You forgot some things, the diplocaulus does extra damage to trilobites making it good for chitin collecting, megalania gives mega rabies, pachyrino has the same front protection as a trike, the tapejara can hover and fly in most directions.
Sadly megalania are only really useful for cave exploration and pvp. The ammonite is really not useful. My list is 1. Yuty (boss fight buffs) 2. Daedon (boss fight heals) 3. Thylacoleo (great for exploration, and do good damage while being able to take it) *I would have rock drakes here if I was counting dlc* 4.tapejara (amazing for 2-3 person taming, stalking, and traveling with allies) 5. Argentavis (best for resource runs that require traveling because of the 50% weight reduction, and with two ppl you can carry an anky as it hits metal) 6.basilosaurus (oil, cant be stunned, and super tanky) 7. Giant bees (honey for kibble, etc.) 8.achatina (paste farms) 9. Dung beetles (if you dont have one then what are you doing with your life? Spending time pooping in toilets, really?) 10.Megalania (cave crawlers, breeding for toxin, and rabies) *in pvp it is bumped up to 8 but I thought I'd include pve. Would also replace it with an enforcer for pve if I was including dlc*

Parasaur, has a “detect” ability to detect any enemies in the area when tamed 5. Trike, useful early game, the trike can knock back targets when they hit targets with their primary attacks and with their charged attacks they can stun enemies briefly!
Nr. 1 for me is Thylo. When you have ~220% movement speed. You are seriously fast. If you are SP, go into Ghost mode. Was able to get from the one side of the map to the other in like 1 minute
I tend to use the creatures with ranged abilities as turrets on my boats as well as at my bases. You can combine the Dilos with the Arthros they have a turret mode that let's you make them stationary and they shoot their spits at the enemies, the dilos blind and the arthros spit acid that both harms and breaks armor.
Thylacoleo is without a doubt my favorite ground adventure/travel/scout mount. It has good health, damage, carry weight, speed and stamina. Also it can swim relatively fast if compared to other land mounts (not counting crocs or diplocaulus) besides baryonyx and spino. And it can climb vertical walls and big trees. It's awesome for combat and escape if you need to because you can just run on a large rock or up a cliff or hang on a cliff and heal then drop back down. It's not my first choice in combat since obviously something like a rex has higher base health and damage but thyla is still very good in combat. Thyla might seem slow but it is quite large. It actually moves around as fast as a sabertooth. If I'm correct they have exactly the same running speed if it's 100%. Tho thyla can jump way higher and further.
Theres some missing info in this but good. Like Thylacoleo climbing structures,swim fast. Also Otter is worth mentioning, he can protect you from heat and cold So you dont have to worry about vestments. And. Tapejara can fly in a sphere without turning hsi body
For the pachy as i know it has 2 ability 1. calm pheromones (realese pink gass that calm nearby hostle dino, if a wild pachy realese calm pheromone on you or your tame, you or your tame stamina will all gone) 2. Rage pheromone (realese red gass that make dino nearby attack even passive one)

I just started playing for the first time, it's so much fun! I'm really surprised by how effective the Dilophosaurus are as the internet thinks so little of them. I know there are far better dinos but theyre out of my league as a solo player so far and crew of 3 or 4 Dilos has saved my ass from a lot of sticky situations so far.
I've done a tamed Lvl180 Giga vs. Lvl85 Alpha Rex, Alpha Rex slaughtered the Giga due to the fact that the Giga attacked so slow and the Rex kept getting underneath the Giga and it couldn't reach the rex

Moschops is better for getting chitin off of trilobites. Megalania loses its ability to inflict disease once tamed.
