My name is Matthew and I live in a van. I lost my job due to "cut backs" from the pandemic of 2020 and decided to seriously restructure my life. I am also a single dad who needed to find a solution that would allow me to remain in my daughter's life and plan for her future. After tons of research into #vanlife, I knew it was for me.
From March 2021 until October 2021 I spent my days building out my Chevrolet Express 2500, which came to be known as "Lucky" and as of October 18, 2021 I have been living in Lucky full time.
The build was done with almost no experience on my end and I used the one incredible tool I had at my disposal - the internet - to learn what I needed to build Lucky into a very comfortable tiny home.
I have always had a bit of a passion for being in front of the camera and really enjoy capturing the world around us. This really played into how I was feeling after almost a year of working from home when I "commuted" from the bedroom to the couch. I was starting to feel extremely unhealthy, unmotivated and despondent. I HATED that, and that's not a word I like to throw around. This new lifestyle gives me opportunities I just didn't have before and I am so excited to be able to share it all with you.
I truly believe we all have the capabilities to turn our lives around, should we choose to do so - and if I can inspire you to shoot for something better then I have done a decent job and that will keep me going.
There is more to life than the consume, consume, spend, spend lifestyle I feel we have all been conditioned to follow and I just want to do the best I can for myself first and foremost. Our time is limited and I do not want to waste another second on a lifestyle that doesn't bring me joy!

When I was a kid, an after tennis practice snack was an English muffin pizza. Same concept as a bagel pizza. 👍🏽 Fun video.

I'm looking forward to this next storytelling chapter. There were teasers and I suspect you're building the story up piece by piece...I'm curious if you'll get full-size appliances for your sticks and bricks, or if you'll cart the fun size appliances back and forth? I suppose only time will tell. You MAY want to consider a "registry" when you are looking to move...many of your followers will want to gift you things to help with your stationary home. Just a thought. x
To start with a would move a few things back and forth but ultimately I would want the smaller items to stay in Lucky because she’s not going to be much of a rest when it comes to camping and adventuring 😁

Fish Creek is a beautiful park for you to spend time at, despite the construction! Love cooking is w 5 ingredients or less, especially for lunch. I never turn off my heater while driving and never had a problem. That being said mine exhausts different than yours, I gots me one if dem fancy stainless steel exhaust ports, so maybe that’s why.

I still have your Coffee Crisp Hot Chocolate on my grocery list (if it ever comes back😔), but I bet you could pop a couple of Coffee Crisp minis in that hot chocolate for a bit of flavour. Glad you’re getting so much use from our cook book🥰. Apparently, it’s the fan in the top of the airfryer (that circulates the heat from the bottom element) that blows things around & can gum up the fan. They sometimes recommend putting a rack on top of light things that could get blown around. You’ll be teaching B to cook soon 💞.

I skip the bagel part and just put a dab of sauce on the pepperoni slices and a sprinkle of cheese and zap til cheese is melted.
I bought a similar adaptor for my macbook pro with a similar case, use a Dremel to notch out the length of the adaptor from the case and u get both ur protection, and expansion ports

That looked yummy apart from I detest pepperoni as much as you apparently detest mushrooms. So my idea would be to put mushrooms on instead of pepperoni. Bacon is the only meat I can eat without consequences so that cheese seems amazing to me, hope they start doing that over here. Xx ❤❤

That song "Lightning Crashes" by Live someone used to make a video of the Oklahoma City bombing. Every time I hear that song I envision the firefighter carrying out this little child from the destroyed building, as it was in the video. Great song that I love, but unfortunately when I hear it, that's the first thing that comes to my mind.

In our family...Someone shared a recipe that they put on a hamburger bun and took equal amounts of shredded onion, cheese, and spam...pop it in oven to melt cheese / they called them baker burgers....then mom made the proverbial mini pizzas, hamburger 🍔 bun again, red sauce, slice cheese, and if like a couple little slices of hot dogs....memorieeeesss🎶

Put a pizza in a blender, emulsify and then refrigerate. After a few hours you have pizza paste!
