In my experience spinners always have at least two wheels because the first one is usually a lower cost option. A gateway wheel, if you will.
oh i got rid of my starter wheel years ago. my forever wheel is my majacraft rose. then i got a hansen minispinner to speed up plying but i am usually too lazy to set it up. then i got a majacraft little gem for traveling, right before the pandemic hit, lol. that one currently lives in a closet.
Your spinning is beautiful! I've been struggling with my spinning mojo this year too, and I'd really like to get back to spinning regularly. I'd love to do a sweater spin too! Maybe in 2023. When you did your sweater spin, did you spin all the singles first, and then ply them? Or did you do some singles, ply them, then do more singles, ply them, etc?
for the undyed falkland i spun all of the singles first and then plied. since i was doing a 3ply i divided the bobbins into three categories and plied oldest with newest and middlest (not a word, but hopefully you get the gist) and so on with the skeins getting closer in age to hopefully distribute any irregularities that got introduced over time.
