I agree with Crowder we will be a sub 500 team next yr ..but if that runs Grier and staff out of town I will take it but if Vrabel takes the New England job they will be better + the bills
So is the team in general. Name a previous dolphins team who beat "good" teams consistently or won in the playoffs? It's more than just Tua. Blaming Tua here is just lazy. The culture and overall team make huge mistakes when playing better teams and we get out disciplined and out coached usually. It's an organizational problem more than anything.
There are a ton of GMs in the NFL that could have built a respectable roster with all the time and draft picks Grier had. 9 years without a playoff win should be what you are focusing on. Mike shares a lot of the blame, but at the end of the day, Grier failed this team, especially when it comes to the o-line and backups QBs.
I dont agree with Crowder all the time, but this time, i do.. But tua was exposed before and after the injury.. And hochman should be replace.. He's talking out of loyalty instead of reality..
This team is built with its best players being old and/or injury prone...Tua, Phillips and Armstead are never all on the field against the top teams and without them the team just gets pushed around (the only other impact player we have on defense is Ramsey)...our RB's look good against weak opponents but against big strong DL/LB teams they were ineffective and with no run game even the Dolphins passing attack isn't going to work against top defenses. i would still like to see teams built with draft capital spent on OL's, CB's, and DE's/LB's and a QB when available.
This franchise has been a joke for half a century and seemingly looking for another 50 years. The only way Ross gets it, is if Dolphins run out of tunnel to an empty home stadium. Long past time to boycott this pathetic so called organization.
I love Tua. But they don’t know he was injured every year in high school, every year in college, and every yr in the pros but one. So it is something Grier should have known and put up a brick wall. Plus you just paid him a fortune. Keep him on the field. May I also point out the 2 off lineman drafted high after Tua were run blockers. Lousy grades in pass blocking! The commentator of the draft said on the broadcast what are they thinking? You get a rookie qb a big off lineman
Ross is an absentee landlord. More concerned with Tennis and F1. Look how he celebrated the 49’ers win like it was a AFC clinching win. Satisfied with mediocrity. Hoch lives in Dolphins fantasyland.
Coaches can only work with what they are given, Grier has cosistently (for a decade) failed to build anything but "skill positions" in Miami. How can you not have the foundation for any offense (Offensive Line) built after 10 years?
I checked the availability stat year before last (before his 17 game season) and Lamar had missed more games than Tua. I also think Burrow had missed more too.
Interesting what's going on in South Beach! As a Bills backer I am somewhat stunned. McDaniel is now 3 years with this franchise, right? Nobody will take his apparent offensive genius away from him. But he is NOT HC material. And most likely never will be. A great OC for sure but that's as good as it gets for him. Most outsiders can see that, the Dolphins brass obviously cannot. Next there is Tua. While he is a very likeable person and a very good QB, he is not in the same AFC QB tier like Mahomes, Allen, Jackson, Burrow. And also probably never will be. I don't think he is not even on the next tier of signal callers either - containing guys like Herbert, Lawrence or Stroud. Simply because Tua is a one-trick-pony (take his first quick read away and he gets antsy in the pocket) and on top of that has a glass chin. The best ability is availability they say and Tua was hurt in the past missing quite some games and will get hurt in the future because he simply isn't build to take lots of punishment. Then there's the current roster building/construction of this once proud franchise. Fancy, speedy, tricky, finesse primadonna chess pieces who instantly falter once they play outside of balmy Florida. If you want to win and go to the playoffs you have to be relevant within the division. But the Dolphins aren't built for that and once they get to the postseason they are one and done because they are simply not equipped for December/January football weather. So unless, they discover that and act accordingly I don't the see the Dolphins presenting any serious challenge to the BIlls as division champs. Even the Pats got their QB right now and brought in a real head coach. So down the road I expect them to be the real threat to Buffalo and not the Dolphins while the Jets are...well the Jets!
The bestest issue with this team no one is looking at because they are blinded by the qb and want to blame the qb it’s they let go of Robert hunt and Connor Williams. Last year when they couldn’t beat the good team it was one of the key players on that line going down. The key players were armstead, Williams and Hunt.
