I remember watching the live social blade counts and it seemed quite clear at the time that T-Series was sub botting, either themselves or with the assistance of RUclips (it's no secret that RUclips was eager to see PewDiePie dethroned). Their rate of new subscribers was ridiculously consistent, even when it was 3 or 4am in India where undoubtedly a majority of their subscribers would have been coming from. Obviously, a lot of PewDiePie's new subs came from the creation of alt accounts and probably even sub bots - but it always felt much more organic.

I remember watching the live social blade counts and it seemed quite clear at the time that T-Series was sub botting, either themselves or with the assistance of RUclips (it's no secret that RUclips was eager to see PewDiePie dethroned). Their rate of new subscribers was ridiculously consistent, even when it was 3 or 4am in India where undoubtedly a majority of their subscribers would have been coming from.
Obviously, a lot of PewDiePie's new subs came from the creation of alt accounts and probably even sub bots - but it always felt much more organic.
