Great video and dynamic. Imagine if Mark and Yuri did one together lol. Marks getting super technical about the stereo and Yuri interupts about satellite radio rewinding
I think a huge problem isn't just the fact that it's an automatic, but its an ONLY automatic at the price-point. If I'm paying 60k+ for one of these, I want it to be what I preferred, which is the manual. The NISMO is a good compromise at around $50k, but even still I wouldn't be sold because at $50k you could literally get the Manual non-Nismo. Its extremely odd how they bench-marked this car when virtually all other competitors offer a manual.
I mean the supra is around 60k and has worse suspension compared and when they compared the supra to the M2 they said the supra has a lot more feedback so I'm not sure you would've ever gotten what you wanted out of this car. It's also around the same price of the dark horse:/ while yes we know Nissan could do better it does stack well against the competition

The new Z has been such a wet fart of a release, both in terms of general rollout and availability, and with product decisions like this. I think I’ve seen one in the wild, and I won’t be surprised if they barely sell any at all before Nissan finally goes belly up.
I have yet to see a new Z in the wild. Not sure why that is, because it is certainly a very stylish design with a ton of tribute details from previous Z cars. I don't know if it's supply chain issues, or if they've simply priced the car above what the intended fan base can tolerate. At any rate, this Nismo variant is priced right in line with the Supra, which has the magnificent B58 and a proper transmission.
I have no doubt that Nissan will sell every single z nismo. The Z’s problem isn’t that it doesn’t sell, it’s that Nissan doesn’t make enough of them (kinda like most enthusiast cars nowadays)
I've seen like 4 (and one of them might've been the same car twice) and it seems like the only good thing Nissan has going for the new Z is the design and engine.

You can use the camaro for a lot of arguments in the coupe performance sector of cars
@@elisalsa24 yeah, the price of the Nismo is going to $85k or higher for the foreseeable future. Those were supposed to MSRP for $41k, but there isn’t a dealer around that will sell the base model so we can mod it. I can get a Supra MT A91 used for $69K right now, so it’s not really a going to be something where I would wait for the Z. I can get a ZL1 for the $70-80k new. That Nismo is going to be a unicorn with a cheap interior and expensive, so it’s still not value for money. New or used. The Supra handles well enough and a Camaro ZL1 would thrash them both. The amount of work that goes into your production is outstanding. Your a gem in the community
Y’all just keep dropping 🔥
Epic cinematography...thank you Preparation H and Walmart.
Mark getting one last meme in during the final thoughts with that windhsield wiper fluid discharge 😂.
The exchange from 10:50 to 11:07 had me and wife cracking up. Excellent video as always, great collab with the straightpipes
Stunt Coordinator: Carlos Ghosn 💀💀
nice
I died laughing!
Man you guys are absolutely pumping out content! Unbelievable at your guys' high quality standards.
My most controversial opinion is if automatic sportscars keep sportscars alive through sales, i’d rather drive an auto Z than a electric SUV.
thats not controversial
That’s fair but than again look at how many manual 911’s Porsche is offering 😭
Have you actually sat in an ev? I hated em until a tesla sepersted my body feom my soul......speed alone on ev!!!! Is phenomenal

The trade offs with The Straight Pipes is brilliant and refreshing!
Kudos to both camps!
Looks like a promising car, great review Jack & Mark Trudeau!
Will be interesting to see how it stacks up against the mighty B58 Supra
Real talk, the camera work and color grading is great in this video. All the colors are nice and vibrant.
?? Usually more expensive cars go auto only. Look at bmw, porsche, etc
@@ciello___8307 the two companies you just named make manuals. The 911 S/T is $290K and a manual
I thoroughly enjoyed the humor and collab 😂
Hard to consider this when the base m2 is 2500 less

