They took Nahira's kindness as naïve and stupidity and Scara's harshness as a fitness for God... Didn't they rate the scarlet king as harsh and therefore a tyrant? Quite ironic huh.
Plus, I have a feeling that what the Akademiya did when they first discovered Nahida has stunted/stalled her growth as an archon the entire time. the kids little doll in Scaramouche's cutscene is him and it makes me so sad 😭😭😭 Also the thing with him burning the kids house down, dolls are sometimes seen as a good luck charm then given to children in order to protect them from misfortune. The problems are then thought to be transferred to the doll instead of the child, the dolls are assumed to develop a consciousness and seen as spiritual so people treated them well so it wouldn't come back and haunt them. After someone had said prayers and goodbyes to it they would throw it away but a more traditional way to get rid of it was burning it. Scaramouche did that as a way to say goodbye to the doll but also to the boy. (He is a doll himself so he may have had some personal feelings involving that during it as well)
Also I'm confused by the Katsuragi part, he might not be remembering it right because Nagamasa was the one who thought he was an abomination and Katsuragi was his friend, but he's implying that Katsuragi thought of him the way Nagamasa did.
The moment Nahida said “nor can I abandon the people of Sumeru” that was the moment where she became a true archon for me, because it just goes to prove that even if she’s not loved by her people, she is willing to literally put herself in danger and expose herself in front of a harbinger, just to protect them
I love how act 3 and 4 subtly improve sumeru characters impressions of Nahida, creating new faith in her and giving them an alternative to the academia's tyranny.
I'm scared for Tighnari in this quest. The akademeya seems desperate to have Tighnari in Sumeru city. We know they were harvesting wisdom via dreams and they are trying to heal irminsul tree. Tighnari has vast knowledge with plants. While irminsul is not a tree by a biological sense, Tighnari could contribute a lot with his wealth of knowledge alone. I thought for a second that they kidnapped Tighnari when we went to his village and he wasn't there 😭
I’m glad they are finally giving aether and lumine different choreography in cutscenes. Aether kicks that guy away where as lumine drop kicks and jumps off him into the air haha
The fact Traveler will live for thousands of years really makes me wonder what they are and how long they've lived so far. I really look forward to when we'll finally get some backstory for them.
Well, the Traveler we played as went into a 500 year slumber at the start. It can also be assumed that the twin witnessed the tragedy of Kan’rieha all those years ago.
@@user-Robin151 that's obvious, but they were forced to sleep by a god, it wouldn't be weird if that put them in stasis for 500 years. Theoretically even a normal person would survive that way. But now we know they can live long without that.
I was really suprised that Dottore is number 2 i expected him to be like number 4 since most of the speculations was saying that capitano is number 2 and i was following this idea since the way capitano adressed dottore in fatui trailer sounded like he demanded answer and you surely cant demant answer from someone higher than you in fatui since probably every stronger than you can just kill you
while I don't think dottore is physically stronger than capitano, dottore has a lot of tricks up his sleeves and aren't there like 20 dottores around the world or smth
@@davidskep Well his clones are all himselves at different stages of his life, and the fact that he's been living for a long time, wouldn't be surprised if there's hundreds of clones or 'Prostheses' as what Dottore calls them
@@davidskep But I mean, they do say that the Harbingers are ranked on strength. Plus, I believe I found something that explains why Dottore is supposedly so strong despite not having a Vision (and maybe not wielding a Delusion?)... There are some documents you can find through exploration of the old hospital. Once you pick up the key and unlock the drawer on the ground floor of the hospital, you get to read two of the documents that were locked inside. Annoyingly, you can only read them once for some reason. But on both these documents and the records in the hospital basement, one of the doctors' names is always marked out. I believe that's Dottore. To summarize the locked-up documents, they're medical records for Abbas, an Eleazar patient who later escaped underground. At first, he was being treated by a doctor named Amoudi and eventually fell into a coma when his Eleazar worsened. But for some reason, they switched to him being treated by the doctor whose name is always marked out (again, likely Dottore) and he woke up and started getting better. The second document has a lot of text missing from age, but it becomes clear that the unknown doctor was running unethical experiments on the patients. At the end of the second document, he wrote about how he studied the excess elemental energy in the patients and believes that if he can weaponize this knowledge, he will become so powerful that he will be what people call a "god".
