You can use the same technique to find accomodation in Edinburgh as well. Infact anywhere around Europe...
It's just I am not part of their community group so I don't have those links... but try to connect with someone who is studying/working there...
They can help you to connect with your community group.. also- for students, university helps alot in connecting you with your community. Ask the student help center for more information in the uni you applied...

I am living on rented place. Hence, I don't carry much stuff with me. The things I need are nicely stored in the given space. The cupboard is enough to hold seasonal clothes, the space under bed is enough to hold kitchen and other things such as footwear. The remaining I let it be in the suitcase itself and only take out when needed.
I live in hayes in a 9 bedroom house with 30 indian families and my room is so small and they steal my food from the fridge freezer and I had to buy a fridge freezer and then I have to keep kitchen stuff in the room as the people in my house use my stuff and break my stuff and I cant even wash my clothes

Bt anyway I would suggest you to choose area where you can find your community people. This will make you feel safe and secure through so many reasons
Else talking about crime it's everywhere in london... Richmond upon thames is considered safest to live and has lowest crime rate but then it's also expensive as compared to others.

Ummm not really, may be at some places but I am not sure where...
Usually there are accomodation where 2 girls can share 1 room but there won't be any such as for only girls and also inside only girls would be living...
Over there mostly people live togather so it's not as in India where there is only girls hostel...

You have to get your own in mixed dorms type but you can choose to share it with only girl for single room...
