Mate....I've been hooked on your vids for little while now. Turns out my grandfather (Who passed away before I was born) was a cabinet maker. My Dad's given me all his old tools, a treasure chest that I'm slowly brining back to life. You have inspired me no end. Thankyou so very much for what you have done.
That sir, is one of the most beautifully designed, constructed and finished workbenches I've seen. Thank you for posting, absolutely stunning work.
I've been following this build from the beginning, and it's been a pleasure watching you work and seeing the final result. Cheers!
Did you enjoy this project?
Don't forget to press the *LIKE* button as it really helps me out. Feel free to get the plans from my website: www.mattestlea.com/shop
Not available at this moment.
I love watching craftsmen do their thing. And that's what you are. The bench is a thing of beauty and something to be immensely proud of. Looking forward to your next projects.
Love, love, LOVE! the dovetails on that end piece.
Just got done watching the whole Roubo workbench build. Matt, you did an excellent job on this bench. You owned up to your mistakes and didn't whine about it, you just found a way around it. That's the sign of a good furniture maker. Keep up what you're doing and improving down through life and you will be one of the greatest, and be remembered for your amazing skills working in wood. Looks like you had a great place to learn in and with very good tools!
Can't wait to see what else you do in life.
Cheers
mark
I’m not a woodworker, but I’ve been watching a lot of woodworking videos. I found this a very satisfying piece of filmmaking, and found the bench beautiful. I’m glad it’s with someone who will use it.
That is art. Simply breathtaking.
Reading through the comments I feel there's nothing left for me to say or add,
Simply awesome on all aspects. I want to thank you for teaching me things i didn't know with an approach that makes me cant wait for the sun to rise and go buy my tools to slowly but steadily start building my workshop.
Thanks again for showing the carpenter in me
Great video. Very inspirational. I started woodworking about 10 years ago out of necessity when I bought a 100 year old craftsman style house that needed a lot of work. My interest in the craft just keeps growing. I Iove it!
I followed your series from the beginning. It was awesome in woodworking, video editing and your narrating as well. I also impressed of your matured and calm voice and manner.
But the best to see was your commitment for quality working. Keep it going!
Thank you Károly! Appreciate the kind words.
Beautiful bench Matt. I'm looking forward to building my own soon. You're a great inspiration for your generation and beyond.
Loved watching you build this work bench, it's a beautiful piece of art, especially those dovetails!
Just watched all the Roubo Workbench videos, I had plenty of time to watch the lot today, currently we are in lockdown because of Covid 19. What a great job you did, love your work and videos, very honest, nothing hidden, well done.
It's been a few years since I saw this video, and when I like it, you do everything. I'm very enthusiastic theoretically I've learned a lot.
Matt Estellea: Thank you so much for sharing all these last years.
Greeting from Norway.
Beautiful. The joinery is what really got me.
Yes, it’s a beautiful bench. You clearly have some great teachers and an amazing facility.
Beautiful, amazing work, that‘s art!
WOW Ive watched you use this bench in your videos but now seeing it being made was amazing. You have inspired me!
One of the most beautiful builds I've ever seen. Truly great work!
Thank you Dave, really appreciate it!
Awe-inspiring, a piece of art, functional of course, but still art! Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
i followed the series of this bench, INCREDIBLE work Matt!!!
Thank you!
Awesome work Matt! Loved bingewatching this series!
Outstanding, was an enjoyable rainy afternoon following along with the build. Thank you
Congratulations with Bertha, she's beautiful!!!
Wonderful craftsmanship my friend. Keep on with it and you will always have a place at the table, and a roof over your head. NOTHING trumps quality...
Cheers mate, appreciate it!
WOOOOOW Amazing now I see what you meant on the japanese-inspired picnic bench with the joints being not carved, but the chunks assembled into the joint !
What a truly amazing piece of workmanship. Just brilliant.
The machinery and wood in this vid are amazing! ⭐️
Oh my gosh!! Wonderful Matt. Love it
Even your workbench is a piece of art... Well done!
