I built a 48 volt 1000watt trike. I DO NOT have pedal assist as it it a real problem to hook it up on a trike. I am handicapped, so pedalling is hard for me. This ebike is at least CLOSE to what I would want if I wanted to buy one. My trike has a range of 35 miles at max speed of 30mph. 25AH battery. Obviously, I am no fan of rules a regulations keeping the speed low. This PREVENTS INNOVATION. Good video, though!
I am considering a Himiway cruiser for a number of reasons. I just had a total left hip replacement and looking down the road at 2 knees that have arthritis. I love to bike but for the last couple of years it has been quite difficult. Most of my riding is on road for back country riding and commuting the 15 miles each way to work. I need something that is comfortable, has the range to make it to work and back, is reliable, and has the ability to mount panniers for cargo on my commutes. how would you rate this bike for my needs?
As for range: yes, 30 miles round trip shouldn't be a problem. You'll need to plug the bike in every night, but it fully charges in around 7 hours, so not a big deal. Comfortable: Yes, this bike is quite comfortable. The seat is huge and very cushioned, and is adjustable in a variety of ways. Mounting panniers: I have not tried this, but it is a standard bike, so it should be able to accommodate these. I would reach out to Himiway directly if you'd like to confirm.

You don’t have to live in an apartment again!
How are you feeling, health and fitness wise, after using the bike for commuting for a few weeks?
