There's no rough version of Six Shooter?
Rock Barcellos it is a already a rough version in itself :)
@@engelbertus1406 indeed, just wondering hehe
Engelbertus hahaha... nice!
Song for the Dead raw mix (55:58) doesn't have a solo guitar, right?
Can't stop thinking of a "shitty flute" version in the chorus of No One Knows xD
yeah kept thinking of Jurassic Park haha
@@Alistair Same lmao
Thought I’d heard everything QOTSA but had zero knowledge about this, thanks for uploading!
Nick Payton me too
Same here
Finally, the fabled "Jethro Tull" version of No One Knows, that no one knew about... Until now 😀
These demos have been available for a long time.
This version of no one knows was the first version I ever heard. After awhile, I thought I was crazy for thinking I'd ever heard a flute during the refrain. Guess I wasnt! This is awesome.
Ron Burgundy joined the party back then
you gotta watch eric valentines video about the production. he explains where all the flutes went ;)
First It Giveth sounds even gloomier with Josh's vocals at the front of the mix... Chills
Why hello there lie
You gay
Now that I see your comment i realised that I need your review about this version of the album
cmon gimmie gimmie
like the extra variation in the guitar too during the chorus, kind of manic, unpredictable and relentless
I love coming across your comments on random qotsa videos everywhere! XD btw i love your channel, thanks for the knowlege man.
That little sister instrumental is mental ♥️
The album that got me into queens of the stone age
Mine too and I'm willing to bet it's how a alot of people found them considering it's their breakthrough album. But it will always be my favorite from them.
Same
When its just the instrumental, you can really sink in to the drumming on Song for the Dead. Nasty
Haven't heard these before. Kewl!
love your vids
@Metal massacre Awesome cheers
this is *_gold_*
the dirty one
I think I prefer this version of Go With The Flow, honestly (incidentally, the first QOTSA song I knowingly listened to). A lot of the rougher versions on this also sound pretty amazing. Haven't even finished listening at the time I'm typing this but I love it!
The instrumental version of Little Sister has serious Nirvana vibes!
It's cause the drums. That Def sounds like nevermind drums
I'm loving it! Kinda wish this version was fully produced
Fucking A, it does! DAMB
That flute in the No One Knows chorus is going to haunt my dreams!!
i've listened to Songs for the Deaf a lot over the years and I don't know how I wasn't aware of this, gonna be fun to listen to it and hear these songs in different ways.
Listened to Songs for the Deaf during college chemistry lab on the lab boom box. Have it on vinyl in my shop now. It never gets old.
What the hell is this and why haven’t I know about it’s existence
Welcome
I love this alternative version of "Do It Again" !
Little Sister sounds like a Nirvana song 😌
Songs For The Deaf ...their best record for sure!
Man I was bummed when I saw this had been taken down. Huge thanks for the re-upload.
Didn't even know this was a thing! Glad it popped up in my feed!
You are insane! Thanks for sharing with us.
Oh man, this is nostalgic for me , I remember listening these rough versions leaks back in the day, specially the orchestral version of No One Knows, and Millionaire. And I think I like this First it Giveth version better, aswell as Hangin Tree's, Do it Again's and a few others. Great upload
The little piano part cut from the chorus of god should have been left there, such a small thing but makes it heaps better
Thanks for the upload!
I have this on vinyl, and it sounds fantastic. If you're a collector, keep an eye on the red pressing.
Any tips on where I can pick one up?
Millionaire is the biggest kick in the ass song ever. Even the Desert Sessions version is sick.
Good to see this back. These early demos are super interesting.
Love that flaute sound on chorus
I very distinctly remember (some of) these demos, I listened to them on repeat up until I got my hot little hands on the album the day it was released.
The title track chorus is so damn pretty.
Perfect chorus
My ideal lineup for You Think I Ain’t Worth a Dollar, but I feel like a Millionaire would be as follows: Vocals: Nick Oliveri, Bass: Scott Reeder, Lead Guitar: Mario “Boomer” Lalli, Rhythym Guitar: Josh Homme, Drums: Brant Bjork.
This was a great find. “Go with the Flow”, Do it again”, and “First it Giveth” were my favorites on the album and I think I prefer them sonically as they are here; they pack a little more grit and punch. (“First it Giveth” does not sound like it’s in a slower tempo though).
28:32 songs for the mute
One of my fave records of all time
thanks for the upload. my cds got stolen out of my moms car when i was a youngster now thanks to carona aka unemployment i have the time to reexplore all this gold. thanks!
Not that they're different here, but man Nick's vocals on Millionaire are just incredible
Love it, even the new album cover
This is a true gem 💎. Thank you for uploading it.
Holy SHIT. Thanks for uploading this!
I specifically remember hearing that rough version of God Is In The Radio, actually on the radio when I was young and going home. I don't even know how but I remember.
This is awesome I didn’t know it existed as a collection, can’t wait to listen thoroughly 👍🤘🏼✊🏼
That version of Little Sister is strange but I kinda love it
Thanks from Latvia!