while it's true McD has a lot of the blame, Grier selected Tua over Herbert, who won MVP of the Senior Bowl. McD sold Fins on him becoming HC by sending Fins a video of Tua's best plays, but had no experience as a head coach. IMO Grier hired him in an effort to save HIS job, though at this point it seems clear he has something on Ross
Yeah CC!! Grier put together a really talented roster for 2023 that just fell apart due to injury. The injuries were so bad that they cost our two edge guys virtually the entire 2024 season of play! Jaylen Phillips had four games or so while Bradley Chubb missed it all! All told, since Grier had the full run of team personnel in 2019, he has brought far more studs than duds. McD meanwhile continues to show no adaptability in his watered down Shanahan dink and dunk offensive scheming. If someone totally new to football were to watch our team this year in particular, they could not be blamed for thinking the game was played across the width of the field instead its length!! I have plenty of insecurity going forward with McD in his role as HC than I do with Grier continuing as GM. But I am absolutely disgusted with both men deciding to go into this season with Robert Jones and Liam Eichenberg as our starting guards for the year. How could it have been not clear enough to them that these two players are not starting calibre when they were forced into action last year and did nothing against average or better defensive fronts except to send our running game exclusively outside the tackles and force Tua to make impossible throws to unopen Hill / Waddle because those defenses could simultaneously pressure Tua while covering the WRs for 2.5 seconds or slightly more!! My one glimmer of hope hearing about these two starters was that they had made some remarkable improvements to their game, similar to Austin Jackson's remarkable 2023 turnaround career year. But these two have had plenty more games than AJ to show that they were worth something yet have not. Because of that, I would not be displeased if Ross decided to jettison either or both of Grier / McD. However I am also not displeased if one or both are back. Whether they ultimately are or not, whoever is here to run the show MUST give #1 priority to returning our OL to a punishing, dominant unit that cause other teams to wonder why they bother to show up on Sundays!
AYK, Lions had serious defensive injuries, but Dan Cambell's backups played their hearts out for him. FYI, DC was interim HC after Brian Flores was fired for not wanting to waste his time with Tua. Baby won't you look at hiom now- he took broken team to a BYE- ANOTHER EXAMPLE WHY GRIER HAS TO GO
I truly dont know how after they lost so much talent last off season we expected them to be as good or better. It was hardly talked about , everything was peaches until it wasn't. We fans are over reacting due to getting used to being "good" after 2 seasons which is laughable. Its frustrating watching them stumble over themselves on and off the field semi pro type behavior. WHY COULDN"T BRIAN FLORES JUST LET THE BENGALS WIN !?!?!?!?!?!?!? We'd be talking about Burrow and Flores tearing the league up , but NOOOOOOOO. We can't have anything nice.
Both are equal, in my opinion.Grier for not drafting ol and backup qb Mc Daniel for not replacing st coach strength and conditioning coach. Terrible coaching, no disaplin, no accountability, and too much passing.Grier bringing in injury prone players and projects and drafting players not needed.Coach for coddling players promoting them to miss games even though their good to go.Leaving in key players when games are out of reach such as tuas injury this year against buffalo and last season ending chubbs season leaving him in game with 400 left was unexcuseable. Both need gone too many picks to blow this season bring in Mike vrabel he will change things emidetaly.
Anybody who said you have to extend Tua when he still had his 5th year option to play on should not be taken seriously… We don’t care for the apologists anymore. Nothing but excuses🤦♂️
Due to his injury history, Tua is a great backupQB. His injuries and lack of consistency, besides arm strentgh and decision making on the field, do not make him by any means a top 10 QB. Also… we have agreat roster??? Detroit has a great roster. We have a team with some good/great, injury prone and overpaid players and many abismal players.
Ross is a great owner in that he provides resources BUT he is horrible at trusting & hiring the wrong guys. GRIER drafts & signs guys w/long injury histories, refuses to provide quality OL, team is soft, cap is a mess, Tua ain't the guy, McDaniel lost me w/his ridiculous comments following Hill's horrible behavior & arrest. Grier drafted his son's roomie & that guy is a BUST!
Fans like Marc are the reason the franchise has been stuck in mediocrity for over two decades. He’s intentionally and purposely ignorant to the reality of our situation. As long as fans like him make excuses for this garbage Ross will NEVER change.
Mcdaniel needs to completely focus on head coaching and give up everything having to do with calling plays and running the offense. Trust your OC, because he is the WORST game day HC in the game and that’s the most important job
Tua is NOT a top 10 QB, stop it. He had more weapons then most past 3 years and has done what? It's about wins, not stats! And I dont know why anyone would listen to Hochman!
if these fools cant admit that tua isn't a top 10 qb what do we as dolphins fans expect from the franchise the team is hopeless bcuz the ppl that are surrounding this team dont understand how to evaluate personel hoch absolutely cant evaluate personal all he does is give excuses guys a moron... get rid of tua Grier n ross n start over there's nothing to save for over 20 years this is pathetic !!!..
Lamar, Allen, Mahones, Burrow, Goff, Daniels, Stafford, Love, Herbert, Hurts, Murry, Rodgers, Stroud are all better than Tua. Missing more! How is Tua top 10 again?
