Massive thanks to all the green keepers everywhere 🙏 heroes comment below ⬇️⬇️⬇️
"Scarify" wasn't that a lyric from Bohemian Rhapsody?
As a groundsman that is a class video and I’ve even learnt a thing or to to improve my process of looking after sports turf.
👍
Remember last year on our course crane flies somehow managed to lay their eggs in holes on green , Rooks came along started eating the grubs created more holes . Maybe they didn’t sand correctly.

These guys are so important. Much respect. Pain in the bum when out playing...but we know what they are doing is so necessary and waiting for a few minutes until they are finished is not a hardship. Definitely heroes for us golfers.
Good to watch this contact Liam. We have just had a week of course management and the results are well worth it. Even managed to speak to our head Green keeper about it. Found his insight very useful. Great respect to all Green keeper's across the land
Great to hear pal
Lots of hard work and knowledge, just so we can play. Thank you to greenskeepers everywhere. You are greatly appreciated. Thank you for this Liam.
Glad enjoyed
No other golf channel does this kind of content…. it’s great to see all the hard work that goes into course maintenance! Makes it all the more infuriating when people don’t repair pitch marks when you know the effort that went in behind the scenes. Massive respect to the greens keepers and keep up then great work Liam & co.
Great vid always love these type we as golfers need to appreciate and understand what it takes for us to play on the course keep it up Liam
Cheers Chris agree pal
I played one of my local courses 9 days ago and when I got home after a moaned for hours on how the greens were.
I played 2 days ago and they were awesome 👌🏻 it’s definitely a job us golfers hate being done but so much happier after.
Great video Liam and a big thanks to all our green keepers
👍
Fantastic video. Big appreciation to all course management staff 👏

Thanks Liam, it is very interesting on what it takes to maintain a golf course and I think we will look at these times of the year differently because of these videos. Keep them coming.
👍
This is such a good video! Always wondered about the process and it’s great to hear it explained in a really well put together video. Nice job! So grateful for the team at Chorlton, they’re doing fab work. Excited for 2022 season!
Great video Liam, I really enjoyed seeing the step by step process. Hats off the the crews!!!
Great to see you giving the green staff some love. They do an amazing job keeping golf courses up to scratch for us to play on.
Agree with you sir
Liam it’s always nice to see what the greens keepers have to do to keep us golfers happy and putting well. This was done at the courses where I play last week. It was awesome to watch it being done. Another awesome video Golf Mates 👍👍🏌️⛳️🇨🇦
Cheers Jack pal
Great Video and explanation, big thanks to our green keepers at Barnard Castle they have been keeping the course in great condition.
Really good idea for a video... you guys cover every aspect of golf and the course... Great job...
👍
The Green Staff did the greens at my golf club a couple of weeks ago. Really fascinating to watch them working. The greens are fantastic. Great Work.
Cheers Liam, I took on the role of green staff this year because of watching last year's video you posted. I know people will watch this and probably turn off because they think it's irrelevant but I can only hope they do watch to see the bloody hard work that goes on before someone hits a golf ball. I'm certainly thankful you have taken your time to interact with your greenstaff in a very positive manner. Thanks and continue to promote our labours.
Good work Andy
Great to see not only the high quality work the team do but also their obvious enthusiasm and pride in doing a good job - nice video Liam 👍🏌️⛳️
Top lads
Liam great video. Absolutely needs to be done. Video was very informative and educational
Cheers jeff
A fascinating insight to the work of the greekeeper. Thanks
Golfers nightmare? Perhaps but boy do we appreciate all their hard work when a long putt goes in! Thanks to all greenkeepers and staff for all you do.
Needs to be done!! Nice video on what thet have to do to keep up the greens.
Keep this up Liam, great credit to those who work hard to give us a wonderful golf experience day in and day out. I hope you continue to feature the operational side of golf courses, as well I know many have volunteers who step up as well to assist. 👍👍👍
Cheers pal
Great video. Love these as a golfer always good to learn what goes into providing us a place to play!
Cheers Gordon
Fantastic video. Hopefully all of us golfers will now understand a bit more why this is a necessity. Hoping this was done a few weeks back and I’ll reap the rewards when I tee off up there on Thursday
I played pike hilks near York last Thursday and they had just comepleted this process on the greens. Now I fully understand why and have a greater appriciation for the greens staff. Great content
👍
Class video Liam (as always)......great to see a view of the greenkeeping work that we sometimes take for granted. Greenkeepers around the world do a fantastic job keeping courses in tiptop condition for us to enjoy! Hats off to the lads!
