- I captured this night lapse using the Insta360 Ace Pro on a mostly clear night with no moon in December 2023. The Ace Pro did an excellent job capturing the Milky Way and many other celestial features in the night sky.

Did you only use the inbuilt battery ?

Didn't know insta had star mode..that's reason I just got gopro 12..bummer
I use this mode on my Hero 12 often as well. As of now, the Hero 12 offers more options for customizing the star trails including the comet option and the trail length. So I still like the options better on the GoPro but this camera does do the single option it has for star trails well.

Hello I'm in the market for a camera I just want to record and take pictures while traveling I've never owned an action camera which one would you recommend? Which is user friendly?

I own the creator kit version of the Pocket 3 and love it for any type of vlogging or adventures where I’m not doing something that warrants an action camera. The Pocket 3 has features like face tracking, autofocus, mechanical stabilization, and a large 1” sensor that makes it great in low light as well.
I'm wanna replace my shitty GoPro 8 with something new and its either the Insta360 Ace Pro or the DJI Action 4 but as my main use case is night time-lapses I tend to go with the Ace Pro.
Ace Pro is a great night lapse camera and I like it better than Action 4 for night time lapses.
