Can't Connect to PSN? This Trick Is Working for Some

- We're not network engineers. While we have a basic understanding of the Internet and how it works, we're not blessed with the knowledge required to fast-track your connection to the PlayStation Network. Fortunately, some people are, and there's a nifty trick doing the rounds that will apparently help you to log in - even if you've been struggling for days.
Sony has said that it's "slowly" restoring service, but if that's not good enough for you, navigate to 'Settings' on your PlayStation 4, then click 'Network', followed by 'Set Up Your Internet Connection', and finally 'Custom'. Set all of the values to 'Automatic', apart from the area labelled 'MTU Settings', which you should manually change to 1473.
Again, we've no idea why this works, but apparently it does. Remember, you should revert the MTU setting back to 1500 when the PSN is fully fixed - and also, we're not taking any responsibility for any subsequent errors that may occur as a result of this guide. Hopefully, one or two of you will find it of use, though.

when I tested internet connection the thing that says PlayStation network sign in says failed
Try to go to the Playstation Network website on another device (desktop or laptop would be advisable), log in to your account, and check if it logs you in.
If it does, don't log out yet. Try to login to PSN on your PS4. After entering the password, you should see your account logging in.
I logged on at the Trophies screen and my PS4 just synced my trophies, confirming that I was able to log in.
Bear in mind that I used 8.8.8.8 as my Primary DNS, 8.8.4.4 as my Secondary DNS and 1476 as my MTU before trying to log in at the PS4. I did not change any router settings or at my desktop.
What if your ps3 won't connect to psn but it's connected to the Internet? it says that the password is wrong but it's not

If when you do internet connection test it says : "The router in use
might not support ip packet fragmentation and some network features of
the PS4 might be restricted (...)", then check in the parameters of your
router if the WAN (or Ipv4) adress is private (xx.xxx) or public
(xxx.xxx). If it is private, ask your internet provider to change your
ip to public and your problem should be solved!...

Ok I fixed it I had to go on the main screen not in settings but the screen where you see ps store, what’s new, and all your games and stuff. On the bottom part of the screen it says sign in to PlayStation just hit your X button and it will ask you to agree to terms and conditions. Hit agree then keep hitting next and you can sign in. Hope this helps.
