You talk aboutonly sarieghat war but in ahom ruling time there are many war was held in Assam with many tribes and subtribes . Maybe people known that ahom defence power through your video. But ahom King was very rich and powerful in socially, economically, politically etc... They are really good King . They rich our culture. Ahom king was built many historical fiction. If I told you about Ahom history that can be never ending in a day . There are many people in ahom empire who was died for thier nation . For example JOIMOTI , LACIT BORFUKON etc . I think that not only Ahom history but also Assam history was very very interesting . We felt like history is a boring subject but I think history is a very good subject. History told us our root level . I'm a student and I read about Mugal empire and Assam history because I live in Assam and read in State board level school. Maybe in ncert book there are one chapter was about Ahom history .But I always think that why we don't know about South India history ??? I am from Nagaland residing from Ao tribe. My grand father told me stories about my village being attack by other villages. My grand father told me that we were saved by Ahom chuba in ao chuba means God. It’s a long story some villages of Ao had a good relationship with Ahom chuba.
to say ahom have relation with all tribes and kingdom of ne... many nagas tribes would often raid ahom villages... and some supported the ahoms...... Ig not sure about this but Ao nagas supported the ahoms
Not to mention when Raja Gadadhar Singha (I might be confusing the name) escaped from usurpers, and when they were threatening his wife, Sati Joymoti, he took refuge in the Naga hills. He came back down to Assam with many Naga soldiers by his side and bested his usurpers. If I remember correctly, this started the reign of the Tungkhungia clan of the Ahoms.

As an Ahom I'm very thankful of you for bringing up the story of Ahom dynasty. But for your information Ahom dynasty was mainly form Chinese province of Yunnan than came to Burma than to northeast.
Thanks for bringing up this topic and Hope this will be added to the history books in future. I am proud to be the descendant of the Ahom Royal family with the surname 'Konwar'(Chao Noi), and I like your videos very much. THANK YOU
Loved the video and the content. A couple of things about the pronunciation: the word 'Ahom' is supposed to be pronounced more like "Aa-hum". The pronunciation just gets lost in transliteration. Also, anytime you come across 'ch' in an Assamese/Ahom name written in English, you can be certain that it denotes an 's' sound. So, "Laa-sit" for "Lachit". In the general's name, the surname is also pronounced as "Borphukon", with an 'o' sound for the last 'a'. Not an attempt at discrediting you people. Great to see you choose this topic.
Nicely explained, similar S is pronounced as H, so if we come across any Assamese/Ahom name beginning with S like Sarbananda Sonowal, current chief minister of Assam then it will be pronounced as Horbanondo Honowal (Assamese people usually write H as X in spelling, but pronounciation will be the same)
Like rest other states, Ancient Assam/ Pragjyotispur [(which capital was Sonitpur in ancient era) have also links with mythology in DWAPAR YUG... Ban raja as Banasur( king of Pragjyotispur, which capital was Sonitpur), Whose daughter Usha was married to Lord Krishna's grandson Anirudh.. And Narakasur from Nilachal hills( presently Guwahati city is a part of it, Narakasur hill top in Guwahati) and Chieftain of MAYANG region/(forest area) was Ghatotkach (Son of Bhim in Mahabharat in Dwaapar yug), and last Daanav king was Mahirang Daanav which was the ruler of Kamrup region..... And so many modern, medieval and ancient history links will start to come out... People from Rest of Indian States thinks that there was not any historical records links with mainland India...but this is not true...they think like this because our education system didn't introduced our northeast India history in our school texts... They read about Ashoka, Shivaji, Babur, Humayun, Nawab of bengal Sirajuddaullah ,even Khilji also but they don't ever studied about Sukapaha, Lachit( pronounced as Laasit) Borphukon... People know about Mahabharat story, but don't ever tried to know where is Sonitpur, Pragjyotispur, Mayang...
During my school, I was never taught such brave and glorious history of our north east worriers. I heard it from my kids!! Congress and its leader have done uncountable sins with real history and culture of India.

No need to make such film by bollywood, Cuz they will make it into a dumb. Putting some extra ordinary spices then it will be more unlike to be taste.
Why so that they can ruin history and replace Assamese people with whitewashed faces ?
Haven't seen anybody representing Northeast India in Bollywood. They are good on their own and will make films on theirown.

Hi , I'm an Assamese and as a Assamese I proudly say that ahom is the best empire in Indian history .
As a Indian I think we should konw about not only Delhi history but also known about Indian history.
I think my comment is so long khene to bahut kuch that but thik hai today I will be stop now. Alright that's it .

I am from Nagaland residing from Ao tribe. My grand father told me stories about my village being attack by other villages. My grand father told me that we were saved by Ahom chuba in ao chuba means God. It’s a long story some villages of Ao had a good relationship with Ahom chuba.
Ahoms also had good relationship with konyak tribe ...
to say ahom have relation with all tribes and kingdom of ne... many nagas tribes would often raid ahom villages... and some supported the ahoms...... Ig not sure about this but Ao nagas supported the ahoms
Many Naga mercenaries did join the Ahom Kingdom and fought for them.

Hope this will be added to the history books in future.
Explained in a nice way 👍
Beautifully explained

Congress just glorified Nehru and Gandhi during freedom movement... not even Subhash chandra bose and the Mughals by giving them the title 'great'...