Cheers pal
Brilliant insight into greenkeeping. Cracking job👌
Cheers drew
Really enjoyed this, thank you Liam.
Adds a nice alternative content to the channel.
We all play on the courses but I don’t think we give enough thought to the work that goes on to give us a an opportunity to play on such lovely greens.
👍
Really in joyed this Liam great video to see the other side well done to the green keepers never Sean it before all good stuff
Cheers John
The unsung heroes who do an incredible job to make our golfing experience a pleasure. Take a bow.
Brilliant work by the green keeping team it’s not until someone makes a video like this that people understand what goes into the work on the greens to make them as good as can be and hopefully members appreciate what into the greens and respect it
Absolutely couldn't agree more
Great video. Makes me appreciate more what actually goes on with the course!
Lot more then I thought 👍
Really like that , never realised how much goes into maintaining a green.
Great video Liam, as someone who has worked on cricket grounds its good to see some of the skills used in renovations transfer between the sports.
Love these videos. Played all my life and until Liam set up these informational vlogs I wouldn't have had a clue. Excellent.
👍
Great to see behind the scenes of what happens as my course has done this to the greens this week.
Absolutely
Great video today Liam. Very informative.
👍
Unseen and often overlooked heroes of every golf course. Respect👍
Thanks for the vlog Liam. They do a great job, what a course would love to play there 👍
Cheers David
Great video greens look amazing 👍our green keepers did this two weeks ago and our greens are amazing this week they do a great job 👏 👏👏
Totally agree
Great video, helps us all understand the hard work and knowledge that goes into green keeping. Can be annoying when having to play on it, but greens would become a whole lot worse quickly if this work is not carried out.
Great video Liam nice to see what goes on
👍
Excellent video, very interesting.
Good video. Thanks to all greenkeepers across the UK and abroad for their work so we can enjoy our game.
Absolutely right 👍
Mo salad
Always love to see the "behind the scenes" stuff. Top notch Liam.
Cheers pal
Very interesting......I call myself a pro at my home lawn but the intricate work here, planning and execution is marvelous! Another great video Liam you seem to be able to spin us such a great variety of content that keeps us waiting and wanting for the next one! Thank you ...your vids are a bright spot in my day sir!
Thanks so much
Definitely needs to be done to ensure a healthy green. My home course follows the same process and I'm glad they take the time and labor of love to enhance our golfing experience. Thanks for sharing this "behind the greens" experience 🤣
Useful and very much needed! Thanks to our green keepers.
Liam 10 of us are down Manchester next weekend, we have Chorlton booked Sun 26th Sep late morning, yourself and omp are more than welcome to jump on and take us to 3x 4 balls.
Thank you but will be with family 👍
I think a big thumbs up to all the green keepers up and down the country that make the courses as good as they are too play. 👍
Great video Liam, puts a different perspective on the side of golf not many people get to see.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Totally agree
Wow the work these folks do Great to see.
Very well demonstrated. Thanks.
Thanks Bob
Great video, like all golfers I don’t like top dressing but it’s necessary for great greens. The result is the beautiful greens you will be playing on next spring when the new season kicks off. I must say your greens look impressive. Well done to the green keepers team, very impressive work.
Agree 👍
Very informative and what a great result. I appreciate the grounds people even more now.
👍
Great video into the insight of the work that goes into the greens. Top job. ⛳️🏌️
👍 Cheers
Always appreciate this work as it gives me up to TWO WEEKS of excuses for my putting.
Superb - worth a few weeks with substandard greens to have perfect greens for the rest of the year!
Wow, what great insight to green keeping.
Glad enjoyed
Great, informative video....and might I add what a good looking chap the new head greenkeeper is. I particularly love his hair ☺️
Alot of hard work behind the scenes to make those greens look top notch, hope the members and guests can take the time to appreciate it
Absolutely
Absolutely needs to be done. We all owe a debt of gratitude to the ground staff. Without their hard work we wouldn’t be able to play! It may mean that it is a little disruptive to our play sometimes but this video explains to us all why it is so essential.
I've been watching your videos since you started. I have to say that Ian has the course the best I've seen. Congrats!
Will take some time but much improved
👏👏👏
Really interesting video, like everybody else I would curse it but understand it needed doing. I now appreciate the hard work the ground staff have to do and you will never hear me grumble about it again. Great idea to do a video of the process 😁.
