Oh man, I'm so excited for this. One Piece is such a spectacular, immense, insane journey and I'm thrilled to be able to watch someone see it from the start. I will say that I am a manga reader, and I do personally think the best way to experience the series from Marineford onwards is in manga format, but I've also seen other reactors really enjoy the anime as is, so we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. No matter my opinions on the anime it is just fantastic to be able to re experience this story again and I can't wait for everything to come.

Yeah, One Piece is fun. It's the type of show you don't see a lot in anime anymore where you see a lot of Looney Toon wackiness. Even now One Piece gives off a completely different vibe than it did back then, but the thing that made One Piece last so long before getting story heavy was because of it's wacky nonsense.

it's honestly good timing to start it bc the writer oda is slowly starting to reveal some stuff and although the one piece probably won't be revealed for a couple more years it's really good to get caught up before it does get revealed bc there's really no avoiding it afterwards. especially with op community it's really hard avoiding spoilers so i advice not to read comments later on when you're done with the first couple of arcs.

It's interesting how despite how interesting a character Luffy is this wasn't a story to start until he met his first friend Coby. It's not a journey without friends/companions!
All I got say is from now on careful reading comments on socmed or just scrolling through them in general...one piece spoilers is everywhere especially the manga current arc and few big moments throughout the series even it happened 10years ago they still pop up on socmed which can be hard to avoid especially for new watcher/reader
