Fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian crash in Wauwatosa on October 14, 2021

Wauwatosa Police and the Wisconsin State Patrol are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash on North Avenue near Mayfair Road in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on Thursday, October 14, 2021. A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed. Officers are searching for the vehicle that fled the scene. The driver of the car was trying to stop 4 teens (13,14,14,15) from stealing another car, stole hers and ran her over and fled. they were all arrested a day or 2 later. I work a bout a mile away from where this happend

It's getting to, or past the point of people continuously speeding, running red lights, etc without consequences. The police usually start to crack down by this time ending it until the next time around that drivers are out of control. They seem to be missing this time around. Not enough people to man the patrol cars? On the note of too few officers, I did see a vehicle that apparently went through a stop sign where the road ends at Wells St yesterday, and hit the building across from it. There were several officers standing around, as usual. That's a scene payed out over and over again. Now that I think about it, I guess I'd hang around too considering the insanity of being a cop in that area.
