Who else comes to this page every year 👀 lol *Edit* I come every holiday and I ask myself “I wonder what me and Philly J gon cook and impress the family with this time” 😂😭😂
Idk if you're reading comments a year or two later, but I've been following this recipe for the last 2-3 years. I absolutely love it, and so does my family and friends. Thanks.
Wasn't married to my hubby years ago and got invited to my first Thanksgiving with his family. I asked him to ask moms what i should bring and she said ham. Found this recipe cooked the ham and was there at noon to help with the cooking. Didnt know she don't let nobody cook but her. She thought I was bringing a raw ham. Anyway damage was done and the ham had to be served. When i say that ham was gone i mean gone. No left overs and everyone kept telling her she had outdone herself with the ham. Long story short. I am now the family designee for every ham for 6 years straight. Thank you so much for this recipe and making me look good every holiday.
INSTRUCTIONS Injector Brush Thermometer 160° Toothpicks Ham Butter Honey Apple cider vinegar Sliced pineapple (2 cans) Cherries (1 can) Pepper Brown sugar (1 cup) Mustard Cinnamon Ginger Cloves Defrost ham and place it in the pan. Cut slits in ham Smear mustard, ginger, cloves and pepper onto ham. Pat and press in brown sugar and sit for 2 hours Add your pineapples and cherries w/ the toothpicks and add some apple cider vinegar around the base. Add more spice to the top! Make your glaze with the measurements of your choice: start with melting butter in a sauce pan, then add brown sugar. Add honey and 1/2 of pineapple juice. Add the cherry juice, stirring frequently. When you feel it’s all mixed properly, it’s done. Brush the top of the ham with the glaze. Stick thermometer at the center of the ham (thickest part) and set for 160°. Place the ham in the oven at 360° for about 2 hours (or until the thermometer reads 160), brushing the glaze on top every 20 minutes. Once cooked, drizzle more honey on the ham. Take your injector and inject the remaining juice at the base of the ham slowly into the ham. Happy holidays 🍂🍁