@Kokopium I dunno, it has been a confusing mess for a long time, but what I do know is that Childe's voice over about Damselette says "The Fatui Harbingers are ranked by strength, and I have no idea why that girl is number 3. I'd test my skills with every Harbinger who ranks above me if I had the chance, but when it comes to her... something just doesn't feel right. Anyway, you should be careful around her." So funny enough, the highest rank that Capitano can be is rank 4, as far as we know right now, since Pierro is 1, Dottore is 2, and Damselette is 3.
We also don't know if Pierro is even ranked among them. He is the director of the Fatui (pretty interesting if you think about it in a theatrical sense. "It's time to end tonight's spectacle, right now you have no captive audience...") which means Capitano could still be rank 1.
Also this might be my favorite archon quest chapter overall for now, it felt so alive. So mamy cutscenes and the voiceacting was awesome, when you compare the animations to the one’s back in mondtstat archon quest you can really see the huge development. And the emotions were definetly there, especially for scara and setaria (for an npc)
The real reason why Nahida is facing off against Il Dottore, the Number Two of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, is because _Number Two_ is another way to say _dook-dook_
Its so interesting the Scara and Ei has the same ideals about wiping out emotions. Ei is trying to establish stasis so that no one will ever chase their ambitions and feel devastated at the end if it failed and Scara tries to wipe out human emotions so that no one will feel anything just like what he felt. Also Candace is the village mommy. Everyone's jsut kneeling. Also also, its also interesting that Cyno was featured during the travail trailer. Dainslief said that "the enemy of wisdom is wisdom itself". Its so fitting for Cyno because he's part of the Akademia but at the same time he finds the Akademia bad.
Wishing you a quick recovery 😊 thank you for your videos, you're my absolute favourite gaming-youtuber. Make me laugh every time and I always look forward to your next upload!
Am I the only one who immediately knew what Nabiya was referring to about the travelers love life when she was shocked how many people loved the traveler. I immediately thought the the 3.1 trailer scene where Dittore brainwashed the people to falling in love with the traveler. I was like holy shit! She can actually tell the future!
I literally just came up with a theory for how making Scaramouche a god will cure the Irminsul. This contains a bit of spoilers for act 4 of the archon quest so if you haven’t finished act 4 of then please don’t read or proceed with caution. So in the Rukkadevata/King Deshret cutscene at the end of act 4 we learn that King Deshret brought “Knowledge that did not belong in this world” and this “Forbidden knowledge” caused a plague to break out, that plague being Eleazar. We already know that Eleazar is “The manifestation of the Withering on the human body” and the Withering is connected to the Ley Lines and the Irminsul. Therefore, this “Forbidden knowledge” is what is corrupting the Irminsul and causing both the Withering and Eleazar. So, I’m thinking that the sages are taking the Village Keepers who went mad with divine knowledge, the Divine Knowledge capsule and any other kind of forbidden divine knowledge to put into this new god version of Scaramouche so that it is no longer infecting the Irminsul. If my theory is at all true then I’m a bit worried about Scaramouche. He says he wants to scrub away all trace of human emotion but, at least to me, he seems like he just doesn’t want to lose anyone he cares for so he acts like he doesn’t care. And if he’s trying so hard to not feel emotions and takes in all this forbidden knowledge it might just make him crazy as well. He may be a little gremlin but I do sympathize with him and I hope that he comes to his senses at some point. Also I want a playable Scaramouche lol 😭
Ah yes, Gaslight Impact, my favorite game. If only Setaria was innocent, i would have felt bad for her. Too bad she badmouthed Nilou and enabled the samsara which almost killed Dunyarzad.
The thing that I got a little bit triggered and amused is that I met two npc named Makan, and Minum. I know it'll probably mean differently in other languages, but in Malay, Makan literally means 'eat', and Minum is 'drink' 😂😂😂 Also, Setaria freaking out gives me the Being X vibes from Tanya the Evil
Bruh the names made me cackle as an Indonesian I can't take some of these names seriously as a result even if it's not meant to be that way 😂 there's also Berat which means weight or heavy depending on context + several othersl NPCS that fall into this too hahaha
"I wanna go back to Mondstadt." Ain't that the truth lmao. When things were so much simpler and we will literally run away from the eye of the storm lmao.
I just realized that Nahida's dream might be her remembering her time as Rukkhadevata with modern people replacing old people that she might have known.
It’s funny how Nahida is like it’s too risky and irresponsible to posses a student. And then in the next minute like these random people in the city tho I’ll posses them all
I think its cause, like Nahida said, a student going around the Akademiya and sneakily trying to learn more about the secret project would immediately get caught and their lives would be ruined after Nahida relinqueshed control. However, the people in the city arent directly involved with the akademiya, their lives wouldnt be changed after being possessed. whats more their goal was to convince Setaria, who was already having doubts about the akademiya, so it was a safer route overall
