If you want to impress me, send some on down here to Western NC where Helene has destroyed everything. My ol' worn out Caterpillars and Deeres are helping right now at my cost.
Great machine that as a mechanic and operator I am very excited about this design and would love to see more companies actually offer these great features in there product lines. In isolated work areas that machine is by far the best I have ever seen so far! Well thought out and reliable, that is a true forestry workhorse!
Well done video. The product manager did a great job of highlighting all the exclusive features of this machine clearly and It looks like another exceptionally well thought out machine from Tigercat. I particularly like the emphasis on the ease of service and maintenance. In my experience if machine is going to be run by employees and it is difficult to maintain the maintenance will not be performed adequately. Another thing that stands out to me is the inclusion of hooks for a hard hat and other PPE, as well as a space to secure a lunch bucket. With hardhats costing upwards of $100.00 and a requirement for us all it’s important that they are considered in cab design. She looks like a worker to me, I’d like to have a chance to get some time in on it!
I’ve never been around Tigercat equipment let alone ran one but I do understand their tough well designed equipment. I’ve spent lots of time in bulldozers and I’m really liking the design and layout of that 920 dozer. Everything has good steel unlike the tin cans John Deere and Cat are making nowadays. I highly doubt I’ll see TCI on regular construction sites anytime soon but I’ll be looking forward to the day it happens locally to me.
Great looking machine. Couple things though, thank you for putting a winch on the back! As a logger when I first saw these I thought, great a cat all set up for logging but no winch. Secondly how about a grapple? It’s been what almost 20 years since Cat made the 527/517’s. They are getting worn out. I realize it’s tough to build a machine that can yard and push but with the skidders you guys make any more just a single function grapple and winch would be cool. It doesn’t need to compete with the rubber tired skidders just fill in when something breaks down and keeps an outfit producing something. Plus it can push in roads, build skid trails, pull trucks and doll up a road when it gets nasty. It’s a tall order but I think our industry is ready for a grapple crawler again. Just my humble opinion. Take it with a grain of salt, everyone else does!
Holy crap, a company who put not just a place for a dinner bucket but also a place to hang your hard hat?!?!?!?! 🤯 Lol seriously though, there’s a lot of nice touches that I see, like the blade pitch shims vs the stupid turnbuckle, looks like a hell of a nice machine
Awesome well built and serviceable..

I like the look of that bulldozer . Built to work, built tough. I hope they come to N.Z. thanks for posting the video. 👍
Very nice looks like a great dozer to use in the forest.

Really gives me the idea that there is an extreme Liebherr infuence, i wouldnt be surprised to find liebherr cross reference parts on this machine
