Not hearing low tones is rare. Usually you lose the higher frequencies first
Yes, low frequencies are detectected at the inner most part of the cochlear, higher frequencies at the outermost part, it's why infections tend to knock our higher frequency hearing first. This also suggests she may be developing a genetic condition, she has my sympathies.
I think not hearing low tones is not really bad thing for Nene.
Most idol song and conversational in medium-higher tones.
*except ASMR that need low tones.
However, the smaller you are the less you are able to hear low frequences. That's why elefants can hear infrasounds and humans not.
Please protect kanata and nenechi's hearing 🙏
the thought of going deaf is very scary
Scarier than going blind for me.
I guess so. Due to a birth defect and awful earphone habits I have very horrible tinnitus now. As in I can hear the ringing even while listening to songs, it sucks.
But I think I'd rather be deaf than blind. I'm afraid of the dark, y'see. I don't even like closing my eyes in the shower.
@@DinnerForkTongue what? going blind is a thousand times worse. If you suddenly go blind you're trapped in darkness not being able to do anything without help
@@overchipz
And you think you have ANY situational awareness without hearing?
@@DinnerForkTongue uh yes? way more thanbeing blind lol. Or what, if you're wearing earphones blasting music in your ears dont you have any situational awareness since you cant ear anything besides music?
Being deaf you can still write, watch, be inependent an move around without help, just gotta be more careful and look around more. You can read, you can cook, exercise, dress yourself properly, shop, you can drive
Kanata : Welcome to the club !!!
wait...Kanata have hearing loss too?
@@indrahaseo Chronic and so far incurable, I'm afraid 😣
@@indrahaseoyes it happens for a long time already, it is the reason why she do less karaoke stream
@@indrahaseoyes, completely deaf in one ear, ringing 24hours. Other ear is slowly going to deaf.
@@indrahaseo one ear loss, there's probability of other ear infected too but we never heard of it from her so probably fine for now. It's the main reason she stopped weekly karaoke 2 years ago but she gets better voice control now
She's a type of girl who'll hide her pain with her smile....
Losing the ability to hear certain frequencies is a scary thing. I hope she is able to heal and have at least some of it return. She has a very positive attitude which will help her deal with anything that remains
can that be healed? i hope it can
@@TakoVirus sometimes it is temporary due to inflammation or an infection. Hopefully it is not permanent
Your body ain't rented. You're with it for life. Please protect it like your life depends on it. Because it actually does.
Loud music is probably why nene, and so many people in the comments are experiencing it.
If I told you "hey, would you like minor to severe hearing loss within the next 9 years?" you're obviously going to say no. However, keep the loud music around, and that's what you'll achieve. If it's your job causing it, invest in ear protectors. Your entire ability to listen depends on it.
Aw, poor Nene. Awesome that she's so positive but I do hope she gets her full range back. That 'constantly having water in your ear' feeling would be low key maddening imo
I know exactly how she feels since I also experience hearing loss in low tones. It's known as Endolymphatic Hydrops, and the symptoms include fluctuating hearing loss in low frequencies, tinnitus (ringing), and ear fullness or pressure. These symptoms can come and go over days, weeks, months, or even years. In some cases, it can progress into Meniere's disease, leading to partial (or full) hearing loss in one or both ears that becomes permanent, it's incurable😥. Kanata probably has it too. :(
Make sure to take care of your hearing, guys! You don't understand fully until you have hearing damage yourself. I'll never hear pure silence again because of tinnitus from riding dirtbikes with no hearing protection and I'm only 18 years old...
Yep, tinnitus is no joke. Haven't known true silence since like 13 😅
Tinnitus is atrocious. God help us.
I'm born with a congenital defect where my nose bridge (idk the medical term for it) is very small. So when baby me had colds, the snot flowed out of my ears instead of my nose. Then when I got older my left ear got infected twice, the second time bled out and took months to heal. My tinnitus is so bad I hear the high pitched whine even while listening to music. On the bright(?) side, I'm so used to it I tend to forget about it after a while, so it's not that bad.
Let's just hope it will be cured or at least her not hearing low tones. Hearing loss is frightening .I just hope for the best so Nenechi
She'll be fine, Nene is like Beethoven, she'll be an even better idol.
What slowly becoming insane?

Nene, shocked, upon being told she has hearing loss:
WHAT?
i actually woke up the other day and thought i was deaf in one ear. after a $200+ doctor bill found out it was just a middle ear infection. it's been about a week of low volume in the left ear but apparently it goes away on its own. still waiting dammit.
Bless Nenechi, she's an inspiration. Powering through all her health issues 🧡

Doc: you have hearing loss
Nene: Eh?
Doc: i said you have hearing loss
Nene: Eh?
I can relate about that matter too. It was hard in the beginning, having trouble to sleep and taking sleep pills to solve until get it used to that.
Take care of yourself seal wife.
Good thing already a team working to recovery any kind of damage of hearing, bad thing can take many many years to release something...
I think there's already solutions for this issue. I think There's videos the internet having that people.hearing for the first time content. But hope the condition don't affect Nene much.
Doctor: Nene, you have hearing loss
Nene : What?
Doctor : Nene, you have hearing loss
Nene : My what?
hopefuy sshe puts off wearing headphones for awhile
I wouldn't be able to help but laugh if it turns out her medicine tasted so bad because it was supposed to go in her ears.
husbands, we gotta spend some cash to help her
Nooo my wife😢
I learnt in my mid twenties I have hearing loss to such an extent, that my hearing is worse than many OAPs, and require hearing aids. It sucks, but I'd rather this than be blind (I also wear glasses and every eye sight test I get worse). Even with hearing aids, they only assist and dont fully correct hearing, annoying that people dont understand, even family members still forget I'm a half deaf human.
i fell sorry for her..
but at least she still better than kanata..
What happened to kanata?
@@JustArei She has chronic hearing loss. One ear is pretty much gone, the other will also be eventually.
@@DinnerForkTongue oh so that's why what happened to kanata, I didn't know about that kanata has hearing loss
@@DinnerForkTonguenow I'm having thoughts of Kanata graduating due to hearing loss 😢
@@kusakabehibana31 There are hearing aids she may eventually use. Also, technology may improve further in the meantime.
There are already experimental devices that were able to make deaf people hear again, in limited tests.
my wife has hearing loss? I would give my hearing to my wife at all cost
I have some bit of low frequency hearing loss as well, it's not much though, but i'm to keep an eye on it.
Using headphones too much can cause hearing loss
It depends. I've been using earphones almost everyday for decades and use it when sleeping. It's probably genetics. Hope it doesn't affect her that much.
Only if you use them to hear loudly. I've worn headphones for more than 20 years and still have "tuberculose ear".
Stress related hearing loss is far more common than those caused by headphones. But you have to use open or semi-open headphones though cuz closed-backs cause ear infections quite often lol. But in the end of the day it all comes down to genetics. Even monitors causing bad eyesight is a myth. If you have good genetics, you'll have good eyesight into your 40s or 50s even if you're staring at an IPS screen 16 hours a day.
So it will be easy to know if I have hearing problems since we live at a high place…
Whats she saying? I cant hear the subtitles.
She's maybe watched too much hentai
Real talk, I'd rather lose use of an eye than of an ear. What Nene is saying hits hard.
Hot take? Maybe. But it's what I think and that ain't changing just because someone can't relate.
you crazy
@@LordSpectreXIII A friend told me that there are actually psychological studies that prove everyone has a preference of one sense over the other. If you ask other people what would they choose to lose, between their sight or hearing, people would answer differently.
For example, he said that he would rather lose his eyesight than his hearing. For me it's the other way around.
