I can remember seeing these when they were first ever produced. I remember a green 777 and the floral curtains one that you have on the wall in the guitar shop. Really ground breaking design and concept in their day and they still look amazing now. I can also remember in 1989 going into Andy's guitar workshop in Denmark street and buying a reverse headstock Vandenberg guitar . Can't believe it's been 35 years, crazy!!!👍
Yeah man, I always wanted the green one too... but never managed it.. But yeah good old Andys eh.... Nice he's still there.. who knows may bump into you there some time.... I often try to pop in when in town 👍🙏🎸
@@user-qr7ee2cp4y Yeah, the lime green I remember. They looked really different and such a new concept at the time and it felt like the guitar shop went from sunburst and black to a super bright colourful place. I also remember the Ibanez posters on the wall, it was a real change in the guitar world, very exciting times.👍
Beautiful guitar. I have one from '88 (I am the first owner). One of the very first ever made. I noticed by your playing that yours has many notes and licks I have never been able to find on my guitar.
Hahah that's hilarious.... I didn't even know that was in there... I think i was checking to see if the camera was still recording... The joys of recording alone. Also I clearly didn't spend enough time editing this... That whole section was meant to be cut out.... Hahaha Oh well. Made me think of Zoolander for a moment which always puts a smile on my face.... Reeeeellllaxxx don't do it....!!! Dawwww Daw daww!!! 😂
I'm glad the first sale went well. Coincidentally I got my Floral Jam from just off Denmark Street, a shop called All Bang and Strumit, a shop that has long gone unfortunately. I swapped a Jackson Kelly for it back in 89. Wish I still had both guitars, but that's reckless youth for you 😀
Haha nice, wow a Jackson Kelly eh? Awesome. There are so many awesome guitars out there. I've never owned a Jackson actually but always rated them highly. 👍🎸🙏
@@AlexHutchingsMusic when I got the Kelly there was no distributor in the UK, so I ordered it over the phone from Sam Ash in NY, sight unseen back in 1985. I believe it was the first Kelly in the UK, back in my long haired leather trouser days 😀 It came up for sale a couple of years ago, it had a really low serial number, in the 300s but the price was way too big for my small pockets. But as they say, it's better to have loved and lost than never loved at all.
Yes mate, all being well that is coming next week too.... Get ready.. And good luck. As always I'll put a good start price and or a potentially reasonable buy it now price too for anyone that wants to snap it straight up... ;-)
I'm lucky owner of one like this, since I'm 20 ( I'm now 49). It was my dream guitar and I would never sell it. The neck still perfect. SHE is sexy and beautiful, she's the one. Good luck Alex
Right, necks from this era are mind blowing and still 100% straight after so many years. Buyers should sign a contract saying they will take immense care for the next 35 years !! We will check all the Jems personnally by 85 years of age :p)
Argh, sorry about that mate, well there are others coming.. maybe the blue may tickle your fancy? or the White or Yellow? all coming soon mate. Cheers for now 👍🙏🎸
Yeah I get you mate, but people do it all the time these days, it's become pretty normalised over the years. Plus from all the years flying around I've found that the hard cases are pretty sturdy. Plus I'll be adding extra packaging and bubble wrap to them to help protect them.... ;--) Cheers for now 👍🎸🙏
I want my money back! I bought one of your guitars but it's faulty. I had a go on it and it still only plays Twinkle Twinkle Little Star like all my other guitars.
Can i buy your skills?😅because i own ibanez s 540 and rg 550 from 1994 ,charvel usa, fender custom shop strat hss and now after few years and empty pocket😅i know the problem....is my playing😅not guitar.Have a great day Sir😊
😂 Haha, no quite the opposite mate, she wanted me to hold on to them funnily enough. It was me deciding to clean up my collection. These bad boys have been hung up in the living room for abut 12 years, and I never play them really which is a crying shame, they should be played more often... So now hopefully they will be 👍🎸🙏
@@AlexHutchingsMusic Same with me, when I tell my wife I'm going to sell some gear, she says "no! you'll regret it." She's totally right, although I'm just not a collector...I only like to keep the things I use regularly.

@@AlexHutchingsMusic blue and white rub me the right way! 😍
bro just found out about Tom anderson or Surh lol
Are the nut locks missing or did you just not mount them?
Hello mate no I just forgot to put them back on after cleaning it up… comes with trem arm and locking nuts/clamps for sure . Thanks for watching 👍🙏🎸
I wouldn't dare send something that expensive in the post or by courier. I'd have to deliver it myself.

Hello 😍
Hey.... Thx for watching 👍🙏🎸
If you buy this guitar you are going to play just like Alex!🤣🤣😂
If I bought it ...would it sound like that ....?
No .....
So the wife is forcing you to sell your guitars, huh?
😂 Haha, no quite the opposite mate, she wanted me to hold on to them funnily enough. It was me deciding to clean up my collection. @@AlexHutchingsMusic Yeah, better hang onto the ones you do play and let the ones that don't get playtime loose to be someone elses #1!