@@kaylakaterinazosa3729 that's a good point, I still think it's wrong of her regardless of any consequences and it still could have caused the normal people problems like their reputation being ruined or something. Mainly I'm just annoyed that at the end of the archon quest part 2 nahida is like don't worry I wouldn't do this to any of my people just Katheryne because she's a puppet and then in part 3 she controls multiple people without hesitation and we find out she's been controlling people in the desert for ages. @@nikolaes108 She doesnt do it without hesitation, though. Nahida had to think long and hard about the solutions to fighting the Akademiya. Also the people she "controls" in the desert are the Village keepers/mad scholars, and she does it when they or others around them are in danger, like during earthquakes. Anemo: May the wind guide your journey Dendro: May the spirit of wisdom go with you Geo: uhhhh May you have enough Mora? Electro: ehhhh May you don't get struck by lighting?
Personal theory, that is probably the reason for his line, “My experiment was a success.” Which means this entire “adoration” thing is for him to use again once the process turning Scara into a “new God” is complete. So that he can freely manipulate all the Sumeru citizens’ Akasha terminal and make them worship God Scara. ONLY if Scara did turn into a god ofc. Again it is a personal theory.
1:02:57 an interesting note: not sure abt the Chinese version, but in the JP the "your" in "Your era" is plural. I wonder whether he's referring to humans, Gods, or both?
Spoilers ahead but I love how after watching this video and realized I missed so many things when I first did this archon quest. The whole "admiration" thing that Dottore did on the people was because he wants to do it on all the people of Sumeru once the Scaramouche "god" is ready, so they can all like him and see him as a God. Makes sense why Haypasia acted the way she did and why she seemed so fanatic about Scaramouche. I'm sure Dottore did something to her. Besides that, I was confused about the whole thing with Katheryne where she gets stabbed because where exactly was Nahida's body when this happened? So I have a theory which I guess clears up some things: as we saw, when the traveler possessed someone their body didn't disappear, it was instead left unconscious but it was still very much existing in the real world. So my guess is, before Nahida possessed Katheryne, her body was left unconscious in the Sanctuary. She knew that people wouldn't see her anyways. After the encounter with Dottore, he realized that she is actually more powerful than the sages think. He quickly realized what her power was. So he asked them about her and he found out she normally rests in the Sanctuary, which was basically a very very easy way for him to capture her body. They put her in the big dendro spherical cell that we see in the quest, before we see the scaramouche god form. When Katheryne gets stabbed, Nahida probably realized what happened. She might have realized before this even, so instead of going back to her own body, her mind swapped with the traveler's so she could send them a message about this. Then, Nahida swapped back and now she's trapped in the Sanctuary of Surasthana in her own body. And like she said, she's no longer able to jump into someone else's body, meaning the cell she's in probably has some sort of way to rid her of her archon powers. My guess is also that they will absorb all her powers and put them into the Scaramouche god. Probably so they could control the minds of all people all at once, once they gather together to celebrate the "birth" of their new God. (since they will be under the effect of the "admiration" thing Dottore is working on) It would be interesting because the whole concept of being "a bird stuck in a cage" that we see surrounding Nahida would make more sense, since she's able to "fly" from person to person normally, but now she can't do it anymore.
Ok about scara backstory. On the third time, HOW is it the kid's fault he died?!? He can't help it,it was his time. Also, no matter how messed up your past was it's NO EXCUSE to screw up Teppei and Kazuha's clan
Yeah, Dottore being the 2nd Harbinger came as quite the shock, seriously. I came in thinking it's time to face Jerk #1 for the first time, then my confidence is completely shaken the moment I read "second." I thought he was like #4 or something. Maybe the problem was that the Traveler didn't take him down before his theme came on.
Did ya know Kazuha ancestor is Scaramouche friend. Cause look at the damn hair same red. I wonder what would happen if Kazuha and scaramouche meet one day.
About the omega build, in Childe's voiceline about Dottore + the Lazzo trailer, it's implied he's made robotic clones of himself. This is just the omega technology, there are more of Dottore out there.
It's interesting how, while you've never had enough information going into an archon quest to actually make a sensible plan to deal with the situation, this quest finally points that out by asking for a plan. And while Nahida's plan is obviously a bad one (basically, a heart con means unpredictable consequences, and is thus best avoided by anyone who actually intends to still be around for them), it's hard to argue against it in more detail than "experience and maturity tell me this is a very bad idea" without far more information than you could have.

