Dr. Berg, I think you need to write a book explaining which supplements to take when, with what combination, and why. And if you’re feeling up to it, which supplements or minerals to take for certain diseases. I take notes, but I feel like I might not be the only one who would want this kind of book. Thanks!
Cod liver oil for Omega-3, vitamin A, vitamin D. Nutritional yeast for B vitamins. Red meat for iron. Eggs for all kinds of nutrients. Lots of salads for potassium. Always try to get your nutrients in a natural form.
Thank you from Singapore Dr Berg. Vitamin D 50,000 IU with K. I use your brands Benfothiamine Magnesium and Zn. For menopause women like me, sleep is now 8 hours! Doctors in Singapore are warning of D toxicity. I have learned to listen to my body!
They started saying that in the USA. I don't listen to them, I listen to Dr Berg. The toxicity of vit D is a lie! They know we feel better with plenty ofD
I have been taking Dr. Berg all vitamins, gallbladder formula, probiotics, and digestive enzymes religiously for over a year now. I feel more energetic and less stressed, I noticed less inflammation, and I can eat pretty much everything where before I felt discomfort and bloating after a meal. Thank you, Dr. Berg !! You are a life saver.
A lot of women have digestive issues from high estrogen (and low thyroid, causing less biles to be made by the liver and subsequent gall-stones and gallbladder romoval). Bile salts, ox biles, TUDCA all help.
How this teaching is needed, oh my ❤ I considered myself very health aware before, but even then I took multivitamins, though better quality as I bought them in the health store, but still... I realized after listening to this man that even the good quality ones have some of the low quality vitamins. Now I take beef liver supplement (from free cows), natural vitamin C (from actual fruit), D3, magnesiumglycinate, k2, Brewers yeast, nutritional yeast, seaweed (pills), krill oil, and a few others. I also take fermented dandelion juice and eat saurkraut and kimchi. Now everything is natural and easily absorbed. Thank you ❤
I bought vitamins and supplements from a well-known company. I never imagined that they would put maltodextrin in them, but several did. I’ve switched to Dr. Berg’s and my health has improved significantly.
Fantastic video. I've learned this myself a while ago but it's so good to show people this. Before I buy any supplement I make sure to compare at least 50 different ones to each other and most of the time only 3-5 products even make the cut. Most have got the worst forms of the nutrients, loads of starches (or even maltodextrin) and magnesium stearate and loads of other completely unnecessary ingredients. Do your research!!
@SusanHarrell530 I've seen you commenting "which vitamin? which probiotic? which mineral?" a lot here. It seems like you just want easy quick answers and aren't willing to do research. If this is really about your children then it should be worth every bit of effort. Stop being lazy and get to researching.
@@AlexLinger-u7l I’ve had it for years and got diagnosed with a hiatus hernia, which is very common as we age. I take Omeprazole as required and it works wonders. However, since going OMAD to shed some weight I’ve found I don’t need the Omeprazole any where near as much.
I would love to see a video/chart organizing all of the major supplements and nutrients (and the recommended formulation, eg folate or glyphosphste) into a schedule that maximize their benefit by avoiding taking things together that interfere with each other, or taking them at the times you’ll best absorb them (eg before sleep, after sleep, or split across the day because of short halflife). I’ve tried making this for myself based on the advice in your many videos, but I don’t feel I have a good grasp on it yet. Basically it’s “a recommended schedule for taking multiple supplements”.
DR BERG, GREAT EDUCATIONAL VIDEO ONCE AGAIN!!! Dr Berg what do you think about NAC? Do you think it's safe to take 600 mg 2x a day if so how long should one take it should they rotate it off certain months? I think you should make a separate video on what nutrients and vitamins average person should take on a daily basis.. I myself think a daily vitamin, CoQ10,vitamin d3- K2 mk7,B complex, OMEGA-3 FISH OIL. , there's some others but those are the main and of course trace minerals. I apologize about the long video I'm speaking on a mic🎙️, so it just keeps texting as I speak. Dont follow what I’m doing but I’ve been taking 60,000 IU of Vitamin D3 which has K2. Along with many other supplements at mostly regular dosages but the D3 has helped a lot with immune system, relieved my allergies and overall health.
