    I'm a palaeobotanist and those 'pine cones' look more like the pencil pine / king billy pines of Tasmania (Athrotaxis species), which are related to the redwoods, Australian cypress (Callitris) and cedars. The Winton conifer fossils are mostly this family and less commonly araucaria family (wollemi, bunya and Norfolk pine). Reach out to the Qld Museum - two great palaeobotanists there.

    Woah! is that an opalized millennium falcon hanging from your wall? a long time ago in a galaxy far away silica sediment flowed into the voids of an interstellar spacecraft. imagine what humans can find fossicking on Mars

    Soy fanático de los ópalos: aquí en México tenemos una variedad increíble muy distintos a los ópalos australianos. Los ópalos australianos soy hermosos, aún no he podido adquirir para mi colección pero espero muy pronto tener algunos especímenes 😁😁😁😁
