I think it’s good that Jonas is staying low key for the rest of 2024. He can concentrate on fully recovering from his crash and hopefully taste victory again before resuming his head to head rivalry with Pogacar and to a lesser extent with Evenepoel. It may not be what many fans want but Jonas needs to be completely recovered both physically and mentally from his crash before returning to head to head competition.
Polish fans are super happy, though. He will get a warm welcome at the start line 🥰
He is the best, my favorite GT rider. Haha, the Jonas fans crying on the couch - but we know his second child is due so we understand why he won't be at the Vuelta. Though earlier in the week he was listed for San Sebastian but is no longer.
I think the TdF mentally crushed him. He may not be the same rider ever again.

Punctured Lung, Broken Collar Bone, and other injury. He is still second in Tour De France 2024. To summarize, Mr. Jonas Vingegaard is simply one of a kind. Its obvious after the Tour they looked at everything and probably went for a more low key outro to the season then reboot next year after a good Winter re build.
What a wonderful time to experience! The era when Vingegaard and Pogačar were at their peak. They make each other better and trigger each other to great deeds.

Think top GC Guys shouldn't be trying to win everything. Maybe in a week race go for the win on one stage or help another team mate by riding on the front. Sitting at the back is a lot safer than fighting for position at the front. Pog has had some advantage this year so not sure Jonus can beat Pog until this this advantage comes to an end. Cycling is bent so see what happens. Jumbo was all conquering last year and now Pog can hardly lose so who knows what's going to happen next.
The guy doesn't have half the career Evenepoel has raced together at 24.
With the little prep he had and not fully recovered he will be the best
Why should he goes to WC?
He s not a rider for that,he is just a GC with a strong team.Its never be like Pogy,M.V.P. all rounder,its possible but not at the moment.Its like Armstrong,TdF contender with a strong team.
Armstrong won WC too and was doped btw

Who ever said he was interested in one day races ??? Jonas has made this known he does give a rat about one day races. All he is interested in are grand tours and the 7 days races which lead up to them. That’s it.

The Vuelta Will Be a Close Call, Vinge Will be Close to full fitness. Pogi maybe Burnt out after TDF but may also be Stronger Because of his dominance.

He'll probably do neither, but he'd be better off doing the Vuelta. In his quest to be Eddy Merckx, Tadej is going to be gunning for worlds and the monuments. Jonas could have won the Vuelta in 2023, but cycling fans revolted and thought Primoz and Jonas should bestow the honors on super domestique Sepp Kuss (as a cycling fan, I agreed).
It is well known that Trine and Jonas are expecting their 2nd child in September - and you should know it! It is out of the question that Jonas will ride La Vuelta - I don't know WHY you even mention it!
Jonas have actully sent a participation to join the worlds squad so there is actully a chance he Will join

He should not go to the Worlds. Or any other race this year. He should have only done La Vuelta this year.

No, Jonas is not the best GT rider. He used to be, but now it's Pogi without any doubt. Don't think Jonas would have won TdF 2024 if he's 100%. That's ridiculous. He even said after stage 15 that it was his best ever performance! And he still lost more than a minute. Pogi is much stronger now, he's out of this world.

2 TdF against 3 TdF and a Giro…that doesn’t add up mate
Pogacar has more points in GTs. Are you high? Pogacar has 3 Tour wins, 2 second places, and a Giro win. And then we count the stage win tallies for all 3 GTs. That's before we count any of the classics and Pogagar is up to 7 or 8 wins in the monuments (top 5 single day classics). He'll try to win Lombardia again this year. Jonas isn't even in the same league except when he has a strong team and Pogacar isn't racing his whole season around winning the TdF. It's not like Jonas has a better TdF record and Pogacar compensates for this lack with one day race wins. Come on, fanboy. Try to dial it down a bit. Jonas is the best GT rider among those that don't race all the classics. Lately. He has his work cut out before he even gets half of Froome's record.
@@indonesiaamerica7050 you missed the point. Of course Tadej has the most points but if think a couple of times, Jonas can't do classics or one day races. Tadej and Remco can. Which is why I said that Jonas is the best in terms of GT and MVDP in the Classics. Tadej and Remco are the 2 best All rounders who can do both.
I like this guy, but Pogi is more ebtertaining and I don't think he will be beaten again.
Pogi will not win the 2025 TDF. Jonas will be fully healthy again and do what he did last year and the year before. Don’t think for a second that Jonas was 100% at this years tour. It’ll be a great battle again though!

Pogi is Pogi. The problem with you people is that you also forget that Pogi had an injury last year. Pogi is now in form and has a strong team which he did not have the past two years.
@@kasavivernonmaseka5682 jonas didn’t have the strongest team this year at the tdf and his injury was significantly worse than pogi. They’ve both had problems, jonas’ were probably harder but they will hopefully both be at their peak next year
Tadej is more entertaining if you’re a child and you need constant stimulation
All this talk..bottom line is jonas is more intelligent at riding and is lighter.
Pog is heavier but stronger but less intelligent.
Over rall if pog plays it cool..he will win again
Jonas is the most boring cyclist, always following somebody's wheel, until somebody does the work for him then he launches. Without talented climbers he is a dud.... no excitement

he will never win a World title or a Classic. Vinegar is a one trick pony, and may never win another TDF with Pog reading Eddy's book!To be a GREAT, means you win Tours, Classics and TRACK races. To be a GREAT you must be a complete racer, Eddy was! Coppi raced and won on the track. So did Anquetil! Vinegar needs to be more than just a great climber. Jonas is very much in the Joop Zoetemelk mould!