I love watching Dr.Berg talk about these topics because I can actually use them in the job I'm currently working in and actually recommend customers genuine products and advice
I hope Dr. Berg sees this and that would be a great video. I have grandchildren and as a child I remember being called lazy however ,there were many times I didn’t feel well and/or I felt fatigued even after sleep and I didn’t know how to explain to my parents how or why so vitamins for children are also important. ❤❤
Well, I've decided to take D3 supplements, one little pill a day. And that's to deal with my candida problem. My tongue has had a white coating for many years. But since I've taken just a little dose every day for less than a week my tongue is almost pink again.
Timely as usual... I appreciate Dr Berg & trust his nutritional, health advice. Been listening for years now, struggle to put it into practice consistently though...
I think microbiome and conditions like SIBO can be a factor as well. After a few years of not really feeling anything from dozens of supplements I started alternating probiotics and antimicrobial supplements and noticed improvements in just one day.
Plz suggest which multivitamin brand is the best for women & men What about kids.. 10 & under can they take vitd3 with k2.. I’m confused can kids have vitd3 with k2 for teenagers & kids under 10 Thx doc❤
Ofc they can, it's essential to all humans. Regarding brand just do your research. Multivitamins are horribly formulated most of the time, it's very unlikely you'll find a good multivitamin. If you're convenience oriented without wanting to make sacrifices the best balance is: Taking D3&K2 in a combined pill with fatty meals. Magnesium bisglycinate by itself before bed, Zinc Picolinate or carnosine. The closest thing to a "multi" vitamin that makes sense to take is a b-complex. Be careful, 98% of b complexes are absolute garbage so only buy one if you're willing to go through the ingredients of 100 different ones and choose the 2-3 that are actually valid.
Growing up as a kid in the 70s in Germany, I had to swallow cod liver oil with a spoon (no capsules, I still remember it to this day, the horror of having to swallow it!) and my mother put us in front of a UV lamp in winter to make sure we got some vitamin D. I was also an avid cheese eater (still am) and thus got vit K2 with it. Scandinavian countries add vitamin D to milk and other dairy products. Kids need vitamins as well as adults, maybe even more so as they grow and need to build bones, muscles etc...
Dr. Berg, would love to see you show us what is your supplement stack looks like and what do you eat on the day to day basis (roughly). I know it opens a room for criticism from the "smart" people on youtube and that is fine but would love to see it.
Most of that is on point. The comment about potassium though, maybe you'll make a video, potassium in high doses is not a good idea. How much did you suggest? Did i hear that right?

Is there any possible nutrient deficiency/imbalance for not always getting tanned in the sun? For light colored person, sometimes there is a decently good tan after a day of two in the sun (let say 30min minimum at a time), while another time the same person doesn't get any tan at all, instead might get a bit red, yet stay white at the end of the day. I appreciate all you do for everyone ❤
One more thing, not all vitamin brands are on the up and up. I was watching a channel that does vitamin testing and I came to find out the particular berberine I was taking only measured at 5% berberine of what it was claiming.
I find it extremely hard to get 4,700 mg of potassium everyday! In the morning I eat a tangerine. I've added a kiwi. I'm eating mackerel and eggs... I eat vegetables... And still on a good day. It's still around 2,500
I asked Doctors' Best about the maltodextrin content in their nattokinase capsules, as I was taking ten caps per day. After a long wait, their emailed response was that it is "proprietary information." I have since switched to a formula that does not contain maltodextrin. [Dr. Berg, I can forward the emails to you if you would like.]
Dr Berg, thank you so much for sharing your continued knowledge of the human body. I have learned so much from your really enlightening videos. You mention Vitamin D a lot and I was interested in your latest comment on the use of VItamin D and also Magnesium deficiency. Can you advise on how much Magnesium should be taken by a vitamin when using 11,000 IU of D3+K2? Also is D3 +K2 helpful with LPR (Silent Reflux). I welcome your reply, many thanks.
Honest question Dr Berg. I bought a 5000 iu Vit D3 based on the benefits I learned from one of your videos which even recommended 10,000 iu. My doctor however said the a safe daily limit of it should not be more than 4000 iu. How should I reconcile this.
I see a functional doctor now and she agrees with Dr Berg so over a yr ago I increased my K2D3 to 10,000-200. My D now on labwork finally came up to 80!! So glad.