Go With the Flow (Total Guitar Backing Track) is My Bloody Valentine meets The Stooges. Lovely shit.
So orchestral arrangement just means they added a flute? Ok then Jethro Tull.
It's funny asf
Agreed.
do it again sounds so RAW! thank you for uploading this
COOL VERSIONS SOME I LIKE BETTER THAN THE ALBUM VERSIONS I HAVE. THANKS FOR THIS. SEEN THEM ON THIS TOUR WITH TURBO NEGRO FROM NORWAY.
So glad this has been re-uploaded. This shit is the best!
Awesome versions of the songs from my most favourite album of the QOTSA. I hope there is a way to buy this version somewhere in NZ.
Where the hell did this come from?! Dude...props
fav album ever
no one knows solo sound like donkey kong 2 stage select hehehe great job !
Buenísimo! Gracias por compartir!
Here i was thinking Rock a bye baby Song for the Deaf (Instrumental) WAS THE DUCKS , Thanks you for all the songs MyQot09
Much obliged Sir
One of the best albums ever made I dont even care
These are not demos. They are just different mixes. Demos don't usually contain the same performances as the finished songs.
I didn’t expect the last wisper in the ending of No One Knows. And All I can hear is “All is meat” or All about meat
i have the bootleg of this on vinyl! lol, it was on amazon. dont judge me
Excited to hear this! Thanks!!
0:52 oh i love this. i wish nick didn’t scream over it
My coffee just got a lot more intense
Mine too!!!!!🖤🖤💙
Lanegan and Hangin Tree 🤘🏽
digging the orchestral @5:28
I burst out laughing at the flute in no one knows
3:42 Queens of the Jethro Tull
god is in the radio mark lannegan with homme oh my goodness
This is real interesting
Wow this version of Little Sister is really different
For anyone who knows this a lbum would agree ....WELL FUCN DONE
Do It Again sounds like it could be off self-titled
Do it Again is more raw and peppy . Rad
Hah ! Good old Queens of the Stone Age when they were a proper band ... saw them live 1st during their ´Rated R` tour, and then during this era ... surprisingly satisfactory without Olivieri when I saw them for the 3rd time at the Brixton Academy , still , a band in obvious decline ... sorry about the novel , some of these versions like ´Millionaire` ( one example ) instantly took me to those 1st concerts . Thanks to whoever posted this - priceless !
When they were a proper band?
That font has been used by Godsmack & Bullet For My Vallentine.
Lol at 33:32 if you have nice pair of headphones or good speaker you can hear someone say "next"
its saying nice lol
Where did you even get this???? :O
Qotsa worship
Millionaire sounds like a RatedR track!
can't hear a single difference
@@engelbertus1406 it's the mix.
@@WilliamYoder72 can you point out some differences? maybe i should listen to it with headphones?
@@engelbertus1406 sure! (This is just my observation) the first thing I noticed right off, the mids aren't as present in the guitar as they are in the final track. I bring that up because the vocals are almost competing with the guitar on the final. Another is (with headphones) that the bass guitar is waaaay in the back of the mix, when in the final, it's right there in front with the kick drum.
@@WilliamYoder72 great thanks! i will give it close listen :)
The amount of ads is really good. Well done on monetizing other peoples music.
16:51 RAMMSTEIN-LINKS 2-3-4 kkkkkkkk
Interesting that you say it is unmonitized yet the owner of what is the world's largest illegal music streaming site, Google, is as always: Making $$ with ads all-over this.
So millionaire it’s the version from the desert sessions
No
No, this version here has Nick Oliveri on vocals, the desert session version had someone else (don't remember who). This version here is quite similar to the album one
@@greatmotherfuckers it's the same recording as the album one, it's just an earlier mix
how is this demo with symphony in backgorund? This is an alternative version of abum
Is this an actuall release or a fan made compilation ?
this is an unofficial release of 2008
How can I get this on MP3???
soundtracks for the blind?
Can someone please explain whats the difference between the rough and the regular versions? Especially Millionaire does not sound very different to me
Use your ears.
its noticable when you wear headphones or a headset that is decent
its just the mix probably, can hear some things louder
I'm just using my phone and I can easily hear all the songs have a dry, barebones sound to them.
The rough mix isnt finished. It needs to be rerecorded with good microphones, good amplifiers, played perfectly with the right sound. Josh Homme can play and know a lot of stuff, but audio engineers have the experience and know how to make it sound good on a record, mixing/mastering..
Millionare, First It Giveth, Go With The Flow, Mosquito Song, and Song For The Dead are all better in this recording
Who plays the drums in this demos?
Dave still plays
Adam kasper didnt produce the record he just mixed it
Well apart from sky is falling and do it again so makes sense probably I only about erics contributions so thats why I thought that
Thanks for the vid
do it again is wayyy better on this holy fuck
Spotify release? 😊
Horrible el arreglo de no one knows... De ahi puse el album original
