Your vid was so helpful amigo, I was stuck for so long getting the bumper plate to snap in but went to your tutorial and realized I wasn't making sure the arms were in position. I was gonna go yell at a seller on ebay thinking they sold me the wrong bumpers. So thanks again amigo🙏🏽✌🏽
just wanted to thank you bro. I appreciate you for actually taking your time and going step by step the right way. much respect bro and hope all the best for ya.
Not having a problem with the sync button or the plastic bit that hits the actual button for the bumpers but the little hook on the bumpers(far end piece) will only fit on one side at a time and they both click like normal until i put the back casing on in which case it just doesnt click on that side thats not fit into place and yes i tried with the back case already on and same end result
I did this repair (with another kit) and my right bumper doesn't spring back, it just stays down. I used a different kit and I'm wondering if that's why or if any of you know what might be causing this. Putting it on and taking it off will surely break the replacement at some point.
I'd recommend snipping off one of the little hooks at the end of the bumper that's stuck. Not the legs that press the button itself, but the part that hooks in for extra stability.
PSA: A lot of the internet says the casing screws are T8. The kit I ordered had a T8. However, after stripping a screw, I realized. You need a T9!! Not a T8. Maybe others got it to work with a size too small but I couldn't. Was fortunate enough to buy some security tork bits for $5 at my local store to confirm. And all went well thanks to this video. All fixed and working again TLDR: If your screwdriver isn't working on those back 5 screws, get a T9 security tork!
Understandable, the screws it uses are a special almost TORX type. The amazon link i have put in the description should solve your problems. Hope this helps :)
Hey, you have to break the sticker thats under the batteries to find it, just feel around with the screwdriver until you feel a bit of give. It should be toward the middle. I am pretty sure that if your controller is an official xbox controller it should be there.

@@KindaSolidSnake how does this work, will the button be loose feeling but function properly or will it feel like its how its meant to be?
@@moonpig660 It feels fine. It's still connected to the bar that holds both of the bumpers.

I'm having trouble putting the bumpers back on. It just won't go on please help.
make sure u have the right model number
otherwise, just follow the video closely and keep trying, they will fall into place eventually, it’s tough though
I can't unscrew it. None of the screwdrivers I have been using are working to dismantle it

@@jb4037 My God the Xbox one has to be one of the worst systems ever
Yea if it helps I have found that you can get by with using a small flathead screwdriver that can fit in the screw. Itll work if its the right size
@@jb4037 cheers, ill have a look into that
This helped me out so much!! Thank you! Do you have a girlfriend???? I am down to game with you anytime!
My controller doesn't have the screw under the batteries