The moment Nahida said “nor can I abandon the people of Sumeru” that was the moment where she became a true archon for me, because it just goes to prove that even if she’s not loved by her people, she is willing to literally put herself in danger and expose herself in front of a harbinger, just to protect them
Yess ikr i was literally smiling like a madman
I love how act 3 and 4 subtly improve sumeru characters impressions of Nahida, creating new faith in her and giving them an alternative to the academia's tyranny.
I'm scared for Tighnari in this quest. The akademeya seems desperate to have Tighnari in Sumeru city. We know they were harvesting wisdom via dreams and they are trying to heal irminsul tree. Tighnari has vast knowledge with plants. While irminsul is not a tree by a biological sense, Tighnari could contribute a lot with his wealth of knowledge alone. I thought for a second that they kidnapped Tighnari when we went to his village and he wasn't there 😭
when i saw on map that he's on padis i though something happened to karkata
His voice line did say something like "what are they gonna do about it? Lock me up?"
Don't, you're giving me au whump fuel...
I swear sumerus archon quest has to be the best one so far its soo good
I’m glad they are finally giving aether and lumine different choreography in cutscenes. Aether kicks that guy away where as lumine drop kicks and jumps off him into the air haha
Timeskip?

It's the same. Both of them did that.

I just put the two side by side, played it several times and they still have the same animations
I don't think they'll be doing that any time soon
"I wanna go back to Mondstadt" HELP THIS WAS SO ME DURING THE WHOLE QUEST
bro I did not expect Dottore to be number 2. I always thought he was 5 or below
No. 5 was already revealed to be Pulcinella since the Teyvat Chapter Storyline trailer
And the 3 strongest harbingers are stronger than fucking archons which is insane
Number 2 just by rawr fighting power that scary

The fact Traveler will live for thousands of years really makes me wonder what they are and how long they've lived so far. I really look forward to when we'll finally get some backstory for them.
Well, the Traveler we played as went into a 500 year slumber at the start. It can also be assumed that the twin witnessed the tragedy of Kan’rieha all those years ago.
@@user-Robin151 They live so long that they witness stars die.
I think it is mentioned in Ei's voicelines
Anyway, you should be careful around her."
So funny enough, the highest rank that Capitano can be is rank 4, as far as we know right now, since Pierro is 1, Dottore is 2, and Damselette is 3.
We also don't know if Pierro is even ranked among them. He is the director of the Fatui (pretty interesting if you think about it in a theatrical sense. "It's time to end tonight's spectacle, right now you have no captive audience...") which means Capitano could still be rank 1.
Mocking the god of animo, questioning the lord of geo's financial savings, and having a brawl to the god of electro...😂😂 just spit my water....😂😂🤧
Me at the beginning of this quest: "You know, when I said I wanted more Traveler voice lines, this isn't what I meant." XD
Your reaction to Dottore's voice was pretty much my reaction to Dottore's voice.
I hope to GOD that Dottore will be playable in the future, this design is everything!
The real reason why Nahida is facing off against Il Dottore, the Number Two of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, is because _Number Two_ is another way to say _dook-dook_
OH MY GOD
How could I have been so blind...
Time to watch Bran being mindblown yet again XD
The intro gets me everytime omg I'm pissing rn 😭
I also saw the Fortune teller Harem Joke as Foreshadowing what Dottore did with the people adoring the Traveller
The way he went: “THE SECOND?!?!” when dottore’s harbinger rank came up 💀
I waited long enough. Thnx for the content. Speedy recovery on that arm brother.
When Kusanali said "nor can I abandon the people of Sumeru", I became her faithful follower....

