at first, i didn't think it was cool that these episodes are so spaced out from each other. but now, i'm like, this is making me want to put the CD back in my car a jam again like i was that first week it was released. these videos kinda keep the record fresh all year long in a way lmao

This was better than the album, and I loved the album. I wish more bands did this, it’s a shame the RUclips algorithm buried these episodes

Wow. I’ve always thought the chorus of this song was to droney and long, but hearing Spencer talk about it at 44 minute mark I appreciate this song way more and I understand it perfectly now. How they almost wrote an anti chorus:

Emotions are not always nice and neat. They are gross and overbearing and scary at times. I think keeping those lyrics was the right choice. When you listen to it it sounds like pure frustration and hopelessness where you just shout things that you might not mean, but you are so upset it just comes out.

I have always admired Underoath because they don't sound over-produced. I feel similar to how Spencer was saying listening to perfectly tuned and timed screaming parts and just not feeling anything. Love the interview!

Have you ever seen the making of "Lost in The Sound of Separation"? They talk about that a lot. If I remember correctly I think their producer/engineer or mastering engineer was fighting with them (Having a debate) about them doing things so unconventional and not recording vocals and a bunch of other things in a way that wasn't ideal for getting the perfect take and always wanting to have that "Raw" sound. The guitarist gets in with the engineer. It's wild but it was such an inspiration to always do things the way you want and learn not to do things just cause everyone else does it that way. If you haven't seen it you have to bro it's so good!

Love your honesty Spencer. We all have felt what this song says, even Christians, whether they admit it or not. So happy for all of you and everything that has been accomplished in this crazy time we live in.

This is the best band documentary series ever imo. Every episode has been so great ive listened/watched them multiple times each. So grateful we’re getting this. Just wish they were every week but I get that’s probably too much to ask since so much production clearly goes into them. Stoked for Thorn next episode!

I always saw Underoath as a best friend. I didn’t have a family that validated my emotions and the music became a space for me to connect as well. Thanks, Spencer!

With every album they've done these behind the scenes how it's made videos and you can truly feel how much they love this band and music in general and you can hear it when they play. They've been my favorite band since 9th grade and I'm 31 now. That says it all

No Spencer you’re not tooting your own horn, it’s in the performance. It’s why we’re all still here.

I’ve seen UnderOath many times over the years and their set last year at Furnace Fest and this most recent tour (I caught The Fillmore MD) were so full of energy and passion. I felt like I was back in the early 00s. I’m the same age as Spee and Aaron, it’s very cool to see everyone’s growth over the years. 😍

Thanks Spencer! This was awesome. It was great to get your take on sharing these issues that aren't always talked about. Being there for those who are alone. I respect you a lot for your honesty around difficult issues and struggles. Thanks for delving through your feelings and sharing them with us, especially the difficult and uncomfortable ones. You are an awesome role model. Not because you're perfect, not because you have it figured out. Because you're honest about where you are and you care: about what you are doing and about others. Like you mentioned, it isn't every day we get to see men share their feelings. I'm so happy for you breaking your cycle of addiction. May we all break our negative cycles and create positive cycles.
Also thanks for everyone who made The Making of Underoath's Voyeurist series possible.

43:00 the audio that's playing, is that the demo? the melody part is higher and his voice frys in a way that's definitely not on the album
45:15 and what is this audio??? is this an unreleased track like they had with Loneliness and Another Life in 2018??????

This song more than any other feels like it should have been the follow up to LITSOS, but I do think the album as a whole is the first one since LITSOS to feel like UØ

"We don't listen to heavy music" Spencer define heavy cause that bar moves a lot😆
"Goddamn is gonna offend people" sir. The rest of chorus is darker than heaven, empty as God.

I think these dudes may hold the record for most headlining shows ive left before headliner goes on. Though Coheed has btbam, glassjaw + mastodon. Pretty close. AYO THE USED, WYA THO??? 😂
