When I was a child watching 80's movies, I thought that if you learn high kicks you will be fucking unbeatable like Jean Claude Van Damme. Then 25 years later the kinds of Daniel Cormier and Khabib proved me totally wrong. Kind of a fairy tale disappointment but better to know the real thing. Wrestling first then everything else as martial art is concerned.

I Wasn't really a Barboza fan, but watching him knock people out and not immediately start hammer fisting the crap out of them makes me have great respect for him. Bc that's what most these cocky fighters in the UFC do, they smash your face in until the ref breaks them up.

Barboza has the best kicks of any MMA fighter ever. The speed of those body kicks are faster than most fighter's jabs. It's just unreal. The only person with technique as good as him is Uriah Hall. But Hall just doesn't have the timing and confidence that Barboza has or the output.
Eduardo Flores yeah, it’s why when he does land a shot it’s devastating. Punched a guys eyebrow off, spinning headkicks that make people lose days worth of memory. He even dropped costa with a left hook before losing. He just needs more output. But he’s soooo focused on defending/dodging. But every time he successfully slips a strike, he should be counter striking with the created opening. But he just stands there, slips again and again until he gets hit because they know how he will slip now. It sucks, because we all know if he just got his crap together and put real pressure on people he’d KO virtually any striker in the first round. Instead he walks backwards until he almost loses and is hurt and slowed and tired before he actually fights back.
I'm asking myself this the whole time: how can someone kick so fast??? How does edson do It? When I kick, it's like in slow motion compared to barboza. Anyone know how to train kick speed???
Undisputed you need fast twitch muscle fiber, on top of having perfect technique. Its not really possible for most people

Despite the overzealous Hooker fans, he never had a chance but Gaethje is a different beast. He always goes forward, which Barboza can't handle.
@@ChrisDynamo I really am hoping that is the case. Barbosa has just been so good at controlling the pace with his legs. You're right though; he's going to have to put Justin down if he wants him to stop coming forward.
Don’t under estimate Gaethje, one thing he does very well is pressure his opponents and History has shown that Barboza does not deal with guys marching him down in a fight