The thing that I got a little bit triggered and amused is that I met two npc named Makan, and Minum. I know it'll probably mean differently in other languages, but in Malay, Makan literally means 'eat', and Minum is 'drink' 😂😂😂

1 Sucrose
A whole lotta weapons
And for the final touch
I got cryo Cyno that collects herbs 😃
Ah yes the rare cryo cyno
Why even lie about it?
@@nikolaes108 She doesnt do it without hesitation, though. Nahida had to think long and hard about the solutions to fighting the Akademiya. She even said (not exact quote) "If I could, I I would want to just leave these people alone, but as the situation stands now, I have no choice but to accept it". Also the people she "controls" in the desert are the Village keepers/mad scholars, and she does it when they or others around them are in danger, like during earthquakes. Its not like she sticks around and controls people willy nilly
Sumeru food seems a little bit too good, Dottore must of lost track of his diet cause his define jaw is gone and now it’s round

It's not his actual form tbf
it was just his baby fat, remember this is his younger version lol

I think scara just wants to take away all his humanity to be the perfect host for a gnosis like his orginal purpose. His line of "no need to fear, the pain will be brief" idk if that's for us/ the traveler or for himself once he gains the power of a gnosis
But still, make sense why he hates humanity bc he was betrayed by 3 person that close to him. But nah, it's still a bad idea for him.
@@gabrielsingal209 true, i mean, plus the added thought of he was made for a single purpose but couldn't even fill the role due to something he can't control along with the 3 betrayals. He had to have questioned why he's even alive at least once-
I have a feeling his line “no need to fear, the pain will be brief” is him comforting himself while the sages of the akademiya are trying to re-create him into a new god. It is just my own personal theory tho. Maybe we will find out more in the future.

Dude what an experience! And I LOVE the voice actor!!! Almost gave me chills o.o
if in th next part of the archon quest they make collei have an interaction with dottore i simply will just burst into tears i cannot handle that. collei does NOT need a reminder of her time in that awful place and she does not need to see that terrible man
If only 2 separate Heralds are causing that much trouble, imagine what all 11 would have done together
Also, nice look of visible confusion when Nahida mentioned Setaria the first time.

Anemo: May the wind guide your journey
Dendro: May the spirit of wisdom go with you
Geo: uhhhh May you have enough Mora?
Electro: ehhhh May you don't get struck by lighting?
Personal theory, that is probably the reason for his line, “My experiment was a success.” Which means this entire “adoration” thing is for him to use again once the process turning Scara into a “new God” is complete. So that he can freely manipulate all the Sumeru citizens’ Akasha terminal and make them worship God Scara. ONLY if Scara did turn into a god ofc. Again it is a personal theory.
I missed this on Twitch. Glad it's here 💖

A wild Katherine has appeared
Lmao it is kinda weird seeing Katherine away from the adventures guides
(since they will be under the effect of the "admiration" thing Dottore is working on)
It would be interesting because the whole concept of being "a bird stuck in a cage" that we see surrounding Nahida would make more sense, since she's able to "fly" from person to person normally, but now she can't do it anymore.
1:21:43, reminds me of Lumine talking about Dainsleif.

Yeah Nahida is the most caring Archon we’ve met so far…
Dottore is what I imagine is the voice of the "Removal Doctor" from Midnight Newspaper. Lmao.
About the omega build, in Childe's voiceline about Dottore + the Lazzo trailer, it's implied he's made robotic clones of himself. This is just the omega technology, there are more of Dottore out there.
If wonder if you manage to outsmart and slay Dottore and ask him how to cure Eleazar, You'll basically make everything easier, Maybe 😅
Man every time Nahida said “Scarlet King” my mind went straight to SCP lol
