I really want to go to this when I visit Australia. I buy Lightening Ridge black opals, but I have them sent to my country (the U.S.). I am sure to get a better deal if I am there. I appreciate you bringing us this video. Thank you.
Did not know they had a festavile I'm there one year yet too take a bit of hand me down opal from coper Pedy iv got burred.im taking the sand of them in my spare time. With a sharpening stone.but those bringers look the go.
There are a lot of different stall holders, most of them come from different mining towns in the region. People really try to get there stock together for the festival. Its really worth going if you have time. Well priced things sell fast. That jar i picked up at the 10 56 min mark for 1150 dollars was sold already when i went to buy it the next morning. Even local miners and cutters in Lightning ridge are there one month and not there the next. best place to catch them all with there stock and ready to sell is at the next Festival on approx 24th july.
