About the warps, yes it is advisable to do the Departure first coz it is a guaranteed 5-star character.👍 The standard banner, which shares the same ticket as Departure, is not a guaranteed character, it can be also a 5-star light cone.
Departures first then go with the limited characters. The wishes work exactly the same as Genshin with 90 warps for guaranteed % star character and 50/50 on the limited banner and a chance at a light cone or 5 star character on the permanent banner. You can get enough of the standard passes through playing the game so you don't need to spend your jade on them. Also don't forget about the trial characters in the travel log you can try and get rewards like in Genshin

I managed within the first day. If you want to get through quick, make sure to level all your characters to 20/30 (first ascension) as you get a free standard warp. One final thing to add is that for the standard banner (not the beginner), you get a standard five star of choice after 300 pulls. This basically means that you can guarentee a non-limited 5 star unit in 300 pulls. I mention this because himeko is a non-limited 5 star and you seem to want to get her. (To clarify, non-limited 5 stars are not available on a guarantee in limited banners, you can only get them by losing your 50/50 on them)
So if I understand you correctly (which I may not) - if I want Himeko, I have to wish on the banner with all the characters on it. If I want Seele, I have to wish on the banner with her on it?

(It shows up as the topmost in the left side of the warp screen) This has the discount on warps and has the 50 pull guarantee. This is the one you really want to take advantage of. The one with just Seele as the image is the limited wish. This works like genshin limited banners where you pull with a guarantee at 90 pulls and have a 50/50 chance to get the unit on the banner, or get a random non-limited five star. The bottom most banner is the standard/regular wish. This is the one that allows a guarantee on a five star character (non-limited) of choice. Keep in mind that the guarantee is in 300 pulls, which is quite a lot. You are still guaranteed A five star in the regular 90 pulls, but it is up to chance and can be any of the non-limited units. You would guarantee himeko by pulling those 300 times and picking her as the unit of choice. Hope this clears stuff up.

Apparently those who are writing HSR story are the same who wrote the one in Honkai impact so I’m expecting it to be more mature and overall better than genshin’s story. But we’ll see
i say just do the Starter Wrap with freebies u are gonna recieve via the events, don't use SJ (stellar jade basically the primos) on Normal Passes. Afterwards use them on Permanent Wrap. I think its ideal to hold onto SJ for Special Golden Passes as they feature limited time characters who are more valuable imo.
