our pallets are different from those! my dad just chainsaws them down the middle of the little boards, both sides of the middle beam, then into smaller pieces and throws those into his fireplace. he just sweeps out the nails with the ashes 😉
my neighboor gets them 2 metre pallets and use them as fire wood he get them free from birkenstock id seen someone buils cattle shed them 2 metre ones id use for construction like sheds or a sauna or 2 wide doors at each end of your polytunnel
Maybe it's a sign of my advancing years, but I'm sure that pallets made 20 or 30 years ago were of much higher quality wood. Most of the pallets we get are broken before delivery, but we still get some use out of them for keeping our hay bales off the floor in the barn. That little bit of extra air circulation makes all the difference in preventing mold, and fires from composting hay. If I made a tool like this I'd probably be tempted to hitch up the trailer and go pallet hunting 👍👍

Many pallets these days are single use because we buy from the other side of the world...
Well damn...I wish I had that when I took my pallets apart!
