@@Blackandwhitecat-u9v I’ve been in the car industry since 1988. I’ve never seen any like this. Plus now there’s more money then ever before. Hardly any supply to be sold. It’s sad manufacturing is so far behind. If we hit a recession, all these companies are wiped. Tesla is leading the game and will crush anyone. Sad.
@@Blackandwhitecat-u9v Also the MDX is an average vehicle and shouldn’t be marked up. It’s just a fancier Pilot. This is why people are going to Audi and BMW. Don’t have to deal with that nonsense. Plus Acura is having lots of issues with their cars anyway. That’s why they are all over other new car lots traded in.
I bought the 2023 Carbon A-Spec RDX and we loved it. I liked it so much that we also bought a white one. Both are quiet and love everything about the car. The only minor gripe is I wish the infotainment system was touchscreen, the mousepad isn't too bad but takes a little time to get good with it. Fuel economy is between 24 and 26MPG highway and City
it wouldn't be practical to have a touchscreen that sits so far back in the dash. You'd have an accident trying to fiddle around with a touchscreen sitting so far back. In fact, having a touchscreen in a car is stupid. It's a horrible driver distraction. Acura knows exactly what they're doing.
Have this car, and love it. But I can't help but wish they made a type s version with the updated civic type r engine, and if it had a manual, it would be incredible
@@dominoberry8858 it's only had 1 major service at 10k miles. It was required, the car kept alerting me about it. Believe it was $400 or $500. Been rock solid so far. Oil changes are only $60 too
WOW that is one slick looking RDX. The black exterior color is beautiful and throw in the black and red interior has sold me. The $57,544 for the RDX is a good price for everything on the car. Nice flat floor with the seats folded down. Throw the touch pad in the garbage. Try using it while driving. Another excellent review. Thanks.
This is the EXACT reason I am waiting to see what the next refresh brings. A touchscreen has been standard for years and the touchpad doesn't cut it. Everything else fits my needs, but that screen needs to be updated...
Once activated, will the A/C and the ventilated seats stay in the "on" mode when you turn the vehicle off and then back on again? Those items need to automatically come on when you start the vehicle using the remote start function. I want to cool the vehicle down on a hot day before I enter the vehicle.
Depending on the temperature the seats will auto fan or auto heat with remote start. Also, if it’s cold the heated steering wheel will turn on with heated wiper park, and heated side view mirrors as well with the remote start. Keep in mind it’s heated wiper park not a heated windshield.
Great review! The only gripe I had with the RDX were the taillights. In January we were shopping around for a SUV for the mrs. She had no problems with the RDX, but those taillights just killed me. I could3imagine her backside looking like that while going down the road, especially at that pricepoint. So I literally spent $20,000.00 more and bought her the MDX instead. And yes, the touchpad is ergonomically perfectly located, especially on the MDX. We have had ZERO issues. True, Acura SHOULD have also made it a touchscreen simply for business purposes to not alienate customers, but if it also had a touchscreen, I would still be using the touchpad 80% of the time. So , yes, I agree with you...the touchpad isn't a reason to not buy the RDX or MDX.
@@geocape7060272 horsepower is not that much power i can see if it had at least 400 horsepower 272 horsepower is weak it's still a beautiful looking car though.
Just had one of these as a loaner! Several cons. 1st the gas mileage is falsely advertised. I was getting 16.8 mpg all around. The noise from the road in the front of the vehicle was horrible. The handling into a corner let a lot to be desired. This is definitely not a car. It’s an SUV and handles like one. The rear seating for someone 6ft3 was inadequate and the 3rd row seating is just a plain joke for an adult. I thought for such a large tire that a lot of the road shock would be absorbed but was very disappointing. The front drivers seat was very uncomfortable. Although, the passenger seat was very comfortable and spacious.the controls on the dash were very hard to see at night and were very difficult to access. The touchpad was a bit quirky but wore on me after a bit. The transmission was a 6 speed paired to the V6 and just was very clunky. That V6 needs at least a 8 speed transmission. The best Pro (positive) thing that I found was the sound system. Great sound. But that is probably intentionally that way to drown out the road noise. All in all, for $55,000+ shop around people. I’ve owned a Honda product for 44 years and this vehicle was far from the level of quality I am used to in a Honda product. I am not paid for this review nor have any affiliations with this particular Branding. I recommend you do your own research on drive this vehicle as some reviews are extremely biased.
The CRV is no where near the driving experience the RDX is. Comfort and power just for starters. I test rode the CRV and daily the RDX. Not just blowing CVT smoke 💨.
I traded in a 2012 MDX that was trouble free for 90,000 miles for a 2023 RDX a-spec. A week later drove it for a 3,000 mile 2 week vacation. The RDX is amazing and so much fun to drive. Interstate driving proved to be great with more power than it needed. The RDX actually felt quicker than the MDX that I had taken on that same trip every year in the past 11 years. The Sarasota Florida Acura dealer has been great since my first visit many years ago. When people ask me about how and why I like the all black RDX I tell them it’s a sports car that looks like an SUV.
I don't get all the touchpad hate. Once you are used to it, it works great and you don't have to deal with fingerprints on the screen...🤷♂

This is the second video I’ve seen of this vehicle and both times the infotainment screen keeps blinking out of focus. What’s up with that?
It has to do with the camera used to film the video. The flickering effect is not actually happening.
