Completely agree with you, Ben. I don't really care how other people implement carnivore. If they can tolerate and want to pour 400 grams of carbs down their throats, fine. Where I draw the line is where influencers start recommending advice like that to hundreds of thousands of followers, particularly when many of them are metabollically ill. They need to make it clear that their 'implementation' of carnivore is NOT optimal and not necessarily a good idea for everyone.
With Bart, that's a persona he uses to get clicks. If you view his Nutrition Science clips where he appears in shirt & tie, you'll see a lot softer Bart, but as he says, fewer people watch those. I like Bart's approach because he states what the optimal diet is (100% carnivore), but admits himself, that even he transgresses; but as long as you understand that there are consequences, you do you. What I like MOST about Bart is that he UNDERSTANDS statistical inference, and insists that the scientific method MUST be adhered to in order to establish causality.
Exactly! I'm not perfect, I cheat every once in a while too. But there's a big difference between doing that with an understanding of the tradeoffs in mind, vs. doing it because you actually think it's good for you, as the fruit & honey people have now led countless truth-seekers into being confused about. I will not die on the hill of being perfect, but I will die on the hill of being honest with myself and others about what perfect is.
If i wasn't healing my crohns disease , id have a little fruit. Strawberry 🍓 and blueberries 🫐 on occasion. It'll be at least a year for that. My crohns gone since I've been on carnivore.

I can instantly tell which one is carnivore and which one is vegetarian in all these arguments. The vegetarians always look unhealthy.
