So, low glycemic index is usually correlated with whole foods rich in fibers, that's why you can make mistake about causality of glycemic index for weight loss and diabetes. There are refined sugars, like pure fructose, which have low glycemic index, and still will make your overweight and diabetic if you use them as replacement for whole food rich in fiber. So, don't be obsessed with glycemic index. It's based on correlations not causation.

As Arya already said...looking for the magic solution, avoiding the often times unexciting but simple and hard work, trying to be special, looking for shortcuts, avoiding realization of what they missed in life,... Specifically in terms of kcal in/kcal out I think it may be too simple or simply put for some people, or it's too sciency and they think that they are unicorns that are special and need special individualized attention, or it gets shared by people they just don't like because it reminds them of their father, or doctors or so.

Because hormones determine what your body does with those calories. That you need to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight is not disputed. . However if you think on a day to day basis you can control what your body uses, burns or stores simply by the calories you ingest, you don't understand physiology. If all our bodies were were just balance scales, we wouldn't have people yo-yo dieting, plateauing and completely stalling. People don't seem to understand or want to accept that hormones like insulin, cortisol, ghrelin, leptin and dozens of others will regulate the burning, storing and overall consumption of those calories.

That's just bananas! Thanks Layne. please do a video on this guy with the adds "this is a tomato, think it's good for you, think again..." His adds are all over RUclips. So annoying.

When you burnt Vince his add didn't play but Vshred was on this. Clicked on it so he technically paid you after you destroyed him😂😂😂

High fructose corn syrup has about the same glycemic value of cane sugar.
The reason it’s bad is that it’s cheap, so that massive quantities can be added to cookies and pop!

I'm addicted to these weekly videos. You don't need to do the cringy thing I already put the bell on for these videos. I learn so much. I can't believe it's free.

Aaand subscribe, thank you! I hate this trend of hating fruits, I even heard a "nutrition coach" (whatever that is) say in RUclips that there is no nutritional value in fruits. They will advocate whatever artificial sweetener is trendy at the moment, but run away from an apple.

I follow biolayne but this video is a very cheap attempt against Thomas. I dont see any argument here, only side comments.
Sure Thomas misspoke some words in some videos, but his overall message is very clear and effective.

EPIC - I want you to do a video breaking down to Thomas that Whey protein DOES NOT slow fat loss because of the high leucine spiking and insulin being triggered. And because of this, all things in your blood at the time get stored as fat on your body. PLEASE LAYNE PLEASE.

Half way through this video and DeLiar hasn’t pointed out the glycemic load (glycemic index times grams of sugar) is what determines a potential spike!
Thus 40 grams of honey will spike your insulin before a piece of candy with five grams of maltose!

I like some of thomas his video’s but he indeed cherry pickes data. People need to see studies as puzzle pieces that they have to collect to solve the puzzle and not take a few parts and give information then but give info when the puzzle is solved :)

Looks like we all need a degree to be able to tell who knows what they're talking about. Then if we all had degrees, we wouldn't need to get much advice from others. So I'm gonna do what any real scientist would do. I'm gonna buy some of Layne's courses and put them to the test in the gym and in everyday life as a regular person. I'm gonna follow the instructions and find out what's up. Peace!
