Patti Guevara I use to think the same thing about this song, but now i think it's a conversation between these two women who have come to the realization that they love a liar. They both love him, but they are trying to reconcile their hearts with their logic. If he is okay with lying to one, or even both, then does he tell the truth when he says he loves them? They're not mad at each other, they are trying to work through a very confusing and hurtful situation.

I've often wondered that too. She did the demo for the song and that's why Reba chose her for the duet. I will say this, we got the next best thing with Linda's daughter, Hillary Scott. Now that girl has some talent. She auditioned for American Idol and didn't make it very far at all. Now she's one third of one of the most popular country music groups.
I can only say Reba is next to Dolly.Linda will probably have her day .

I read somewhere years ago, that originally they didn't have that piece at the end telling us that it was all a video shoot and none of it was actually real... which is the total opposite of what they're usually going for in a music video.. ESPECIALLY in Reba's because the video's usually paint u the story to see as you listen.. **side note** I MUST SAY that Reba has so many of the BEST music videos I've ever seen as they literally feel like you're watching an actual movie or short film!! Back to this particular video... When Reba watched the finished/almost finished full video, she really felt some type of way about her character blowing them up like that, because she didn't want people to see it and think she could ever get so mad or hurt that she'd even think about that kind of thing! Or think that she could ever even WISH she could or want to cause harm for revenge even if she'd never actually go thru with it! So she came up the idea at the end to sorta lighten it up and make no mistake that it was just a silly type of thing making a video instead of ending it that way and almost condoning that type of thing... I REALLY LOVED hearing that!! I dont even know if that's what really happened or NOT, but i can see it fitting the REAL Reba's character and personality! In my opinion she's just wonderful and crazy talented!! 🤩

Reba said she blames herself for the divorce because she didn't keep her skin tight. Her now ex would call her the old bag because she was getting wrinkles. To tell the truth I don't think it had anything to do with the wrinkles. Because if you love someone you love everything about them. He just wanted a younger model. I think it will come back to bite him in the ass. He has made so much money off of Reba and now he feels like he doesn't need her anymore. I hope she fires him as her manager and get someone that will make sure she gets all she wants from her career. we do not know everything - I knew someone who dealt with Reba for a charity event and they stated she was very difficult -- to the point they actually hired another performer and that was Kevin Costner and it was a really cool event and KC was very nice and humble...
Reba was and is a super, super star. Her ex-probably would be a big nobody without her. Some men's ego cause them to walk all over some one superior to them on every level, to make them feel better about themselves. Reba's not angry at him because she realizes he's just acted like a big, immature, two faced jerk.
Everytime I read comments about a female singer/actor, like Reba, or Barbra Streisand, for example, there's always someone saying something like "I know someone who knows someone who worked with someone that knows her and apparently she's very difficult to work with, and blah blah blah". Aren't all artists difficult to work with? Their job is to create great things that other people are gonna like! Being an artist of that caliber is not something easy. They can't always please everybody and let them do whatever they want otherwise they'd never become superstars. I think most of the time, those stories come from the perspective of someone who felt frustrated or jealous because he/she didn't have control over a situation in regards to the star in question or didn't get all the attention he/she wanted. I personally don't care how difficult they are; when you're that good and hard working you deserve the attention.
I love Reba she is one fine looking lady. I hope she is happy now and enjoys life. She will always be #1 in my books. She did almost give me heart failure tho when she wore that red dress. Oh my lord Jesus lol
Funny / sad thing is is when a woman strives to succeed and has to make herself be heard - she is labeled "difficult" or worse, a bitch. But a guy does about the same thing and either he's a great guy. The only time a guy is known to be difficult is if he does something atrocious or is actually difficult to work with.
I still remember the first time I watched this video when it originally came out. My jaw nearly bounced on the floor at the explosion! This is still one of my favorites and probably always will be. Back in the 80s and 90s, we went to pretty near every concert that came to Baton Rouge, the home of my birth. We saw Ms. Reba three times! That was before concert tickets became as expensive as if made of gold or platinum rather than paper. smh

Fun Facts: Reba had a growth that was removed from her forehead right before filming this video. That's why something is constantly covering a part of her forehead. Also, Reba was filming a movie, "North" in 1993, and the ending of this video coincided with the last day of filming for that movie as well. Which is why Rob Reiner is at the end, on the movie set, yelling, "CUT!" The outfit worn in the end of this video is also an outfit she wore in the movie.
