- Ashanti is a mom! The singer, and her husband, Nelly, welcomed their first child together. Ashanti first revealed her pregnancy on Instagram in April, chatting with ET days later on the set of her maternity photoshoot. Ashanti and Nelly quietly tied the knot in December.
