Really like that the majority of the cases you cover are ones I’ve not heard before it’s great you’re able to raise awareness for the victims, also happy birthday!
It’s so sad to see yet another case of a woman of color who was killed and no one had heard about it. Thank you for covering and hope to see brittanys family get some answers 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻 happy birthday girl!!!!!
It’s an honor to shed some light on your aunt’s case! Definitely praying that you all get the closure and justice that you truly deserve very soon. 💜💜💜
Absolutely! Everyone has their own issues that they are dealing with, no matter how big or small. Who are we to judge! And I agree, the husband definitely knows more.
Firstly.. Happy Birthday 💜 You look stunning! I think you’ve done absolutely the right thing in leaving the Gabby Petito case alone. There’s so much coverage out there (and that’s a great thing!) however, I think that when you DO get that much coverage, from main stream media, social media, and RUclips content etc… with so many people “reporting” on it, the ACTUAL facts of the case can be skewed. You get people giving their own opinions, (which again is absolutely fine), but it’s a bit like Chinese whispers. All this information passed from one person to another ends up being a mixing pot of everything and things get mistaken, missed altogether or unintentionally ends up being false information. I appreciate the respect your showing to Gabby & her family at this time, my thoughts & prayers are with them ❤️ And as I’m in the UK, I never hear of any of these cases. It breaks my heart to see this happening, and I’ve heard the statistics of the missing minority groups and Native American and indigenous women. 😢 It’s one of those things where I feel utterly useless, as I can’t do anything about it. But watching the injustices shown to these women and their families is just horrific 😔. Brittany you are doing an amazing job in spreading the word, sharing their stories and shedding light on these cases which otherwise would end up fading away from the public’s knowledge and lost in the annals of time. YOU my lovely are fantastic! 💖
OMG thank you so much Sarah! Your words are much too kind! And you are so right about the huge cases that people feel the need to report on minute by minute. I don't have access to the most reliable sources of information to report in such away, so I would never want to hop on a bandwagon and possibly report something as fact when it is actually hearsay! I am truly praying for the Petito Family and of course I am watching the case as it unfolds, and truly hope they get justice and it doesn't take years to get it. Outside of that, I plan to continue to shed my little light on other, lesser known cases that deserve the same coverage that this one is getting and Native American or Indigenous women and a big piece of that group of stories. A lot of the reporting is from news sources only within their own community, ,and a lot of the areas where these crimes happen don't allow for city and state cops to investigate because of jurisdiction issues, and when they do, it not with the greatest care, interest, or urgency. That has to change, and that goes for all of these minority communities. Thank you so much for the love and your valued involvement in our little community here! 💜💜💜
YOUR POST IS 💯, SIS! I CAN FEEL YOUR COMPASSION WITHIN YOUR WORDS & EVERYTHING YOU'VE STATED, IS FACTUAL INFORMATION! COMMON SENSE, TACT & COMPASSION ARE A RARE FIND THESE DAYS, SOOOO...I HAD TO 👏🏽👊🏽👍🏽
Thank you so much for covering cases like this. I follow so many true crime content creators and I have about 6 different videos about Gabby's case. While Gabby and her family deserve justice it really made me think that if Gabby wasn't a young, pretty middle class blonde girl living in her van for the experience and was instead a young indigenous woman or woman of color living in a van out of necessity this case would not be blowing up on social media. A lot of it almost feels like people exploiting Gabby case to go viral on social media because pretty young blonde girls generate clicks and ad revenue. Meanwhile this woman didn't even have law enforcement looking for her. I am not saying Gabby doesn't deserve cover or justice but the way her case is being handled on social media really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Oooo Child that necessity vs for the experience gets to me every time! It reminds me of the woman, Amanda Lindhout, that we to Iraq and then Somalia just to experience what it was like to be there during unrest and was trying to establish herself a a journalist through freelance proposals to media outlets, and it didn't turn out well for her.
@@BizzieBrittany I am not in any way trying to say something bad about what Gabby was doing but it does seem like the kind of thing that only people that have never had to worry about having no where except their car to sleep would do and unfortunately I think if what happened to Gabby happened to someone (especially an indigenous woman, a woman of color) in poverty living in their van because they had no other place to live it wouldn't have the media coverage that it has.
@@daphnefallz2489 i 100% agree with you and definitely didn’t take it as a negative statement at all about Gabby’s case. I think there is something to be said about the commonality of people of Gabby’s demographic or something similar, actively choose to put themselves in situations that are less than safe just to experience what it’s like. Her case deserves to be covered because she matters so much, just like everyone else! But those who are in similar situations out of necessity definitely don’t see this amount of coverage. I was just pointing out a pattern that I have been noticing. 💕💕
The latest season of the podcast Up and Vanished features another Native woman who is missing named Ashley. I highly recommend it for anyone interested in learning more
Britney, I just found your channel, and I had to extend my utmost gratitude to you for highlighting this case 😘 My heart is heavy with sadness for this family, for their community, and for our nation as a whole. I'm almost proud of the American citizens, who put pressure on our government to bring victims justice. Thank you so very much 💕
Thank you so much for your kind words! I truly hope to continue the work of spreading these lesser covered stories because they all deserve light. They all deserve justice. 💜
Thank you for covering a MMIW case. My two oldest (adult) kids and grandkids live in Oklahoma where their father's tribes are located. I'm Lakota from South Dakota and sadly over the years I've known too many friends who have had relatives who are MMIW
Happy belated birthday! And it’s really frustrating that this case wasn’t getting the attention it deserves. The fact that it pretty much sat around and the family had to push for anything is so frustrating
Happy Birthday!📍 thank you for all you do and we appreciate you! I also respect exactly what you said about Gabby it's sad but so many people are giving it light yet we have so many other cases whom needs just as much attention! Peace, love and respect! ❤
I truly hope this family gets justice for their loved one! And keep doing your thing! It’s very admirable that you are trying to get the cases less known some coverage. Thank you for giving these victims a voice! ❤️
Thank you for covering cases that aren’t as big in the main stream media. Everyone is somebody’s everything and every victim deserves to have a platform to have their story told. Everybody deserves justice and the way people live their lives or The group that they were born into or the pigment of their skin tone should it be something that determines whether their story gets justice or shared with the world. Brittany sounded like a beautiful person who deserves justice. There is absolutely no reason why she should have been murdered. And there is absolutely no reason why her story shouldn’t be told. We as the public do people a great injustice when we don’t share their stories. Everyone’s story should be shared equally. Of coarse things that happen more recent will always get more attention as they are happening but nobody should be forgotten about. Every victim deserves attention and justice.