If you’re deficient in vitamin D3 Meaning 19ng/ml = 19000 ng/L 5 liter blood - 95000 ng = 95mcg 1 mcg vitamin D = 40 IU 95 mcg = 40 x 95 = 3800 IU. Doesn’t make sense right? It’s already in deficient category and doctors are recommending lower dosage. If you want to maintain or increase vitamin D level For 30 ng / ml = 6000 IU For 40 ng / ml = 8000 IU So on… Toxic level = 100 - 300 ng/ml That is 60,000 IU per day (you’ve to do this for months or years to reach toxic levels) Dr berg recommend dosage 10,000 - 20,000 IU per day. Which is not high at all. Hope this helps
Dr. Berg, would you do a video comprehensive list of vitamins and mineral supplements and their therapeutic dosage to help us correct chronic diseases such as diabetes and kidney disease and other chronic conditions?! You talk a lot about the benefits of therapeutic dosage but hardly ever mention the actual therapeutic dosages.
I have been doing so much research about stomach acid , I have changed my entire life around and I am doing clean keto exercising , red light therapy , steam spa , occasionally doing cold showers , sleeping almost 7 hours per day , taking supplement ( good quality ,) and I cannot for the life of me fix constipation and my night blindness. I am taking 2 tudca in the a m. On an empty stomach and 2 late afternoon. I have started taking hcl with pepsin before I eat a few days ago. I don't think I have enough stomach acid to absorb vitamin a ( night blindness ) and the constipation could be my stomach is to alkaline . Edit : I've been making l reuteri with l gasseri yogurt for over a month , hasn't helped and I've been growing my own broccoli sprouts and radish sprouts. I wonder if I may have sibo from low stomach acid
Thx Dr Berg for ur great Videos, can you please tell us the top list of vitamins that we should take with the right dosages in case of vitamin D3 as 10K IU or even more, or maybe you can hopefully create like a table with dosages for each vitamin especially D3 and K2 and Magnesium Glycinate and Zinc and the other trace minerals
Love the explanation of vitamins and supplements and how they work. I’m trying to find my way of just eating my nuts, but I do more carnivore so I worry I’m not getting enough.
Has ANYONE ever seen what a vitamin actually looks like? For example, what does vitamin D look like? Have you ever questioned why these scientists or nutritionists have only shown us computer generated images or cartoons of vitamins and minerals but not the vitamins and minerals themselves? Why?

Hello Dr Berg, would you consider removing the magnesium stearate (flow agent) from your supplements?
So take with a meal and shot of acv
I asked Doctors' Best about the maltodextrin content in their nattokinase capsules, as I was taking ten caps per day. After a long wait, their emailed response was that it is "proprietary information." I have since switched to a formula that does not contain maltodextrin. [Dr. Berg, I can forward the emails to you if you would like.]
How much magnesium should one take if they are deficient? And what kinds? Thank you.
Your doctor doesn't seem to be properly informed. 4000 iu is suitable for up to a middleweight, but for heavyweights it becomes tight.
You can check your blood levels before supplementation, then take some, a few months later measure it again, if still not enough, increase dosage?
@ thanks for the info
I see a functional doctor now and she agrees with Dr Berg so over a yr ago I increased my K2D3 to 10,000-200. My D now on labwork finally came up to 80!! So glad.
If you’re deficient in vitamin D3
Meaning 19ng/ml = 19000 ng/L
5 liter blood - 95000 ng = 95mcg
1 mcg vitamin D = 40 IU
95 mcg = 40 x 95 = 3800 IU.
Doesn’t make sense right?
It’s already in deficient category and doctors are recommending lower dosage.
If you want to maintain or increase vitamin D level
For 30 ng / ml = 6000 IU
For 40 ng / ml = 8000 IU
So on…
Toxic level = 100 - 300 ng/ml
That is 60,000 IU per day (you’ve to do this for months or years to reach toxic levels)
Dr berg recommend dosage 10,000 - 20,000 IU per day.
He has, he had a video and links to the studies. I remember it was like 50K IU vit D for one of them.
@ if you don’t mind, would you tag me in the video that you’re referring to?! Thank you in advance!
Is there a particular supplement to better/increase your stomach acid. thanks!
Thank you for the great video.. how can we find the therapeutic dose of supplements like b1, zinc, potassium etc?
Love the explanation of vitamins and supplements and how they work. I’m trying to find my way of just eating my nuts, but I do more carnivore so I worry I’m not getting enough.
Has ANYONE ever seen what a vitamin actually looks like? For example, what does vitamin D look like? Have you ever questioned why these scientists or nutritionists have only shown us computer generated images or cartoons of vitamins and minerals but not the vitamins and minerals themselves? Why?
I have to flush two times because stool sticks to commode. It’s stomach problem since last 6 months and my family doctor didn’t figure out the reason. She referred to gastroenterologist. But I want to know the root cause and its natural solution. Did you make video on that?
