    Well, maud died about 20 yers before Haakon so she did not keep living in Norway after the king’s death she died in england and their son was two years when they came to norway so he wasn’t born here but in appleton house.

    Maud didn't overlive her houseband, King Haakon. He died in 1957. Norway didn't fight in the first world war. As a new,independent country, Norway was neutral.

      No. It was the condition otosclerosis, inherited from Alexandra's mother Louise.

    King George's V(so did his son's Edward VIII)resemblance to Zar Nikolai II was great. That's so tragic, that he didn't help the Romanow family, but he was a heartless person , all those poor, precious animals. The Romanow were yet just another victims of his insensitivity

      There are rumours he visited brothels (he was treated for gonorrhoea, probably caught from a prostitute) but he died from influenza which turned into pneumonia during a "Russian flu" pandemic that had started in 1889. There is no evidence he had syphilis though.

      Supposedly he was a customer of male brothels, not sure about heterosexual brothels, but his cause of death was listed as influenza inspired pneumonia.
