    Here is the description of this song that was on the album's pre-save page:
    Sharks → A song about perfectionism and judgment. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

      Thanks! Can I still access the descriptions from the pre-save page somewhere? I'd love to see what they had written for each song.

    Agree with your interpretation. I think the part where you weren’t sure who was singing was Dany, either with Pau or with an effect or layering of her voice. Great song! 👍😎

      Someone else in the comments said that Pau sings the verses and Dany sings the pre-chorus and the chorus (and they sing together for some parts), so yeah, that part should be Dany 👌👍
      And yes, this song is amazing 🤘⚡🔥

    Fantastic breakdown - as far as vocals: Pau sings the verses, Dani sings the pre-chorus & the chorus. The “Don’t bleed, don’t bleed” sounds like both of them on the quiet ones, the more powerful ones are Dany. It sounds like they double Pau’s vocals in parts of the verses. It’s all done really well and sounds awesome!
    Agree that the overall sound is heavy, aggressive & threatening - matching the lyrics.
    Thanks for another great reaction, and analysis as well.

      Thank you for breaking down who sings what! For some reason the lines "Shut your mouth, you know / They're bleeding you out" in the chorus sounded a lot like Pau to me. It's really cool how well their voices work with each other and how good they are at making use of that.
      I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the video, comments like these really help get me through the tedious editing process sometimes ❤

      I think it's Ale doing the quiet parts of don't bleed and don't.
      And bones can also be skeletons. They'll eventually fall out of the closet.

    • @bsdsuPASTA
      @bsdsuPASTA  Месяц назад

      @@davejohnston2197 Yeah, it could be Ale, she does a lot of backing vocals.
      I did consider that the bones could be closet skeletons, but I didn't think to say "skeletons in the closet", which would have made the explanation much easier 😅!

    i hear three voices in the "chanting" part... Ale is the lowest with Pau the highest and Dany right there quietly in the middle ready to burst forth... i think Ale also does some of the "don't bleed" and similar parts, at times with Pau... can't wait for some live footage so we can see who sings what... at least live... studio mix can be almost any combination...

    • @bsdsuPASTA
      @bsdsuPASTA  Месяц назад +5

      When discussing who sings what I mostly omitted Ale because I was thinking about characters in the song and who's the "main" vocal for certain parts and Ale very rarely does that (although her solo bit in CHOKE is AMAZING). I'm sure she did plenty of backing vocals and harmonies. That's one of The Warning's super powers, they have the sisterhood vocal buff!
      I would also love to see a live performance of this song so I can see rather than try to hear who sings what, but mostly, I want to FEEL this song live (as in, attend a live performance rather than watch a video). Sharks seems like it would shake my bones in all the right ways!

    • @rebpgh
      @rebpgh Месяц назад +4

      I think Ale's going to be singing Don't Bleed Don't Bleed a lot in the future. Truly a group effort, but also they've acknowledged that this is the hardest and complicated song to get "right" performing this live. They need a bit of down time to practice this.

    • @bsdsuPASTA
      @bsdsuPASTA  Месяц назад +2

      @@rebpgh I should hope they'll be singing "Don't Bleed Don't Bleed" a lot in the future! Although, as you say, the first time we get to hear a live version of it likely won't be very soon.

    Sharks ,otro excelente tema del talentoso The Warning ,tema poderoso y con un contenido lleno de verdad y que base de bajo de Ale por hoy la mejor bajista de rock siempre esta monstruosamente a tiempo,otro gran tema es Consume y Satisfied

      Consume and Satisfied are also great, but the whole rest of the album is as well 👌 KMF is all hits as far as I'm concerned! Sharks is definitely the most powerful of the bunch, in no small part thanks to the bass. The whole song hits really hard 🤘🤘🦈

      I do love how open to interpretation The Warning's lyrics are and how they seem to be enhancing the storytelling of their lyrics with the musical composition itself (although I'm sure at least part of that is just in my head). It's really cool how all of us can listen to the same sounds and come out with something completely different in our heads!

      @@bsdsuPASTA I see the "Don't Bleed, Don't Bleed" line as the old saying. "Never let them see you sweat" or don't show weakness or they'll attack.

    • @bsdsuPASTA
      @bsdsuPASTA  Месяц назад

      @@solarvanlife8177 I hadn't heard the "never let them see you sweat" saying before, but I agree with using it to interpret "Don't Bleed, Don't Bleed". Of course, the song refers to the sharks' famous long range blood detecting sense of scent, which marks anything unfortunate enough to bleed underwater as prey (so long as the blood particles diffuse towards the shark, but that's usually not mentioned in the legends :D). "Don't show weakness or they'll attack", exactly as you said.
      I do a lot of talking in these videos, I'm glad to hear you like it 😄

    *Sharks*
    to me this track seems to be another one about social media and possibly also certain well known industries... "sharks" gather around all the makers, influencers, and artists waiting on them to mess up or put out something the "sharks" can shred to pieces... maybe these "sharks" do this tearing down of others as a way to try to build themselves up? idk but yes, there are and have been shark-like people in every communications platform i have seen and participated in over the last 40+ years...
    Ale's bass is so menacing, predatory, and fearsome... like the bass in the soundtrack of "Jaws" but so much more rhythmic and deep 🤯
    that bass really stands out and drives so many of these new tracks relentlessly... LOCURA!
    sonically, this track is perfect in its depiction of this ugly aspect of our society...
    how do i feel about this track? I _ABSOLUTELY_ *LOVE* IT! 😜

      I'm 100% with you there! I went with a very specific interpretation, but this song specifically seems to me like it can fit many, many different interpretations with ease. Lots of sharks in the "ocean" these days, it seems 🤔
      I checked the song again for the bass to hear what you're talking about (because unless there's ONLY bass my ears probably won't pick it up) and, yes, that's a mean bass line! But then, the whole song is powerful, mean, and threatening. I love it!
      As for the misheard lyrics, I think you have managed to make the whole scene a lot more scary!