Just finished watching all the videos to do with the work bench really well made and that bench is something else. The ash is beautiful great job thanks for sharing
Great series Matt. Finished my Roubo 12 months ago. All done in Sydney Blue Gum Eucalyptus. Certainly a labour of love building them isn't it, especially in such hard woods.
Very riveting. What work! Awesome.
Thoroughly impressed with this. Thx for sharing. Great quality shots by the way.
Love seeing the time lapse footage. Also the slow panning at the end is sweet!
I just binge-watched all of them. I am getting ready to build my own similar to this one but will use 2 x 4s on the top and yellow pine. I will for sure use this leg vise but a different tail vise. Also, making mine 48 inches long since that is the space I have to work with. This one is really elegant and impressive! you should be proud of this!
A beautiful bench! Love the dovetails.
What a beautiful build, absolutely love this. Great film editing too!
Art.... that is that it is. Love the timber choice. Love the workshop. You are so lucky to have access to it.
Not binge watch something so enjoyable in a long time amazing craftsmanship I take my cap of to u sir 👍👍👍
Absolutely beautiful workbench and video. Found your channel last night and loving it already!
You are an inspiration Matt. Amazing work.
That's thee most beautiful piece of work I have ever seen!
Just amazing!
Wow that is amazing. Beautiful build as well as it was presented , A+ across the board.
Man, that workbench is beautiful! Nice job!
nice..... when you start giving names to your tools mustve mean you are really proud of it yes. Thank you for sharing this wonderful build with all of us.
I didn`t intend to utilize this woodworking website, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* but rather curious about it. I was truly impressed after trying it. I was looking to find out more about the art of woodworking, and was not dissatisfied. I found several topics such as wood types and designing your workshop.
Not only functional but aesthetically pleasing. I'm impressed.
Thanks for sharing here.
Subbed and liked.
That is an awesome workbench, beautifully built and finished. Having seen many of your other videos with this bench in use, it's nice to see the build. I would say your decision to drop academic GCSE's and enrol in woodcraft was a very wise move.
Thanks for sharing this cool workbench building video!
I can't wait to see what your future brings. Well done, sir.
Matt, you're a young man. When did you start woodworking and how long did it take for you to get to this amazing level?
I was completely mesmerized this whole video. The professional aptitude you have is that of a much older craftsman. Please enlighten me on your story, I'm very much intrigued. Count me as a subscriber. I'm just starting out woodworking in my retirement years.
Cheers Tony, really appreciate it!
This workbench was the result of 5 years study at Rycotewood Furniture Centre in the UK, hence the abundance of machinery! Before that, I was introduced to woodworking by a bespoke box maker who was an teaching assistant while studying my GCSE's. His work was absolutely incredible. It made me drop out of the academic options I was due to start 3 months later, and enrol at Rycotewood at the very last minute. Haven't looked back since.
I'm currently in the process of getting a workshop sorted so you'll be seeing plenty of content in the coming months. I plan to do a series that is aimed at people like yourself who are starting off and give you solid foundations to build from. Thank you so much for watching and glad you enjoyed!
Well done mate...it is so good to see that the craft has still got a legacy with the aspirations of the next generation 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼god bless
Hi Tony, I have to concur with your comments on Matt's abilities and his younger years, this workbench is outstanding and showcases Matt's talent really well. I like you are approaching retirement in a few years and am starting to gather together the classic handtools that my late father used to own along with a few modern tools. I come from a family of woodworkers but never took up the mantle, instead choosing the motor trade as my career path. It is only now that I am choosing to develop my skills with the video help of Matt and Paul Sellers and to think that Matt has his whole life ahead of him to develop his skills that makes me feel really envious of him, in the nicest possible way. Tony, good luck with your woodworking and Matt, keep bringing us the content we all enjoy.