The into to this is the best thing on Yotube currently. Your neve getting another Nissan again. Well done!
Jakub & Jack on the Nismo Z
Yuri & Mark on the Murano Crosscabriolet???
ok this one made me laugh until I started coughing
Yes. Seconded.
LOL. Actually laughed out loud more than once. Fun/great collab!
Good Morning Everyone. Happy Monday 😊👍
As a future 4th owner of this car, BOO. No clutch kicking, BOO. No launching at 4k, BOO. No Rev match downshifting through my subdivision.
No snick snick. Boo.
And let it be said, no one has trouble with their 350/370z holding 800-1000 hp because of the transmission. CD009 and JK41 are loved because they're solid, widely available transmissions.
15:18 "It's not a Stevie T". Did I hear this right, Jack?
Great way to start the day! Savage Geese and Straight Pipes collab!
There is no choice between this and the supra. 100% picking the supra. Better transmission, better engine, better looking better tuning.
Love the collaboration. Great job
"Because I don't have free health care I have freedom"...the freedom not to buy a new Z, as Nissan is finding out .
The banter in this video is amazing
That's Crazy! Ethnic Yuri is all over the place this morning!!!
(Thanks again, Jack!)
That b58 aside was absolutely wonderful
The new Mark is a much needed upgrade.
That intro sounded like Jacob and Jack are going to fight the Decepticons.
Michael Bay would be so proud of that intro
I needed to show jakub michael bays america
@@jackholmes8105 What do you think we get via Canadian broadcasting Jack, Canadian movies???? 5 to 50 year old movies from 'Murica are on all. the. time. 😂
I would like to thank Preparation H for bringing us this gold
Something tells me that they’re gonna pull a Supra and release a manual variant the following year. Then the dealers are gonna mark those versions up to the point where you could probably get a darn Emira/Evora 😂
That opening scene with audio is beautiful on headphones, sound of the car wow
Which generation of Jack B58 Influencer are we up to now? He must have inconel valve stems after all this iteration
also, hi Jakub!
B58 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Yoooo best car youtube colab on this moment alone
2002 Ford Thunderbird rollout vibes.....
I've seen like 4 (and one of them might've been the same car twice) and it seems like the only good thing Nissan has going for the new Z is the design and engine.
@@dougrobinson8602 I don’t think Nissan can afford to make them…
So awesome to see jakob as mark :D this is gerat. This is the cross-over I didn't know I needed! Love the straight pipes, too!
Ready to waltz into my local Nissan dealer to order those Nismo Recaros. 🤣
I'm glad you got a chance to drive some of the roads up in Northern California. I used to live in Santa Rosa and I miss the twisties up there. Sonoma/Sear Point/ Infineon was like a second home to me.
I couldn't make out the roads they were driving, with hills and eucalyptus. I was expecting Mt Tam or Napa...
@@r2dad282 Marin and Sonoma counties both have some awesome driving roads. I remember Lakeville Highway being lined with eucalyptus trees back in the day, but it's not as winding and is usually packed with cars.
Great video guys! I must say though, it's taken Nissan this long to make a competitive car and even with all the changes they still just made an OK car, really shows how well Toyota/BMW did with the Supra.
I didn't even watch the video yet and I had to get it. A thumbs up just for the intro
Fantastic video as always! This car is DOA for me due to the auto but i'm glad to hear it fixes some of the "regular" Z's deficiencies.
Great collaboration! It’s not easy integrating two different styles of car reviews. Or for that matter anything the first time. Awesome seeing you all working together and hopefully there will be more opportunities!
You don't have to write tragedy in the title when you add "automatic" and Nismo 😁
I started watching the geese and wound up in Canada...Good day eh...? Stright Pipes and Savagegeese together a nice way to start the day...
For 65k this is probably the worst deal in the performance market right now
How much do you think the supra costs?
@@elisalsa24 I dunno. 40oz and a hand job?
@@elisalsa24 cost and value make the Z a bad deal. The Supra at least has value to match the cost. A warmed over 370z is not worth $65k. I can get a Camaro SS 1LE that would embarrass the Z in every way for less.
@@AmericanDuck well again thats something that you as the buyer would have to decide over, like a couple years ago you were able to get a Camaro ZL1 for around 65k and now its impossible with the markups. For me I value handling over many things and the Z handles better than the supra and if it was a manual and did cost the same as the supra premium I would buy, but the camaro ss 1le is also cheaper than the supra and is around performance but with way better handling feel so you could say the same about the supra being a bad buy compared to the camaro. You can use the camaro for a lot of arguments in the coupe performance sector of cars
@@elisalsa24 yeah, the price of the Nismo is going to $85k or higher for the foreseeable future. I see regular performance package Zs for $58k for sale and anything with a performance package and dealer added accessories for the $60k+. I see used ones from private party for over 70K. The Supra interior is much better for a taller driver like myself. I have a Miata for doing canyons. The Supra would be more of a daily.
