Thank you so much Chris! It does for sure looks like it is going good for them in the expansion phase. Would be a holy grail to see them be able to get enough data to be able to sell it/have companies buy $FRY to get the data (which is the goal). Would create a nice loop & a good overall goal for DePIN. Especially for Fry foundation since they now cover so many different sectors already

Thanks Petah! Sadly I don't think that would be a viable place since the natural wind/rain path can not be "obstructed". And it would end up collecting the wrong data of the area.
In this regard it does make it quite a niche miner so to say. Certainly a bit difficult to find a spot for

Is there a limit to how many miners you can deploy. Also, is there a "host" option where you could set one up at a friends house and share the viewing data so that they could read the weather data, but not have access to wallet?
This I don't know regarding the weather station. I will see in the FRY discord or let me know if you find any answer.
I think the local dashboard that shows all data is connected to the IP of the user/network. Not either sure if Ambient Weather is able to have multiple IP's view someone else data. But it definitely should be an option to go look at the data through an explorer or something similar. Idk

You can use which one you would like. As long as you can add crypto tokens manually. So, "pera", "my algo wallet" and a lot others work
Do you know what the range is from the console to the weather station?
Hmmm....I actually don't. However, I could guesstimate it to be up to 20 meters maybe? If there is good line of sight/direct phasing window. Not so sure though

This is the same device I have been using for the WXM project for over a year.
Same here! Although it seems to be a tiny bit of change that makes me think it's another model. Like, another color on the solar panel & guard placed in the rain collector. But in the end, it measures same parameters.

Will the earning reduce if there are multiple miners in the vicinity?
Hi! No the earnings will not be reduced. As long as you just have one per your account/IP address I see no affect in there being multiple weather stations in the vicinity being setup by others. The weather stations for that local area will then be able to provide some good accurate data.

Good question, I see that there have been loads of discussion about it in the Fry discord channel. Here is what I gathered.
I have seen answers saying: "UK high end weather miner EU 868 mhz".
Here is a comment from one discord user talking about the 4343 mhz.
"As long as you don’t live next to a radio ham then you can use 433 in UK - I have a large 433 transmitter on my house so I can’t use it 🤓 There are some restrictions around London but up to 432mhz only - Location Restriction: In addition it is very important to note that the band between 431-432MHz is not available for use if you are located anywhere within a 100km radius centered near Charing Cross, London. "
Seems like the same discord user who left the above comment is running a 868mhz weather miner in uk.

Is there a list of which brand and model numbers are high end weather miners ?
That is a very good question and not something I can see on Fry's website. It only say's that the version and brand can vary. Perhaps the Fry discord have a better answer there. Let me know if you manage to find a good answer
It is pretty shit by now. you get ~0.5$ of fry, and it is going down faster than I would like.
My friend got this weather miner, when rewards were ~7$, I heard about it when it was ~5$, that's when I ordered. By the time I received it (had to wait few months), it was 1$ worth of rewards. I have it for one month and it is 0.5$ worth of fry at the moment.
Calculate the ROI from that miner and compare it with the ROI of bitcoin miners & other kind of traditional miners. The numbers are still very good imo

I believe they send some of their miners in batches that occur at certain times during the year. But yes, their discord is the place for questions to their team
