I am glad to see you living your days so fully, with a reasonable amount of care. Give your lovely wife my best wishes and prayers for you to have many more adventures together!

      Stop eating Animal Products, check out the videos of T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn and his diet to reverse heart disease. Yea reverse even if your doctor and the FDA denies it being possible! Eliminate all processed foods! Good luck. If you don't believe then... have a good trip.

      @@plantsfair look into meat based diets like carnivor diet. I've lost weight, feel better than I ever have and have reversed so many of my medical problems. Everyone's body is different, some work better running off of greens and some work better running off of red meat.

    Dan, you should start at the bottom end of the claim and work up. Every year the bottom washes down into the next claim and wash down from the top claim down onto yours

    Just a thought, considering you’re next to a fresh water river, couldn’t you carry some water purification tablets/water filter so you always have the means to get water if needed? Or even a life straw so you have something for an emergency (god forbid there ever is one!)

    • @taylorgalilea698
      @taylorgalilea698 3 года назад +3

      This is exactly what I was thinking! I've been hiking with people who have water bottles with built-in press filters so they can fill their bottle and immediately filter it all, that could also work.

    • @jmcr71795
      @jmcr71795 3 года назад +6

      I would like to point out, that water purification tablets only make bad water "better", not good. I learned that in a mountain war zone in Nicaragua back in the 1980s. What I would have done for a life straw!

    • @robertwheeler9540
      @robertwheeler9540 3 года назад +3

      All you need is the life straw that's it. Meridian sucks straight out of the sludge pit it purifies the water as you drawing it and it'll pull salt out of the sea you can drink strait saltwater the LifeStraw is the s***

    • @MrImpossible86
      @MrImpossible86 3 года назад +1

      The Fraser River is so murky I'm sure it would plug up a life straw very quickly. It's not very remote, so bringing water isn't a big deal

    • @kiefmanning7394
      @kiefmanning7394 3 года назад

      @@robertwheeler9540 DO NOT drink seawater through a lifestraw or any other camping/back packing filter. The only ways I am aware to desalinate water is through a solar still or traditional distillation or a reverse osmosis filter. Do your research don’t trust comments on RUclips.

    I first tried panning back in the early 1970s, at Edmonton's Klondike Days. Years later, when living in Vancouver and then on The Rock, I would go panning in random spots just for fun and never found much. Then I moved back to the flatlands and working in the oil patch, and was exposed to hydro-vac trucks (I ran a little 5-ton hydro-vac for one company). Now, watching you, and other RUclipsr geologists, scratching and shoveling possible pay dirt with anything you can, from picks to round nose shovels and even battery-powered wet/dry vac. So, add a pressurized water spray and a larger vac, perhaps with a 5 gal. pail before the vac. The vac would prevent run-off while the water washes everything clean. Just an idea...

    I bought a Mazda ( used ) recently and I used to detail cars for a living . The previous owner didn’t care about driving off-road and was in a gold mining area ( Timmins Ontario Canada)
    I couldn’t believe how much fine sands ( and magnetite sand ) were caught by the floor mats . After hosing them down, using a carpet cleaner and let them dry , I still was able to beat 1/2 a cup of super fine sands out of them .
    I had cleaned all kinds of cars and never saw any other floor mats capture so much fine sands and would surmise they would work amazing for flour gold 😉
