Love my Korg Wavestate. Endless capabilities. The V2 update is amazing...along with your stellar in-depth tutorial video. Thank you for sharing. Cheers.
Thanks for this video! Great tutorial! The Wavestate is like a map of my mind. These new found powers to edit and sample are so good! Thank you Korg for being a brand I first fell in love with back in 1985 when I received a DW-8000 for Christmas. :-) You keep expanding creative possibilities!
Wavestate is like the Wavestation, it is "a personal journey" - soo soo true, what a great quote! I have never been that into creating patches on my synths, but for some reason I find patch creation a wonderful experience on the Wavestate, it is such an inspirational synth - I tend to start with 'Programs' rather than starting completely from scratch, and tweak from there, so maybe that is why I can build stuff so quickly and that makes it soo enjoyable. I've used some of your programs and samples too, they are ace, thanks!
This update is absolutely excellent :D It filled out the wishlist I had completely. So wild! Very excited to sample my Kurzweil synths and Omnisphere into my Wavestate... sample heaven.
I uploaded 4 gigs of my fav omni samples. its actually a lil less since the wavestate wont let u upload a full 4 gigs. Close to it though. Had to excrutiatingly delete to make room.
I have just now got my wavestate. I am completely new to all of this and so having things so easily explained is so great. Thanks. I really look forward to putting your great advice to some use. Thanks again...
This is a game changer! I’ve been hoping Korg would eventually give us a proper software interface for this brilliant little synth. It took 8 months for mine to arrive after ordering in Australia and I’ve loved it ever since.
I really love those 2libraries of yours. Wonderful atmospheres. I had the opportunity to listen to them on Omnisphere. Got them! Thanks for supporting Korg. BTW, beautiful Guru samples on factory presets.
I'm incredibly happy to own the Wavestate. I put all my other synths away and am focusing down on it for a few months because it's that inspiring to use. The creative flexibility is ASTONISHING, and the synth is very reasonably-priced. Can't recommend it highly enough, and your videos are an awesome way to get into it!
I like that you are sort of a Dad for your audience. "There is a whole lesson of schooling inside here to see what's going on." Like the commercial say, "priceless". So cool of you to acknowledge and point out things like the author of the content. "So play with everything." and "That's the way it works." I love it. Things like that is what I've been telling my kids their whole life, not just synthesizer-wise of course, but in general. Thank you for being part of this project.
I have purchased many, many of your products for Omnisphere, and they add considerably to the library for that software synth. I am strongly considering a Korg Wavestate. I don't doubt that I'll be looking at your libraries for that as well. Keep up the magnificent work!
I’ve never met a Korg I didn’t like - the radias, microKorg, ms2000, Minilogue XD, Opsix - all so fun to make patches on and to perform with. Looking forward to using the Wavestate to make experimental electronic music :)
Important - do not skip firmware update - install them as they are released. For instance, I got my WS shipped with 1.4 firmware version. And when i tried to update to the 2.01, updater just could not find the synth, nor was a network driver installed on WS. So I had to go through Korg archives and download 1.6, update my WS to it and only then was I able to update to the latest firmware. 1.6 is probably the most important update, because it allows for communication between WS and your computer.
Hi . Not sure if you can help, but I have just purchased a brand new Wavestate in the Uk and it’s version 1.4. I’m using windows10 and can’t see how to find 1.06 for Windows, only Mac. And advice would be appreciated.

I updated my Wavestate firmware today. Be forewarned that updating this machine from any version prior to 2.1.0 is basically a nightmare, at least in Windows 10. Finally (and weirdly), I purchased a new one (1.0.6), updated that to first 2.1.0, and then to 2.1.3 - but it still took repeated failed attempts over two hours to get it done. After completing this task, for reasons I do NOT understand, my PC now recognized my older machine, and allowed me to update, first to 1.0.6, then 2.1.0 and last but not least, the current 2.1.3. All I can say is, be patient if your updating, follow the instructions, and good luck!
At the moment Sample Builder doesn't support setting up Loop Offsets. I expect they will add this in the future but I am not 100% certain. Support is there in Wavestate but it's not there right now in the Sample Builder application.