"Tua is a top ten QB" - and that's why no one takes you seriously. In no particular order - Mahomes, Burrow, Herbert, Allen, Lamar, Stroud, Love. Daniels, Stafford, Hurts, Baker and Goff are certainly better than Tua. You could argue also that these QBs are on par with Tua - Dak, Wilson, Rodgers, Lawrence, Nix, Darnold.... Hoch is very delusional with how the fan base feels
Hoch is delusional to think next season is going to be any different with Grier and McDaniel.
Hoch plays his role, that of a clown. Crowder is 100% correct. Today, McDaniel is the biggest problem for this franchise, period.
I agree with Crowder we will be a sub 500 team next yr ..but if that runs Grier and staff out of town I will take it but if Vrabel takes the New England job they will be better + the bills
Tua isn't a Top 10 qb. .. He's No.1 at beating The Bad Teams Tho

Solana spitn facts
Nah, Grier's failed for 22+ years
Solana speaking the truth. Hoch lives in the clouds in all aspects.
Hochman is blind.
Solana is spot on
Agreed
There are a ton of GMs in the NFL that could have built a respectable roster with all the time and draft picks Grier had. 9 years without a playoff win should be what you are focusing on. As a Bills fan, listening to the unending civil war between Dolphins fans is like an orgasm for my brain
Every dog has their day
@585_Phinfan or 5 years
😂😂 Dont act like Buffalo didn't go through misery for 25yrs
I feel Miami.may regret not hiring a coach this summer.
I never thought id see the day when I agree with Solana
Years ago the Dolphins used to prioritize the offensive line when we had Ryan Tannehill. We still stunk up the place.
I dont agree with Crowder all the time, but this time, i do.. But tua was exposed before and after the injury.. And hochman should be replace.. He's talking out of loyalty instead of reality..
Coaching is the biggest issue on this team
@@dmark_23 Who hired the coach? lol
@ still who coaches the team who is letting the players run the team basically?
This team is built with its best players being old and/or injury prone...Tua, Phillips and Armstead are never all on the field against the top teams and without them the team just gets pushed around (the only other impact player we have on defense is Ramsey)...our RB's look good against weak opponents but against big strong DL/LB teams they were ineffective and with no run game even the Dolphins passing attack isn't going to work against top defenses. i would still like to see teams built with draft capital spent on OL's, CB's, and DE's/LB's and a QB when available.
Hoch is Just As Soft As McDaniel and Tua
Thanks Crowder for telling the truth... loved you when you played and love you now!!!
Solana is right FACTS 💯 🫡Tua ain't the one,🎯 Hoch holds his breath every time Tua gets hit, probably have a heart attack if Tua runs 😂😂😂
Channing is cooking, McDummy really needed to go.
This franchise has been a joke for half a century and seemingly looking for another 50 years. The only way Ross gets it, is if Dolphins run out of tunnel to an empty home stadium. Long past time to boycott this pathetic so called organization.

@ that year yes. But that 1 out of 9 years now since high school. Certainly he knew the Alabama history well.
Hoch.. he missed 14 games in 5 years.. let's compare him to Herbert and them.. you will not like the numbers
HE’S THE MOST FRAGILE QUARTERBACK!!!!!!!!!
You either don't know what words mean or you're oblivious to the fact that you are wrong. Which is it?
Ross is an absentee landlord. More concerned with Tennis and F1. Look how he celebrated the 49’ers win like it was a AFC clinching win. Satisfied with mediocrity. Hoch lives in Dolphins fantasyland.
This was a good conversation 💯
The stats were good against bad teams...
Grier loves injury prone players.
Hochmaon keeps interrupting. No respect.
Fire Greer!!!
They make him pass under 2.5 seconds because of the offensive line.
Crowder is spot on at 10:03
Solana is right.
Coaches can only work with what they are given, Grier has cosistently (for a decade) failed to build anything but "skill positions" in Miami. How can you not have the foundation for any offense (Offensive Line) built after 10 years?
For 3 years straight we have been bad at guard
This Hochman guy is only there to be a contrarian... Boring.
This season is showing you how bad the coaching is. QBs not knowing plays, WRs not knowing routes. All of that comes from coaching issues.
Jalen Ramsey nearly admitted Head Coach is the problem when he praised his defensive coach instead.
Yep for the first time he lose and got out coached by a team below 500 🤦🏿♂️
The offensive line makes the world go around.
I checked the availability stat year before last (before his 17 game season) and Lamar had missed more games than Tua. I also think Burrow had missed more too.
That said no doubt we need a starting backup and need to draft a QB this year.
I put the blame on Flores when they had the 3 first round picks. He cost them Joe Burrow by not playing Josh Rosen the rest of that 2020 season. Smh

Tua is barely top 20.. doing screens.. come on... why do you guys love Tua???
You think Tua is out there calling the plays? That's Mike McDaniel my guy.
No Hoch, Tua did that in post game interviews in season two
Tyreek decided not to continue because his talent was not being used CORRECTLY........
