      But I believe I hears Charles isn't only a black belt but has like 3 of the red stripes on it as well. His grappling is a thing of beauty.

      I used to think he was a nobody/quitter. Hated him with a passion after the Holloway fight thinking he was a coward (tbh, never understood his situation). After a couple of watches, improving his striking, he popped out of nowhere as a juggernaut and fucked up everyone. My idol Charles

The man comes from nothing and is very humble. He’s learned from his loses. This isn’t boxing. In MMA you have a million different ways to lose. Charles is amazing and nothing you say can take away his accomplishments.

    One thing you notice about him in his early fights is how young and skinny he was. People still judge him based on old losses but he never took the easy way to the title the way young fighters do now

      He was fighting at Featherweight most of the time when he was younger. I think the weight cut really used to hurt him. Since he's gone up to Lightweight he's only lost once (to Paul Felder). Seems a lot more comfortable at 155lb.

    How can anyone not love this freak-fighting athlete? Not just for his incredible skill, especially his ground game would class jujitsu, but also for all the good this man does in his home Brazilian city.     You can clearly see the evolution of his game. First 7 minutes all submissions then he learned how to strike at a high level making him so dangerous. A complete fighter who can win in anyway possible who has found his stride and debunked all who thought he was a quiter. Man has resilience, undeniable at this point. Scary.

    I am a boxing fan but this man is INSANE‼️ his technique and patience & his IQ n conditioning is unparalleled and his heart and chin and just over all ability to work at such a fast pace is amazing. You literally have to knock him out with one punch otherwise you won’t beat ‘em. If you even drop him and try to beat ‘‘em while he’s down he will get you. He’s like a anaconda, once he grabs hold of you their is no escape.

      MMA Fans want this but not UFC fans (specifically those PPV salties).
      This sport isnt as NOBLE as we think it is. People is gonna prioritize Business and has big draw. That would be a weak one in terms of money but good for Noble cause of MMA. People tend to hate on these type of thing because not that big money is involved.
      In Brazil and Russia, UFC is literally broadcasted Live on TV, Unlike in NA that you have to pay for it.

    I remember seeing this dude's first couple of fights in the UFC and back then you could tell there was something special about him. He had some tough losses which he overcame and then turned into this absolutely lethal killer. When he locks up a submission it's lightning quick. You're dead. And you know he can hit hard when Gaethje says so! Total badass.

    Not only are his transitions a work of art, but his control of his opponent is top tier. Controlling their legs/feet/hands/arms while also working on a submission is what really separates him out. And he does it lightning quick.
