- So here's how I chose the albums for this list. I researched and listened and agonized until I had a list of the best and most influential albums ever - the music recordings of the last half-century that need no introduction. Every single album on the list is excellent, and I made an effort to make the list as diverse as possible in terms of artists and genres represented.

Well done on including endtroducing, an amazing and underappreciated album
Always interesting. I own about 10 of your list, but only about 4 of yours are in my top 50 albums of all time. It is always personal and often about which ones you bought and grew up listening to. My top5: Selling England by the Pound, Bob Marley and the Wailers Live, Stone Roses, Rust Never Sleeps, and Transformer. Legend btw is a compilation, which ideally shouldn't appear on such lists. The ones we share are LZ4, Rumours, Velvet Underground and Ziggy Stardust.
Song in the key of life should be on here!!!
always interesting to see older generations favorite music. this list is super western and older.
Good list!

Appetite for Destruction should be top 25
I've only heard 28 of them and only own a handful. The others I've heard from my local public library.
How is dark side of the moon 27
Hell, it's generous even giving it 27. Easily the most overrated album of all time.
you're right shouldn't even be on the list
How is Stg Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band not too 50
Top 10:
1. Abbey Road
2. Exile On Main Street
3 The Dark Side Of The Moon
4. The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars
5. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
6. Arrival
7. Live At Leeds
8. Physical Graffiti
9. Blonde on Blonde
10. Pet Sounds
My top 10 would be:
Derek Webb I See Things Upside Down
David Bowie Black star
Elton John Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Bob Dylan blood on the tracks
Jackson Browne running on empty
Peter Gabriel 3
Stone temple pilots purple
O brother where art thou soundtrack
Arcade fire the suburbs
Forgot about Wilco Yankee hotel foxtrot
I only know PJ Harvey because my aunt and uncle are fans and I’m a Thom Yorke fan so they played “the mess were in” but I should check her out
revolver - it is best ever
There shouldn't be compilation albums here. Also, there isn't a single album from this century. There should be some.
海外のベストアルバムもテクノやIDMを始めとした電子音楽が入らないのと誰もが持ってる一家に1枚的な名盤ばかりや、テン年代以降現在のアルバムがほんと入らない。まるで時代が止まってるようだ
I’d argue that blue, Hejira and hissing of summer lawns would be a more worthy entry for Joni ( and who is ranked criminally low)
This guy must be from the east coast, how cna you put ready to die (Biggie) and neglect all eyez on me (2pac)
This guy is also a dumbass, more hip hop albums
ima be honest, all eyez on me is not pacs best album, nor the second best. If anything, me against the world is the only pac album that would belong above ready to die, and i wouldnt even put it above that. But this dude only has 1 rap album in here at all, which is really stupid. Illmatic, Enter the wutang, me against the world, and straight outta compton all belong in this list somewhere, maybe even paid in full and the inphamous
and plus illmatic is 100% top 10 worthy
Edit: didnt realise that itanomthub was on here , so that make 2 hip hop albums, but still
No you just a fan boy
@@lukerman510 LMAO no
@@Nick-qf7vt yes pop is trash👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼except mj
And highway 61 is a great selection for Dylan but he has more then one top 50 album same with Joni blonde on blonde highway 61 and blood on the tracks are all top 50 at least and blue is top 10 no question
The list is ok, but the order is a little suspect.
Music from Big Pink! Live at Leeds Who! Live at Filmore Allmans! Raw Power!! Come on! And no Sabbath or Neil Young??? wtf!!!!! Pet Sounds # 1.
I agree Pet Sounds is greatest album of all time
Yea joni mitchell is better than floyd, lot of pish lol soundtracks, live, or best ofs are not albums either
Pet sounds should be #1
YES!!! GREATEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME
One of the most overrated albums of all time.
