No issues whatsoever ? I have seen some complains about Pads specially in Mute Mode and a "Missing Cal: Pads" error appering in some (older probably) units.
Nice video! sound good... I have a few question please master! Pads are velocity and pressure sensitive? Can you disable quantize for unique beats? Is there any way to make rhythms with triplets like in salsa or cumbia music? And the last question is if you can modify the samples at a deep level?
Hi Pralu, thanks for your comment! First of all, I am by no means an authority on the subject, but I can answer your questions: Pads are velocity and pressure sensitive, you can disable quantize, you can make rhythms with triplets and any feel or groove you want. For your last question, can you define deep level? The Rytm MK2 sample engine is essentially on the same level as the Digitakt. Hope that helped!
My friend, great video. Two question: - How many preset pattern factory are there, 32? - And, in "SCENE", you have a list of different variation for each pattern and also the Fill? Thanks a lot, I subscribe you.
48 factory preset patterns Scenes are per pattern (or per kit, not 100% sure yet), they are variations of parameters for each pattern or kit and you can have one activate at any point Hope that helps!
Hey Zac. That just depends on which pad mode you're in. When you're in play mode, the currently selected pad lights red, and in scene mode, all scenes light up blue. Totally normal operation.
Hi, do you have any idea of what Pink Pad in Perf Mode means ? I got mine yesterday a MK II Black model, and upgraded immediatly to 1.61... Sometimes a Pad in some Perfomances, gets Pink in Perf Mode…and does not change to normal, unless i touch it. For example…play A1 pattern…change the Quick Perf Amount to 12 o clock. The 10 CH turns to Pink. Now change to pattern A2…the 10 Ch pad continues Pink, and only goes back to normal if you touch it…changing the Quick Perf Amount does not affect it. Same Thing with Pattern 1 and 5 of the New Blood…some Pads become Pink in Perf Mode, when you turn the Quick Perf Amount knob…and don’t go to normal color behaviour , when you change pattern…unless you touch the Pink Pads, again. Have you noticed this ? For example ate 10:15...you have several Pink Pads in Perf Mode, also,
Hello, yes I have noticed this, and it’s actually a clever (and oddly obscure) function! When you hold a perf pad while in perf mode, then click any other mode, for example mute, while holding it - it will hold that value until you touch it again. Just discovered this by trial and error and it seems to be an intended function, albeit a bit oddly implemented. Hope that helps!

Two different machines. I’d argue that the DN is way more advanced in terms of synthesis capability, since the sound design of the Rytm is very limited to make the proccess faster. The Rytm of course has other functions that make it great, for example sampling, scenes and performance functions. I do find the Control All function on the DN to be more immediate and intuitive though.
I have GAS for that ! However, it is quite expensive machine. I'm generally producing ITB. I know it is analog machine but do you think it is worth the price? I mean sound quality etc. Ofcourse it can give some pleasure which effects the performance of producing sessions but the sounds really different from samples or VSTIs in total mix?
Hello! I can only speak for myself, and the reason I keep it is because of the fact that it’s a standalone hardware machine that sounds great. I use it in order to stay away from the computer and get a more hands-on approach. I do live techno, so any machine with a 16-step sequencer would do really, but the Rytm does all I need and more. I think the main reason to go for a machine like this isn’t the sound, although it does sound great, I think it’s more about the workflow. For me it’s definitely worth the price, and if at some point it’s not, I can sell it and get back most of the price I paid unlike software. Hope that helps!
@@sindre.pedersen Yeah, I'm working on computer for my job and sometimes I really want to break away from it. Feeling of the machine is there I can feel it :) however it is kind of expensive in my country. I also have UAD plugins and they sound quite good, they really adds warmth but the main sound source is from samples or soft synths. I'm currently searching for second hand Mk1 but no luck for now :(
@@GG-wx8en I get that, same with me - I try to stay away from the computer when making music because I do all my work on one. Hi! Cool demo! Is there any substantial difference between the grey AR and this new black version? I mean this black one is a bit expensive I think... Is it still worth to buy 2021?
Bank A sounds wicked, but the old ones (from B and onwards) sound ... meh. When Elektron released the product, they didn't seem to put enough effort into demonstration of its capabilities. I have one like this and was really underwhelmed by its old presets. Anybody has the same opinion?
Well, its a good thing the preset patterns are there just to listen to once, then you go off and create your own, so it doesnt really matter now does it?

No.
How to load presets? Can't find them on my mk2 black anywhere. Pls help
Thanks for posting this audio. I'm sure I heard a 909 hi-hat in there. Does the Mk2 come with built-in samples? If so approx how many?
There's a sample library out of the box, so you're probably correct.

Try factory reset. If not, download them from Elektron's website.
