As a lifelong Cubs fan, this is easily one of my 3 favorite games of all time. So many underrated heros in that 2016 postseason, Miguel Montero was definitely one of them💪
yesssirr miggy montero was easily one of the most clutch hitters for us in that run. another great game from this postseason was NLDS game 4, that should also be in this series.
As a diehard Cubs fan, this game is lodged into my mind as one of the best games of the postseason for the Cubs in 2016 (next to game 7 of the World Series ofc). The excitement of Baez stealing home, a good fight by the dodgers to tie it and then Miggy’s grand slam that I still get chills watching, just a great game all around
Yes. 2016 was such an amazing year for the fans and team. Wish they had success in 2017 and 2018 but now who knows when we will be back to the winning ways
Toles was arrested last summer when he was found homeless, asleep behind a Fed Ex Building at the Key West International Airport in Florida. He has been in at least 20 mental health clinics since 2019, a year after leaving the Dodgers. Now, Toles is back home in Fairburn, Georgia
I will definitely never forget this one. Montero had only two hits in that postseason, but he made them count. The other was an RBI single in the 10th inning of game seven of the World Series
As a diehard dodgers fan, this shit is in my fucking nightmares. My fandom started around that time and this game fucked me up. But that Montero grandslam THEN Fowler on the next pitch is one of my favorite crowd reactions in any sport, ever. Absolutely mental. I went to game 2 and the loudest the crowd got was the baez flyball to end the 7th. I cant imagine how loud it wouldhave been if it left. At least we won game 2 but kershaw couldnt repeat it in game 6.
Montero is an underrated reason why the Cubs made it to the WS, if that trash bag Blanton doesn’t give up the grandslam, the Dodgers most likely go to LA up 2-0 and finish it there
I'm not even sure how the 2016 Chicago Cubs even lost anything games in the playoffs that year. I always felt they were like a predator toying with their pray, giving them false hope only to come out of nowhere to strike and finish them off, even when they went down 3-1 to Cleveland in the World Series.
@@matthewdaley746 I’d say the giants emerging like they are is going to hinder the dodgers forward. But La is a big market and they’ll always be in contention for a playoff birth.

yo exe love this series, can u add in 2004 world series game 1? no one really ever talks about how amazing a game that was.

No one talks at all about Miguel monteros rbi single in game 7, it was officially the game winner and yet it is never discussed and I’m not sure why

Howie Kendrick as a starting left fielder is so cutting edge. Dave Roberts managing skills at its finest.
When Montero hit that ball I screamed as loud as possible
Man I really loved Andrew Toles.. hope he's doing well wherever he is now
He’s sadly mentally I’ll now

As a cubs fan, I never forgot. This game, game 6, and games 5-7 of the World Series are ones I’ll never forget.
Don't forget Game 1 of the Division series either! Javy go BOOM!
@@nicholashalom1632 straight facts went back and watched those postseason highlights from that year
Another forgotten classic was gm 5 of the 2016 WS. Jon lester, the Cubs ace, facing elimination and started the momentum of the comeback.
2:46 the crowd screaming “3” is pure electricity
Aroldis Chapman was chilling after that grand slam lol
This game reminds me of the 2017 ws game 2.. such a great game overshadowed by another, similar to this
This one won’t be forgotten anytime soon
One of the other craziest games was with the comeback to San Francisco Giants
I miss this team what a time to be alive and to be a cubs fan
I don’t think any Cubs fan has forgotten about this game lol

Not forgotten!
I'll never understand why people would think this is forgotten LOL
For a forgotten classic, you should do the Marlins/Rockies game from 2008, final was 18-17👀
After that Montero slam we all let out the biggest collective scream of relief

Eh uh kind of a big deficit u should of done game 4 nlds 2016 either one
Awesome!
Was Maeda ever good as a starter?
Gonna miss Joe buck on Fox
Idk how far back you go with these Forgotten Classics, but you should do the 1986 ALCS game 5. Absolutely insane game
that Cubs team was fucking stacked
Can any dodgers fan answer why Roberts went with Blanton in the 8th?
Let’s go Dodger’s
You love posting the dodgers losing 😐
Because they're always at the losing end of many playoff chokes
