why do you need the amplifier? your getting delay because your going through 3 devices. could you not get a 3way splitter for 3.5mm and go straight in between the Azden , Bluetooth, and Camera???

Hey dustin. You can remove the amplifier but then no control over the volume. The main reason for amplifier is to volume control the headphones. Cheers for watching and ur comments man :)

I think the delay might come right from the HDMI to VGA converter, I'ver heard other people using just that also mention a delay. I'm trying to find a solution where I can monitor the microphone directly before it goes into the camera via small external preamp.

i think i talked about that in the video. you have to turn the cntrl by hdmi off in the settings. also i think if you leave it on photo mode and then shoot video it works better

I don't mean to be a jerk but for all that just buy the SONY ECM-W1M Bluetooth Wireless Microphone System $199 or less depending where you buy it at least for the SONY cameras

not at all mate - would appreciate you not putting ur amazon affiliate links here though! but thanks for pointing out. I am aware oof that product, but not only is it more expensive, it also cant be used on any camera (this system could bolt onto any Canon / Fuji / etc and work great). Also this system is not limited to using the top hot show, the mic can be mounted anyway (the top hotshoe is often taken up with a light or handle)
More importantly, the camera is usually in a cage such as small rig which I now use alot and so do many others which isnt possible using the hotshoe anymore.
Cheers for watching and your input. Happy shooting :)
