Loved the video and what a brilliant day but I’ll bet you don’t get weather like that too often!
Not very often in Wales, so we made the most of it!
Cracking session gents 👍🏻liked and subscribed 🎣🎣
Thank you!
Brilliant angling lads💪🏻
Thanks Calum!
My last sea fishing session ended with Ruff Sea that couldn't fish from kayak, and car crash that took me few months to be back on the sea fishing, I hope my next session will be atleast 5% good like yours 😅 awesome video thanks for tips 👍🏻🎣🐟
Thanks my friend, fingers crossed for next season 🙏
Great session and video, really enjoyed. My best is three in one session upto 4.5lb and was super happy with that. 20 between you is superb. You clearly know your marks and tides. Top fishing Chaps
Thank you. A case of right place, right time - doesn't always work out like that! Cheers
Cracking fish lads, when was this recorded? Is there still bass around
This was mid November just before the stormy weather hit. They are still there and should be until the start of January, since the water temperatures are still quite warm. If we have calm and low swell conditions for a few days then it will be worth getting out again.
The legend that was Clive Gammon reckoned the sea temperature should be 10C or more
That was one heck of a sesh, thanks for sharing. Any reason you didn't go back to the fly rod once you started caning them?
In this case they were hitting the lures just beyond easy range of the fly and the light was going fast.
@FishingInWales mkes sense, thanks!
I would have loved to go back to the fly but they were out of reach for me.
Thanks for explaining both... Just shows the value in the lure rod. You might never have found a fish with a fly I suppose.
Just moved to West Wales, bit difficult getting places to fish with spine issues but I hope to find somewhere good. Enjoyed the video, it was great 👍
You should find somewhere, most of the coastal towns and villages offer really easy access with parking almost right on good spots, for example Borth, Aberystwyth and Aberaeron.
@FishingInWales Thank you
You didn't keep one for supper?
I have-not killed one in 30 years.
Please pray for the reel 😢😂
I thought that, it did make me cringe a little bit, apart from that a great video.
lol it made it after a wash down. Those Spinfishers have an IPX rated sealed system which helps.
Enjoyed that, there must be some cross over between irish bass and welsh bass
There may well be, they do travel a lot around the coasts. A bass tracked in Morcambe bay ended up in Pembrokeshire according to one study
Research suggest that the Welsh and Irish bass are separate populations.
