good vid. Casino by Nicholas Pileggi is good as well
Did it come with a harness that worked from your stock stereo?
no you have buy it separate.
Nice video. I'm hoping you could help me out. I have the same radio, and the USB Apple CarPlay connection works great with my kids' phones, but any Android phone I try to use Android Auto with keeps losing connection any time the cable is jostled near where it connects to the Boss cable. Could you try plugging an Android phone into your Boss and see if you have the same problem? Just trying to figure out if mine has an issue, or it's just a flaw built into the Boss. Thanks!
My buddy had his android plugged for for a few hours on a road trip and android auto seemed to work fine for me.
@@TanTinPerformance Cool, do you know the model of his phone?
That I do not know. It’s was one of the newer Samsungs I believe
I have a boss 10.1 and my iPhone constantly drops. I believe it’s the head unit I’ve had mine since they first came out wondering if the early runs have the issues?
@@robindavisjr4109is the CarPlay wireless or have to be wired to the phone like a USB?
Ey man would it be the same process to install this on a 1993 chevy blazed?
nope, way diffrent dash in those trucks.
Is it wireless or do you have to plug in your phone to listen music or pull up your maps?
Wired, you can buy a box off Amazon that makes most Apple CarPlay’s wireless. Most radios aren’t wireless CarPlay
I have the same Boss receiver that I'm going to install in my 02 Yukon. I want to install it where the CD player is - it doesn't work anymore and I don't use it anyway. I know I would have to re-route some wiring but do you think it would fit in the CD slot?
I installed a Regular cd player down there many years ago in one and it fit, so I would think this would fit.
Is it better to use an interface- like the one sold at Crutchfield? Or is it better to just match the wires up like normal?
02 shouldn’t need an interface you should just need the standard gm adapter plug
Ok thanks
How did you bypass the parking brake cable
Hooked it in with the ground wire
@@TanTinPerformance so I can connect the parking wire to a ground and be able to watch you RUclips while driving? If it’s not connected which functions aren’t usable?
@@rickyjohnson5713I’ve never been able to watch RUclips on any of my Apple CarPlay, but most head units block video without a parking brake wire.
@@tantintune that’s weak lol. I don’t get which videos would be played on the unit then?
@@rickyjohnson5713 you’d play from the video input on the back the radio.
Nice! how did you set up the apple carplay? i just got this. everything installed. but not sure how to connect the apple CarPlay.
I just hooked my iPhone Up to a USB Cord and it popped up on the Screen.
I can't watch this... drop the back ground music. Ugg
