@@evilcheese1119 to me deadlock feels more like a proper sentinel than sage because her abilities work well with each other more than sage’s. But I don’t use sage so I can’t really say for certain.
@stevennguyen2948 the point of a sentinel is to hold down a certain area on the map and although sage has walls and slow orbs, a heal isn't necessary for a sentinel.
A really good combo that happened to me was a deadlock used her net and trapped 3 of my teammates and then a brim ulted us while we were stuck in the net
Tip: When defending, don't block the entire chokepoint with your mesh. Just put it along the usual entry routes. This forces the entry to go around it instead of having the mesh be spammed down before the enemies enter site. It helps funnel enemies into your traps, force them into awkward positions which favor your crossfires.
Honestly I think she’s good on tight maps: ascent, fracture, split Personally I think deadlock only strives off of: close corners and obstacles So as soon as breeze and icebox come back into the map roster she’ll fall off of meta as the sites and paths to site are way to open for her kit to actually have value
I agree, playing her on maps like breeze, sunset and lotus make her relatively useless but on maps like bind, ascent and split, I can easily top frag 😅

more like she is annoying and you can't just ignore her skills. The sensor stun is so big but you can slow walk (many forget this) ,the wall is too strong
that doesn’t take away from the fact that she’s good at holding choke points. she’s way better than someone like chamber. all of her abilities completely slow down pushes, chamber is only good for watching flank and his headhunter only does anything if you hit your shots.
I really like deadlock, feels like they are establishing the role of sentinel a lot more instead of hybrid sentinels like chamber or sage

sentinels are generally weak in breeze except pre-nerf chamber since oping is strong there.
Icebox is gonna be a really good map for her in my opinion so many places to hide trips and so many wall placements to funnel them into 1 area

I've been learning Deadlock since I cam back to the game a while ago and I've discovered she is possibly the best sentinel for Split