Thank you SO much for covering this story! I grew up around, and know her sisters, and knew her! I went to school with them. When we heard she had gone missing, all eyes pointed to her husband.... 😑 However, the OSBI, and Ada PD both dropped the ball, BIG TIME on this case, and basically just played hot potato with it, until it ran cold. 😩🤦🏻♀️
Thank you for bringing this story to life. Please continue to do videos on these types of cases. Also, happy birthday! You look so beautiful as always!!! 🥰 Can you do a video on Jelani Day?
I’m praying that her killer(s) will be behind bars next year. Living in a small town with the Confederated Tribes of the Chehalis Reservation right next to it, there are a lot of women and girls that have things happen to them that go unreported and things that people just accept as what is “the norm” as “Res” living especially when I lived there. My friend that is full blood Chehalis Tribesmen and I talk a lot about life on the local reservations in that area and what goes on and with whom. Life really hasn’t changed much when it comes to crime and hardships since I lived there despite the fact that the Chehalis Tribe is flourishing. There really isn’t a trickle down effect in that sense when it comes to things that go unsaid or things that don’t ever make it on to the news unless the person was a local celebrity of some sort and they go missing or are assaulted if they are Native’s.
Thank you for sharing your experience and perspective on this. It is such a shame to hear that these happenings are perpetual in these communities and communities like these. Praying for a resolution to this case and many others like this one soon! 💕💕
So sorry for the sadness and trauma these families have to go through with the death or their love ones going missing. And how hard it is to get justice most times even when it's clear who the main suspect/s are. I hope the family get justice soon. RIP Britney.😢🙏🏼to the family and friends.

I respect your inclusivity so much! Black and indigenous women are the most discriminated against populations in the US and suffer so much violence. Their stories need to be heard! I also recently found out that Latinx victim statistics are lumped in with white victims statistics even though there are latines who are not white, they're black, white, indigenous, Asian because latine is not a race...so our statistics are extremely skewed and it looks like latine victims get coverage but we really don't. Also, the fed gov LOVES to use tribal lands as an excuse not to prosecute Americans for crimes against indigenous peoples, usually women. I studied this in college and it's so gross.
Thanks 💕 and thank you for sharing that because I was not aware of that either! All the more reason to cover stories from all communities because some statistics can actually be misleading!
The federal government doesn't love to use tribal lands as an excuse not to prosecute crimes against Indigenous people. It's just the definition of "federal zoning". It's the same as National Parks which has the authority over that land. If the federal land designation isn't used then the tribe isn't in charge and undermines their sovereignty and tribal police. The issue is that crimes are committed and unless it is done by a tribal member then the tribal police don't have jurisdiction over non-tribal members. They also don't have the resources because many reservations have a huge amount of land and only a few officers to cover their territory. This is only true on actual reservations. When outside individuals are involved then the tribe can request that the FBI get involved. They can't even request for the state bureau of investigation, it has to be federal because reservations are under the Department of the Interior~ Bureau of Indian Affairs. In this case, most tribes in Oklahoma don't live on reservations because of the laws when the state was created. Britney would be under the jurisdiction of local county and city police. With the recent SCOTUS decision regarding the recognition of the Creek reservation around the Tulsa area will also complicate any crimes committed.

Good for you for telling a story people haven’t heard of. I am hoping Gabby’s case being so overly in everybody’s face (and I say that not to be rude. Absolutely no disrespect whatsoever.) all over the world it will keep people aware of everybody in every community with her eyes and ears the weight of it. And they won’t have to be statements like what you’ve said being made… anyone anywhere should hold equal importance. So thank you for sharing.
Gabby Petito didn't deserve any of the attention. Her story was so flawed from the beginning. The problem with just taking someone's word is that when there is no corroborating evidence at all, it can still damage other people's lives, and in this case, how people view people of color. So frustrating, but I agree there are SO many cases that simply are ignored or unknown to large media outlets and are rarely reported on by more than local media, when others are picked up internationally.
I live in this town and still to this day this case effects our town. I’m glad they’ve been so much progress on this case

Absolutely and I completely agree! Praying for the day that all lives equally matter in the media's eyes.

So her husband killed her
That’s what most think!