😂👍
Thats an incredible amount of work that goes into it , never knew any of that went on. Very Interesting watch.
Never realised
Great stuff, always good to see what the green keeps do, helps us golfers understand there Job and hopefully makes us appreciate the work that goes into it . Can't wait to get back up to Chorlton for a round.🏌♂️👍😁
Cheers paul
Good job Lads keeping those greens beautiful.
Absolutely
Really enjoyed this video. A great behind the scenes look at all of the processes and hard work that goes into making these courses so beautiful. Most golfers don't think about this hard work and just see an aerated green and get frustrated. Maybe they'll sing a different tune after seeing this.
Cheers Jason
Essential part of any golf course. Great team you’ve got, thumbs up 👍🏻
Absolutely
Love the course maintenance stuff 👍
😂👍
Great video 👍 very interesting ⛳
Really interesting video. Didn’t realise how much work this process entails.
👍
Fantastic video! Always wondered why they do this.
So did I 😂👍
Well appreciated by all thanks you Green keepers everywhere 👍👍
Nice one
Very insightful. Very jealous of your greenkeeper(s). Wish my course had ones as good!
Excellent video.
Great video! So being from the states more specifically New England (Massachusetts) the courses I play use the large core machines and it is definitely frustrating to putt on for at least 2 weeks but it’s obviously necessary.
👍
It's all a part of keeping a golf course not only looking beautiful, but also course healthy! There's a lot of work that goes on to keep a course playable, so thank the staff when you see them on the course! When my golfmates and myself saw them on the course, we would have the girls who drove the refreshment buggy around take them some Gatorade and a snack! It didn't cost us much and it was our way of showing that we appreciated all of their hard work!
Absolutely
Every moaning golfer in the land should watch this film, they would then have a better understanding of what it takes to keep good greens. Great film Liam
Didn’t realise how much work that goes into that operation, a big hand to all green keepers and may I take this opportunity too thank Golf Mates for the excellent cap 🧢 I purchased and just received Top Quality 👍
Nor us 👍 glad like cap
Great video big respect 2 the ground keeper ⛳⛳⛳
Credit to the team.Liam, I used to work on the ground staff at a cricket club, different sport but you still need to look after your product, for us the cricket square for these guys the greens. I always appreciate what these guys do and yes the greens may be a but bumpy for a week or two but you need.to.di.ut to keep your greens healthy 👍🏌️
Needs to be done and a very interesting video, nice to see how greens are kept in tip top condition.
Glad enjoyed
great to see the work involved keeping our greens perfect. thank you the green keepers at my course Pumpherston in livingston Scotland.
GOLFERS REMEMBER THE WORK INVOLVED SO REPAIR THAT PITCH MARK AND THOSE FAIRWAY DIVOTS !!!!
Very true
Great job guys "Absolutely necessary"
Just shows how much hard work goes into making the course playable for us to enjoy when we tee off & then we get on a green to find someone has not repaired a pitch mark!!! It takes a few seconds please help out the green keeping team 🙏 because they are out there for our pleasure and enjoyment 😉
It does so true
Great video 👍
Good insight very interesting
Cheers Neil
Definitely needs to be done. Unfortunately us golfers are a fickle bunch and want to play on pristine greens all year round. These types of videos give a great insight into why it needs to be done and the time and graft it takes.
Still won’t appease everyone, but I for one am grateful for it.
I can also use it as another excuse for my piss poor putting.
Keep up the great work.
We are
Great job lads 👏👏👏
👍
A great video I love seeing what these guys and girls do to allow us to play golf. Great work👍👍🏌️♂️⛳️
Totally agree
Myself, like most Golfers, hate the sight of the Cores and trying to Putt through them. But, having seen the reasons for them, I have a new appreciation for Green keepers. This guy Ian, didn't even leave any evidence. Top job I think and Chorlton are lucky to have him.
Think we've all had a moan at some point
Fascinating explanation
Thanks John
Interesting to see and hear about aspects that we as golfers mainly take for granted
We all do
Good green staff are an invaluable part of presenting a good golf course and looks like your members have cracking team looking after your club
Well done lads
Great video learnt a lot
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
They are great team
i received an education today ... thnaks to all the green keepers out there .. the game wouldn't be as fun without them
Glad enjoyed
Nice to see what goes on.
Does the work all get done in one go or is it done 9 holes at a time - is the course closed while it is being done (or open for the 9 holes not being done)? I’ve paid to play courses which are partly done and it was a nightmare.
Absolutely