I also love Matt's channel. While I am older than Matt i still feel like I am rather young when I see others in the hobby. I am only 37 years old and its good to see some other young people in the hobby to relate to. Seeing how young you are also makes me feel like it may not take me 30 years to be half way decent at woodworking 😂
Should be titled The use of industrial wood shop tools. Still a well made commercial Thanks
Awesome work! Amazing looking bench!
You have an amazing talent borne from pure dedication - well done. Amazing workbench! Jealous much!
That is amazing! You are a very talented young man. Thanks!
That is a fantastic video and a remarkably wonderful build.
Thank you mate! It was a tough one to squeeze into 8 minutes but I'm really happy with how it turned out. My mate Rob did a great job on the music too.
Bro, I can barely make a decent wall hangar, you blow everything out of the water on this one man. Great work! You've got a definite career in this if you can do that!
Excellent design, wood, and craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes
That is an impressive bench and tremendous craftsmanship. Well done sir.
Thanks Matt for sharing your enthusiasm for our art....Having worked with wood for 60 years, I still have that 'feeling' for wood. I now have built my own woodturning shop, in my garage, and i so enjoy the new experience. Love your videos, beats 'The Archers' hands down...

Unbelievable good! I have such a long way to go. Very inspiring!

Great video Matt.
Mate, this is an awesome bench and youve clearly got a bright future. Well done.😊
Matt, you've built a beautiful Roubo Workbench. I really enjoyed watching all the videos in this series. Honestly, I wouldn't be able to use the workbench. It is too statuesque. I look forward to watching more videos from your channel.
Came out great! good job!!
Hi Matt, I really don’t have much to say other than ‘Woowee!’ What a piece of woodwork, practical art even.....
It looks to me like a uni project or similar and I’ll bet if it is/was you got great marks for it.
Amazing.
Well done.
(Puts my first work bench to shame, but in my defence I didn’t have those sorts of tools and machinery available to me!!!)
Fantástico. Simplesmente uma obra prima. Parabéns.
Wow, that bench is flippin fantastic! Nice video overview as well
Cheers mate, glad you liked it!
If only we all had access to a professional shop! My jealousy creeping in 😉 seriously Matt I love all your videos! You are so young but such a pro! Bravo!
Love your videos. Very talented!
I've just found your videos. I love them, you've got some skills man and you're obviously a stud too. Much respect :)
Cheers Neil! Just come across your channel and website too, LOVE those skateboards! New sub right here
Amazing work!
Wow that is something else a bench for life. Top music very dramatic had me o the edge of my seat haha
Can't wait to see ya in Birmingham.
That’s a piece of art!
A shout out to all the young men like you and I who are keeping the woodworking lifestyle alive. We could be obsessed with video games or other frivolous things but we've been bitten by the bug, to see the satisfaction of a well crafted project come together in harmony. To continue the legacy of our forefathers from thousands of years ago. With rough hands and broken bodies, we will pass along our skills and form the future.
Well I take that back, I still love my ESO and Doom Eternal! 😁😋👍
buy... i kinda am also a gamer XD
I am also, lol. But it's only a tertiary hobby for me. Next to 3D modeling and woodworking. I definitely game when I want to shut down mentally. I do love it too. In retrospect, my words read kinda snobby, art snobby lol.
@@wattscreates1977 same here, except ther snob art part lol. im just a simple roofer
A piece of Art ! 👍🏼
Yeah, I really need to build a bench like that! I usually find the music on these RUclips videos obnoxious, but that was great. Beautiful work all around!
Cheers Wayne, glad you liked it!
Stunning !
Wowser! Great work!
Pretty cool to watch the combination of Modern woodworking with traditional hand work .
Amazing work ... Kudos
Cheers Mike, keeps it interesting!
Wow! Beautiful work!!
Cheers Bill!
Loved the series, love the bench, love the compilation. Love Rob's muzak. Rob composes such pompous pieces :D Greetings from Finland!
Thank you! I'll be sure to pass that onto him. He did a great job
