Very clever ! You "MacGuyvered" it ! Only one observation; a "kick" plate actuator near the back of the kick space would reduce the chance of a toe-stub.

nice design but still no lid. after awhile with organic waste starts stinking. you have to figure out a way to have a lid

Na, I have the same setup. no lid's not a problem and more convenient. If it starts stinking it's overdue to be taken out.
